Might not be anything, but it could be linked to the arsenal. Its on the east end of the building. We can head there or I could check the computer in that other room for you. That room is safe now, right?"

Mayer nods. "Yep, two dead ghouls and a pretty defensible position." She nods for Cotton to follow and turns to you. "So what'll it be, boss? Guard Cotton while she gets into the computer in there or are we pushing on ahead?"

Victoria smirks at Rosie, seeing the young scribes face, she knew the woman was admiring both of their bodies. Mayer and Cotton both exchange a wary glance but follow you into the staff room once more. Cotton gets ahead of you to get at the working computer at the end of the room while Mayer keeps watch towards the door. "If there are more ghouls here, they probably heard the laser fire. Though you can never really tell what'll set those things off. Some ferals just lie on the ground for years if no one goes near them. Others run around on a rampage at the slightest provocation. I don't hear anything coming towards us, but that doesn't mean there aren't any on their way."

With a click, you see a light flicker on on the safe. It swings open slowly, stopping when the door just barely opened up by an inch. You were able to pull it open the rest of the way to reveal what was inside.

There wasn't anything too fancy within the safe. Piles of old world money that might be plenty valuable to anyone from back when this safe was first sealed, but all but worthless in the Lone Star Wasteland. Some magazines, 'Vaultbunny', seemed to be some kind of Vault-Tech sponsored pinup content, though perhaps the contents would offer more explicit material than just pin up. You're not sure what use you could get out of them, put perhaps the poses and scenarios within could provide some suggestions for ways to seduce or sexually impress people in the future - or at the very least just make for an entertaining read when bored. And a 9mm pistol with a box of ammunition. More useful in this day and age than the money, but ultimately far less impressive than your laser weaponry. It might be worth taking it with you in case you needed a spare. You did have an unfortunate habit of finding your weapon knocked or fucked out of your grip.

If Victoria was listening to what Mayer was saying she didnt make it at all obvious. Just nodding along as she led her two subordinates over to the safe and leaning on one of the cubicle walls. "Phew, Rosie that noggin of yours is really great!" She says leaning to watch as the young woman works, excitedly waiting for the safe to click open. "Make sure you scour the little terminal clean!" Though a little surprised by your comments about the magasines, Mayer takes it in stride, turning to Cotton with a shrug of her shoulders. "Hey, at least she knows what she likes, right?"

Cotton doesn't really respond, more focused on reading out the information in front of her before turning to you with a nod. "Sure, I... guess I can lead the way. Shouldn't be too hard to find, this place seems like it has a pretty straightforward layout." She turns to lead the way with Mayer taking up the rear, the knight cautiously surveying your surroundings as you left the staff room to make sure no more horny ghouls were about to pounce on the lot of you.

"We should stick to the east side of the building, which unfortunately is right at the back and... ah... crap... well this is a problem." she mumbles. Having reached the end of the hallway, your suit lights now illuminate a pile of rubble that blocks the path.

Cotton is quick to direct you three to follow her to the left however. "If I read that map of the layout properly, if we cut through the locker rooms here we should be able to get to a second hallway that leads to where we need to go."

[Stealth Roll: 2] You, however, haven't been quite nearly as quiet as Cotton and Mayer would have liked you to have been, it would seem...

"Well why cant we talk about it now?!" Victoria shouts, her brain not necessarily piecing together her prior experience or internalizing the words offered to her by Mayer earlier about how ghouls were attracted to noise. Instead being quite needlessly distracted by her wonderful idea about renaming the brotherhood. It was after all a genius idea, how could anyone disagree.

"Right Mayer? Dont you think so, its like SO clever no one could ever disagree, besides, the guys in the brotherhood are so damn stuffy like 'codex this, code that' Why cant we just have more fun like we're doing right now! Everyone has been so nice to us you know?" She says her voice raising an octave over the pace of her sentence, she just couldnt get it out of her head how much this wasnt the time to air out her hidden grievences with the brotherhood. Though these feelings were quite natural, she was the odd one out as a diplomat and recent experience has just made her so much more care free.

As the pair's increasingly stern hushes continue to fall on deaf ears, kicking the door down proves to be the final straw. Mayer clasps a hand over your mouth, pulling against her body. "Ma'am, I gotta say, you picked the worst possible time to let out your inner airhead. I can't believe you're making me the responsible one right now, but I really need you to shut up, okay?"

