I'd have to agree. The one on the left seems... cleaner for me. The one on the right seems to have 'jerky' legs, not too many. But I can kinda see what Lucky was going for there.

I wanted to avoid posting this, but its kept bugging me everytime I see the animation.

The way she runs is really unrealistic, I've only seen running like that in animation, and if someone did try it in real life it would be unformfortable.

I get the basic ideas of a sprint (duck and run), but when you lean forward, your lower body goes back, and its more of a tilted run, instead of your really flexible legs darting past your head in that manner.

Just my thoughts, sorry if I sounded a bit like an ass there.

Modded the 24 FPS Dash a little more. Initially added 4 more frames to remove the "extra" legs effect some people are getting, but though the dash was to slow, and removed 2 of the extra frames.

I prefer the 2nd one (4 extra frames) but that is just my computer I bet.

For the sprint, angle up the body some, then if you can bend the gut area just a little bit. It should look a bit less painful assuming she wasn't flexible.



if you can, make the legs look more like kicking behind her, so instead of > its more like \

The faster she is going, the lower she can be without falling, thats physics.



Tilt the body up a bit, have the legs move about 25% less forward.

I dunno how to fix it to look better XD, Try those striked out methods or something. The problem I have is that it looks a bit uncomfortable to be running like that, and I think it would be slower.

Basically.
The second looks a lot more laboured than the third.
Third looks like the momentum is actually carrying her outstretched weight. Third FTW.

I dunno, it probably would be uncomfortable to run like that, but I'm used to it, seeing how Noel is my main character I use in Blazblue.

In any case, I think the third one, the modded 24FPS one, is the best. It looked odd at first compared to the 12 FPS one, but after looking at both for a while, the one I like the most seems to be the most fluid to me, too.

None of the latest ones seems to me to suffer from those INEXPLICABLE "extra feet" that I always wonder if I was imagining or not, but that I always seem to see when I go
and look at the example on the last page.

I'm bouncing between the 12 FPS one and the 3rd one, and I won't be unhappy whichever one gets used.

If any of them is the same number of frames and FPS as the one used in Blazblue itself, though, I'm for that one.

I think all three are great AA! I would go with the original 12 fps, though.

I like where this project is going. Not sure if it's been mentioned but are you always going to have dopplegangers with you or..? Cuz you could just make the turn cooldown faster for you on one character or something couldn't you? Also, I agree with Gore, the 12 fps one looks more natural.

I think I'm going to go back to the 12 FPS for three reasons.
1) The Blazblue sprites all seem to be 12 FPS (at least the ones I've obtained), so copying animations will be much quicker and easier.
2) I won't have to worry about tweening all the extra frames...
2a) I can always add more frames in the future if need be... (adding is easier then subtracting)
3) Gorepete said 12, so I'll go with 12.

The "dopplegangers" where there to test "party" functions... to make sure my code would work with different characters. They may all be Krystal character models on screen, but each has different stats in my code. I had an updated game with just one Krystal before I went on my thanksgiving vacation... but at some point the character model got corrupted and lost a hand full of animations I made for it... so I scrapped uploading it because it felt like a step back.

The next update to the game itself will be after I finish the "world" sprite for Krystal to explore the forest.
And I'm probably 90% sure I'm going to scrap the RPG turn base and move toward a Side-Scrolling Action Adventure. (Sorry Trunks)
The turn base combat wasn't... exciting enough for me.

I had the same feelings toward it. I wouldn't really care if it was erotica, but still, I like porn games to...actually be good and not just focused around porn. It makes the story and the game funner and more interesting.

I'm happy about the 12 FPS, and I'm happy about the action gameplay, but I just gotta say in response to that "good games" quotation that turn-based games can totally be
good games.

I'm personally a fan of more action-oriented shit, but hey.

Dat's all just down to personal preference.

I think I found the problem with that

The problem is that the feets are in a long stand-by in the air and suddenly moves too quickly when back to the ground... or i think

btw, the most simple solution is adding frames to te animation, making a little enphasis when complety in the air and hitting the ground, something that i see in de 2nd one
