Well, one of Playshapes' aims with LoK was to build everything in a re-usable way, and the creative corner has been a testament to that as people have created all kinds of fun games and animations using the same pieces, or style of pieces, to build their projects more easily. We've no intention of changing that ease-of-reuse, though there may be a bit of extra learning required due to the way the game engine works, but the engine will hopefully be fairly easy to make a whole heap of different games using it as I pretty much stopped developing it as a LoK specific engine ages ago, as the code-base has become quite extensive.
Anyway, so I dunno what that means for "modes", but it'll certainly be possible that anything that features in LoK can be re-used to make survival/run or rape games, point and click adventure games or whatever. LoK itself will certainly feature the occasional mini-game, but largely in connection with boss/end-level type encounters, so these will have different game-play. However, the game itself is very much a single overall style of game, it'll be up to others to flesh out games of a different style, re-using LoK elements if they wish.