You're only given a few moments to respond to Mayer before Cotton lets out a startled scream that catches your attention. A ghoul lunges out from the dark of the doorway you had just kicked open and pounces on top of the scribe, forcing her to the ground. Mayer pulls back from you, readying her weapon, only for the door now behind you to swing open as a second ghoul's arms reach through and claw at you. That sorta petulance was done away quickly though when a blood curdling scream can be sound from within the darkness of the hallways and a ghoul comes screaming out from the pitch black. Victoria only narrowly misses being tackled by the thing, but it zips over to Cotton and forces the young woman to the ground with ease. The tearing of cloth is soon heard as a second ghoul appears from another door and Victoria is left to feel the cool air against her voluptuous breasts. "Rude!" The laser blast vaporizes the ghoul and gives Cotton her own coating of ash, with that one dealt with Victoria turns her pistol to the ghoul harassing Mayer and pulls the trigger.

Though in her hubris she should have realized how bad of an idea this was, an ancient pistol and a woman with no training in ballistic weapons as well as using it in her off hand she was thankful the thing on missed and she didnt accidently hit Mayer. The recoil catches her off guard as the gun goes flying out of her hand and skittering across the floor and she learns a rather painful lesson as her hand throbs with a dull pain. "Fuck..." She says gritting her teeth through the bit of pain.

The sound of the pistol firing off and the screams only attract more attention as a closed door on the opposite side of the hallway now starts to rattle from the pressure of a ghoul trying to bash it open. The remaining ghoul continues its lunge towards Mayer. [Ghoul: Nat 20] With a rush of speed, it swiped her weapon from her grip, smacking it to the ground and sending her ass tumbling down soon after. In the dark hallway its hard to see what's going on with your own suit light now dangling to the side from the previous ghoul's attack and Mayer's now being cast aside by the ghoul on top of her, but its not hard to figure out what's happening from Mayer's words.

"Get off of me you scab faced, sun roasted... agh! What! Get that away from my fa-mmph!" [Mayer Endurance: 14] With a coughing splutter, Mayer manages to pull her mouth off of the ghoul's cock and continues to struggle with it as it tries to force itself back onto her. With the telltale sizzle of eletrified oxygen Victoria manages to hand a clean hit on the ghoul, reducing it to ashes. "You'd better thank me!" Victoria shouts with no trace of irony despite the fact she was the one who caused this mess in the first place. Instead she turns her attention back to the two oncoming ghouls.

Both remaining ghouls turn to you, staggering away from the scribe and lurching in stuttering steps side by side towards you, their arms dragging low, but slowly rising as they approach, eager to grab at your exposed flesh.

Unfortunately Mayer's shot fires wide. She curses under her breath and smacks the side of her laser rifle, her sights having been thrown off when the weapon was smacked against the hard ground. The sound of a second energy blast crackles in the air and one of the ghouls has a hole burned right through it before tumbling to the ground, Cotton having fired her pistol up at it from the ground behind them.

With the ghoul swiftly vaporised, she continues to lead you through the locker room as Mayer follows behind, occasionally firing off shots at ghouls coming up from behind the group.

"Ma'am, I know you're heads a bit funny right now, but you're usually good at the whole orders thing, so if you've got any now I'd love to hear them." Mayer calls towards you. "Should we try and hide until these things forget we're here or just press on to find the arsenal?"

Victoria more or less needs to be dragged along by Cotton to proceed witht he mission, following behind the cute scribe, so closely she practically felt Cotton up when she jumped back. The three then proceed in what might seem like a orderly file as Mayer brings up the rear and fires out into the darkness to keep the ghouls at bay. "Just through here... this is it." she says, indicating to a door up ahead. "Can we shift some of these lockers in the way. If we can make a barricade at the entrance then we can get set up in the showers more easily."

"Wow, we need to be sure we're not blocking ourselves in with something already in there." Mayer says, stepping forward to swing open the door. She casts her light in, scanning around. The entrance led to a small hallway that immediately curved around, giving the shower room added privacy. It would make for a good bottleneck, but made checking the room out a little more risky. "I'll go make sure its safe, you two start getting that barricade ready.

Together you and Cotton are able to topple over a good deal of the lockers and move them into position. Though its a lot for the two of you to handle, together you manage to get the job done with more ease than you would expect given Cotton's small build. She wipes her brow with the job done, before turning to check on Mayer's progress... though she grows visibly concerned to see Mayer was yet to return from the showers.
