Sara Spencer: 45. Single mother raising her two kids on her own. Works as a school teacher at Sammy's school, which makes morning commutes much easier on her. Signed her family up for the schools long distance inclusivity initiative, helping house an exchange student and show that predators and prey are outdated terms that no longer define social roles.Spoiler (click to show/hide):
Sally Spencer: 20. Sammy's older sister. Left to go study at university, but calls regularly and still comes around to visit on the weekends. Though she stays on campus, the university she goes to is nearby so she's never too far away.Spoiler (click to show/hide):
Sammy Spencer: 18. A kind but shy boy, prefers to spend his time with a good book or in the company of a few close friends.Spoiler (click to show/hide):
Lyla Lilly: 18. Sammy's best friend since they were both old enough to talk. She's practically a fourth member of the Spencer household she's around so often. She's more athletic than Sammy and is often the one that has to stand up to his bullies for him.Spoiler (click to show/hide):
Sara dusted off the last corner of Sally's old room, placing her hands on her hips as she gave it a quick look over. This should work, she thought to herself, all nice and tidy, much neater than she left it. She smiles as she glances over to a picture of her daughter on the bedside drawers. She looked so young. To think she was now an adult, off on her own adventures. Sara smiled wistfully as she picked up the picture frame. Best to keep this in her own room for now so the guest could make herself comfortable. Hopefully Sally would be able to move the rest of her stuff out over the next few weeks, but if not they could always start shuffling things into the attic to give their new guest space. It would be nice to have someone new around to keep the place feeling lively with Sally moving out.
Putting her cleaning things away, she set the picture of her daughter down in her room before checking the time. It was that late already? "Oh dear, oh deary me." she murmured, hastily grabbing some neater clothes out of her wardrobe and throwing them on. She'd have to skip on the bra, the car from the airport should be arriving any minute now. In her haste, she left her violet shirt unbuttoned a few buttons more than she normally would, but she looked near and professional enough to make a good first impression. She hurried down the stairs and called out to her son who she heard playing games in his room.
"Sammy, come off the computer! Our new guest is on the way over!"
She had to stop on the stairs and call out a couple more times so her voice could cut through his headset. Once he heard her, he quickly called back. "On my way." Tabbing out of his game, he opened up his facetime with Lyla. "That new girl is supposed to be arriving now. I've got to go!" he says, about to take off his headset.
"The wolf girl? Oh awesome! That should be pretty neat. I'm so jealous." she said "You've got to tell me what she's like! No, wait, don't spoil the surprise, I want to meet her myself. Ahh I can't make up my mind!"
Sammy smiled a bit sheepishly. "I'm a bit nervous, to be honest. A new person living in my house. Its a bit scary."
"It'll be fine, they wouldn't send her over if they thought she could be dangerous." Lyla said, waving her hand. "Besides, if she does annoy you, just set me on her. I'll set her straight."
Sammy's smile widened. "Thanks Lyla. But I've really got to head now. Talk to you in a bit."
As he hurried down the stairs, he arrived by his mothers side just in time for the doorbell to ring.

Species: Canid
Age: 19
Bio: A student from the Wolf Territories given a shining opportunity to engage with a student exchange and integration program Wendy was sent to live with a family of 3, though when she arrives one of the family members were already on her way out to college. For Wendy herself she was never much of a student, the law of the land where she was from was might makes right and she spent more time beefing up and picking fights where ever she could. She had a bit of firebrand streak going though and tamed a few of her classmates as a result. She'd heard a lot about prey growing up though, and the fact she was going to be living with a few only made her smile, she couldnt wait to meet her new "family" attending school to make up for a year. Things were definitely going to be looking up for her as she finally gets to sink her teeth into her surroundings.Spoiler (click to show/hide):
Even on her brief walk from the airport to the car, Wendy had noticed all eyes were on her and the other arrivals from the Wolf Territories and a few other "predator nations". But more than that she noticed the smell. There was fear, definitely, and lots of it. More than she was used to in one place. And curiosity. And something else... a scent on everyone here. Vulnerability. It made her hunger in ways she hadn't felt before.
Even the chauffer that was sent to pick her up gave her a sense of inferiority. The people here smelled like they were born to be tamed. The drive to the home she was to stay at was a quiet one. Her driver didn't seem to interested in talking too much. Afraid and nervous, going by the smell. But she was escorted to a rather pleasant looking street, with white picket fences and well tended gardens. Pulling up outside the Spencer household, it seemed large enough for five or six people to live comfortably enough. There were only supposed to be three people living here? She was handed her belongings as well as a uniform she was supposed to wear for school before being brought to the front door. And soon enough it opened, showing her the faces of her new housemates.
"Hi," Sara said cheerily, holding out a hand. "You must be Wendy. So nice to meet you! Please, come on in. Sammy can take your things for you. Would like a cookie? They were freshly baked just this morning for you especially." The older bunny woman picked up a tray from a nearby counter and offered a selection of cookies to Wendy.
