Dude, did you see what Gorepete did with the streaming? Maybe you could do that too, and people could watch you work, and maybe give you constructive criticism, tips and maybe you'd get offers coming from people that want to help?

I'm just saying, in a much less blunt way than Trunks did in IC's topic, you need to try something else, cause from what I've seen the only time you post is when someone get's pissed off at waiting, and other than that, you seem to be just another lurker. What GP did seemed to work. The first project he streamed live on (I THINK it was the first) was the first full thing he completed, (Again, I'm not sure.) maybe even the first full game produced from this forum.

But still, what I said is part true. Something needs to be done different. I mean, seriously, isn't dealing with a few demands, that can easily be ignored, and a few lost fans over neglect of their demands worth it in the end, seeing as how many people would be grateful, how many people would have their hope rekindled? As far as I can see, there's a lot of people that have put their faith in the creative corner, rather than the LoK project.

No bullshit. The people you know are either lucky or take really good care of their computers. As everything gets old it gets more unstable. Even non-living things

Okay this is the last post i'm doing about computers. If you have another comment you can PM me.

The fact is that new computers don't last as long as older one's. While true stuff becomes unstable as time goes by it's not the only factor. The reason why only computers last longer is because they don't have compress as small as you can chips. Okay yes they do if you go back in time but still the point is that the smaller chips and electronics aren't as trust durable as the bigger ones. This rule doesn't apply to every chip but for general area of chips i'm talking about it does.

Now you going to say something like "why are we using crappier" chips then.
A) Their faster and more compact which is kinda why their less durable.
B) They most people are use to changing their computers before the 20 year so they really don't notice.

I believe they are using 386s(pretty sure it's dos based computer at least.) for the space station. Why you might ask. Because electrons. Again PM me if you want to hear more.

Streaming is great for the artists, but I'm not sure how interesting it'd be to watch someone programming; it's not always super-interesting to the person doing it heh. Not to mention other issues; for one I'm in the UK so the times that I'd be streaming would be bad for most, and second my internet connection, while very fast for downloading, has a terrible upload speed, I struggle to use Skype to one other person, so streaming to several wouldn't be very interesting at all.

Sure I could just upload after the fact rather than streaming, but it gets back to it being really boring to watch, and a pain for me to set-up, plus I'd probably do what I do with Twitter and do it actively for a week or two then start forgetting to do it. Not sure how much value people would get from me leaving a page of code open for 15-30 minutes while I scribble down notes and ideas, before typing out a couple lines, deleting another, renaming something. The time spent within builds of flash files is a very, very small portion of what I do, since most of the code work is done without any form of graphics anyway.

So eh, nice idea, but not sure it's a fit here, sorry

I'm just going to say it's cute how you had to post in a locked thread so you could get the last word in, and not allow me a chance to respond, so I'll attempt to make this a final post on the issues.

I don't believe those timestamps, but you're the only one that even has access to those posts now, so I can't prove else wise, so fuck it, I'll drop it. You still said it was enough time and if complications arose then you should have told us. As for me being pissy and not willing to wait longer, i know I made one single initial post, and that was 'whatever'. It was then YOU that got pissy and flew off the handle, with your oh so classy 'do you want to do the coding' response. And then 3-Y countered that post saying he would do the coding if you'd let him. I don't recall any of us saying we didn't want the demo anymore or that we couldn't wait another day. We were just pissed you couldn't keep to the deadline and were making sure you knew we were upset you were late.

And I still say post it to prove you did make it and shut me up once and for all on the issue.

Yes I know RP and Kat were not involved in the team when we had the debate of the redeye scene. That was my point. You claimed you played the 'my project' card when I was already looking to leave your team and start a new one. I'm saying you pulled it to settle the redeye debate and I wasn't even thinking of leaving yet, rather your 'my project' card is what made me start to consider that idea.

I did have issues with the redeye scene, but I was the only one with the first group, so I kept my mouth shut because I was in the minority about it. When new people joined and also didn't like it, I took my stance back up on it. And we did offer alternatives, i think we gave you two at least, I know one for sure that me and Jay came up with, I don't recall if Ptoon 3y or eggplants offering anything, they probably did but like I said I don't have access to that thread anymore so i don't know. I think part of the problem is you became so dead set on it because in your head it was 'done and settled' for so long that you refused to listen to any new doubts. Well guess what, shit gets changed all the time in the process of making games.

Hopefully this is the last of this discussion as i'm sick of it, and I don't want to get another thread locked.
