Plan is still to lose her virginity in a dungeon, correct? I mean, she can get mouth ravaged by a goblin or something if you're getting bored of the lack of sex.

As you finish up for the night, you find that your cat is already up and seeming to keep watch for you, resting at the top of a tree near your hill and watching everything around you.

Climbing through the leaves covering my 'bed' I curl up for the night... wondering how much longer I'll be living like this.

Your dreams are fitful, many of them involving falling sideways away from the ground forever, but you wake to a hiss from just behind your back. You awaken quietly, listening as a scuffling sound is audible from the other side of your tiny wall. Something is over there, but doesn't seem to be interested in climbing over just yet.

I stifle a gasp, using my hands to muffle any sound I make. Oh shit, oh shit, oh shit! Was I too late?!

Glancing up, you spot a few sharpened sticks wandering around over the edges of the wall you've built. You've still got room to scuttle away if you would try that, or you could try to ambush whatever is on the other side, something that likely uses something similar to spears.

I pause... slightly confused by the spears... still I rather not fight at my base if not necessary... but they also don't seem to be leaving. I wait for a little bit to see if they wander off, if not I will have to deal with them.

Despite having enough brains to build or use spears, whatever is holding them doesn't seem to be smart enough to climb over or circle around the wall you've built. After a few moments, you realize they're starting to move away. If you wanted to be aggressive, you could attack whatever it is from the rear, or you could let them escape while knowing where your base is.

I creep to the wall, peeking over to see what has found my base, and where they are going... I may need to deal with them, but I rather not fight at my base... hoping they won't connect this place with my potential future attacks elsewhere.

Little green chimp looking monsters are snuffling around your base, their ugly faces enough to convince you of their ill intentions. (13) Watching them carefully, you watch them head back the way they came, and you're able to sneak away from the base. You could attack them on their way back to where ever they are going, just to keep any knowledge of your presence down.

Every instinct I have, including gaming instinct tells me they are not going to be nice creatures... but that doesn't mean I should antagonize them needlessly... First I need information, so I will follow them, hopefully locating their base, and potentially even their intentions.

The strange creatures, vaguely reminiscent of goblins, snuffle their way back to what appears to be a camp, almost an hour distant on a meandering path throughout the forest. Finally, they approach something vaguely similar to what you've been building, just built on a much shorter wider scale. Considering the differences in your forts, it seems likely they found you and concluded you were big enough not to piss off for now. As you watch, you hear something startling, a hooting noise. Are there owls?

Well good... if we are going to be at a standoff, that's good enough for now... Though that hooting is... not exactly encouraging since with all the crazy shit going on I can't be sure it's not a monster of some sort. With the 'goblin' threat measured, I decide to quickly retreat back, hopefully avoiding any more encounter... and at least if I do, then I don't attract the additional attention of the goblin things.

You begin heading back toward you camp, the soft hooting seeming to follow you, even though you're not exactly prey for an owl. Well... assuming it's not a giant owl. That would suck. Still, you're trying to see in the dark when you catch a bush in front of you rustling, but before you can take off, a couple of goblins hop out of them, more seeming to pile up behind you.

Since goblins are the classic 'fodder' monster, I'll assume any positive roll will kill at least one, high positives multiple. Assume, five goblins?

I am somewhat surprised that the goblins jump out, but I raise my arm, closing my eye as I fire off a lightning bolt at them, hoping the bright flash will blind them, if not outright kill them.

Sounds good... possibly a morale roll thing? Like they could get reinforcements but if multiple get knocked out in a turn, some might run? If you want this to be a small encounter though you don't need to do that. Just seems like five will probably not last long if I can knock out several.
Also going to be honest... when you mentioned hooting the first time my brain went to the owlbear.

The goblins are supposed to be trying to be stealthy. Owls don't hoot when they're hunting (to my knowledge, at least).

Closing your eyes doesn't stop the flash of lightning from being visible, the intense light and your dilated eyes ensure that you can see both the bolt and the poor unlucky fucker that gets fried even as the others howl in eye searing pain. Still, it takes you a moment to let your eyes readjust to the dark.

Okay, but A) Owlbears might not have the same behavior and B) it might not have spotted her yet, and it was just an indication they were in the area.

Ah fuck! Okay. They are surprised and don't seem to confident. I charge at them, trying to capitalize on the confusion, hoping my eyes recover before I reach them.

Your eyes do seem to work a bit better, or you have better memory of how the area was shaped as you soon plow into a couple of screaming goblins, who flail uselessly at you as you whip your metallic arm about in a similar, but far more deadly result, two of them tossed end over end with loud crunches and a decrease in the volume of yelping.

Okay, now to just finish these last ones off! Feeling confident I extend my blade and move to finish them off.

Extending your blade, you find that the goblins are still struggling to keep their makeshift spears between you and them, your new physical improvements more than enough to take you past their guard and end their short little lives. As it is, you've managed to kill at least five, but there could be more in the area if you searched. Or, as it's rather dark and you made a racket, you could run for cover. Or you could think of something else.

This was a recon mission, so I rather not start any more trouble. I'll just grab any weapons, tool, or anything of interest real quick and scurry back home.
