7330. good, I've increased the frequency intentionally,
7331. besides, I'm a programmer, not a writer, my main Syntax is C++, it's a miracle I don't end every line with a ';' ;

7332. I also don't tend to look away from the computer as I type, I can touch type so it isn't usually a problem, (to make a point this is fun edited), but sometimes my hands drift, and everything ends up a key, off or I'll click, my mouse sticks and whatever I'm typing out reverses just like siht.

7333. Why don't you just write program that scans everything you type and automatically corrects all your mistakes?
7334. I bet you could even sell copies of it, people would probably pay big bucks for such a revolutionary invention.

7335. there are literally dozens of pieces of software that do that, they're mostly shite, heck, windows 10 has predictive text built in,
7336. that's also a massive undertaking even if you only do it for english

7337. Wait what? seriously? Man, I really need to find a cave that's closer to town...
7338. Why the fuck would they call it "Predictive text" though? How are people even supposed to know what it does with a name like that? I would have called it "Word unmistaker" That's much more descriptive of it's actual function.

8339. strictly speaking, predictive text, guesses what you're about to type, reducing the likely hood of spelling mistakes,

7340. Well this just illustrates my point then, doesn't it? That should be called "Word guesser" or maybe "Sentence finisher" "Word helper" could also work, but its a bit too generic, IMO.

7341. Y'know, jokes aside, the people who would benefit most from these programs are probably those with a poor understanding of English, (Or whatever language the program is for, you know what I mean) So the names of them actually should be something that such a person could understand, and I don't think "Predictive text" or "Auto-correct" are.

7342. On a sidenote, I may have taken the bait if you hadn't ended that sentence with a comma...

7343. I believe the term predictive text comes from mobile originally where it was designed to speed up messaging, I do agree though the terms are generally pretty vague
