"I'm sure this is just a misunderstanding." She eventually manages to say, although she sounds like she's trying to convince herself just as much as you, if not more so. "Once Sylvia's had a chance to talk to him I'm sure he'll come around and there'll be no issue. I've never known him to turn any visitor away before, even when times are tough. I don't see any reason why he should turn you away now."
To Cotton and Hazel this must make no sense at all. As far as they are concerned, you're just a Pokémon they don't recognise. How exactly could you broach the topic of being a human, even if you wanted to, without knowing if they know what that meant or not? If they knew as much about the situation as Xenarth did, would they still be supporting you? Or would they want to drive you out of town just as quickly as their beloved Elder.
Whatever such revelations would bring, you at least have them on your side for now, and they seem to want to turn your attention towards other matters.
"Well, mom said we should show you around town while you're here at least." Hazel says, trying to put on a happy smile. "So what strikes your fancy the most? Want to get something to eat at the market. Or maybe cleaned up at the bathhouse. Ooh, or maybe you want to try out the dojo for a bit?"
The two of them start to lead you away from Xenarth's secluded home and back towards the heart of the town. Cotton quickly takes lead of the direction the three of you are walking in, however, veering you towards the building she pointed out to you earlier.
"We should stop by the care center before all that, just to be on the safe side." Cotton says. "Bryce has had a long day already and we should at least see if they can give him a quick check over before we take him about town. Especially if we end up going somewhere like the dojo."
They lead you towards the building with an egg shape sign from before. Once again you find yourself catching more than a fair share of glances from passing Pokémon, however you're making less of a scene than you did when you first passed through the town. Word seems to have gotten around quick and people seem less surprised and more curious by the sight of you. If word of your arrival reached everyone so fast, you wonder how long it'll take before everyone also knows you're soon to be kicked out.
When you enter the care center at least some of that tension melts away immediately. The air inside is soothing and gentle, scented candles filling the room with a calming aroma. The lighting in the main entrance was dimmed compared to outside and the woodwork walls and furnishings topped with comfy pillows gave everything a very cosy feel to it.
You recognised a Chansey and Blissey that seemed to be working here as members of staff, speaking to visitors who were either checking in or out in very hushed and soothing tones. The only free member of staff seemed to be up ahead at the reception desk, which Cotton led you over to. She looked to be a Kirlia and looked to be about Hazel's age. She doesn't seem to be paying much attention to you, reading what seems to be a magazine of all things about... Pokégirls Gone Wild Weekly? Huh... maybe not the kind of person you would normally put at the front desk in a place like this. She's quite cute though. Flat chested and a bit of a shorty, but very pretty.
Cotton clears her throat after a few moments to announce your presence while waiting at the desk. The Kirlia doesn't respond at first. Cotton repeats herself and the Kirlia licks the tip of her finger and then turns the page of her magazine before saying "You should see a doctor for that cough, Cotton." quite dryly. Though you detect an accent in her voice that stands out compared to the other locals, giving her a bit of fancifulness to her. As if an anthropomorphic pokémon needed to be more exotic.
"Revelé, is your mother free."
"Doctor Pirouette has a lot of patients to attend to. I'm sorry if you bruised your fat butt bouncing around again but you'll have to wait till later."
Cotton slams her hands down on the desk, abruptly ending the calm atmosphere of this place. "Excuse me! What did you say, brat?"
Revelé sets her magazine down, showing a particularly explicit page about a pair of Poochyena sisters showing off for the camera. Well... you guess they have cameras here... somewhere. You can definitely see why fat butts might be on her mind.
"I said you had fat butt and everyone in town knows when you're coming because it keeps clapping as you bounce down the street you bimbo bunny!"
"You take that back you scrawny little punk! If I didn't have more important things to do right now I'd-"
"You'd what? Distract me with that boob window on that top of yours while you bounce around some more? What are you trying to rescue Pokémon from, blue balls?"
"Alright, that's it!"
Saving you from having to hold Cotton back from clambering over the desk - or stepping back and watching the show - a loud harrumph draws everyone's attention over towards the doctor of the house. Elegant, composed, and very disapproving right now, a Gardevoir steps out from one of the rooms in the back and towards the four of you. "This place is supposed to be one of calming and healing energy." she says, setting her hands on her hips. "Arguments in the lobby are anything but that."
Well damn, now you had another hot milf on your hands. This one dressed in a doctor's coat and... very little else. It was like she stepped straight out of a porno, with that coat slipped on over little more than a swimsuit... or was it underwear. Rich of Revelé to go on about Cotton's outfit when her own mother dressed like this. Though unless she was expecting a significant, localised growth spurt in her next evolution it looks like Revelé missed out on whatever genetics gave her mother such large breasts and wide hips. Maybe that's one of the reasons she's taking it out on Cotton so much.
"Revelé, what do you say to Cotton."
The bratty Kirlia grumbles, but a stern glare from her mother gets her to cough up a louder response. "Sorry Cotton."
"That's a good boy, now why don't you-" the rest of the Gardevoir's words refuse to register in your head as it locks onto that one word. Boy. Revelé is a... what? You have to do a double take, just from how gosh darn girly he looks. He catches you looking his way too while Cotton and Gardevoir start talking and he shoots you a quick glare.
"What are you staring at?" he says with a huff. Damn, that does not sound like a guy's voice, but you guess you can hear it know that you know its the case.
