Time: Night Phase 2

Magz, Harper, Meredith
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

As Meredith ignored Magz to talk to Emma, Harper arrived to her the rest of their conversation. Once Meredith was finished, the paladin gave the priestess a stern look. “I’m going to have Morgaine or one of her students start working on tracking down Evaline’s location. I doubt they’ll stay in Tan Village for longer then they have to.” Emma said “ I understand your concern, but can’t risk confronting the Black Ocean. Especially in the state we’re in”. As she spoke, the three women could practically hear the frustration in Emma’s voice. Her left hand gripping on her damaged sword arm tightly.

“Everything is already in place for Emilia’s extraction. It’s a safer task and with the additional support we can mount a proper rescue.” Emma then paused. “But I know how much Evaline means to you, to all the priestesses. I’ll let you accompany the reconnaissance team to find Evaline. But only attempt a rescue if you see an opening.” Just as they finished their conversation, Morgaine entered the conversation. “If you’re looking for tracking, you’ll want to take Suima with you” the master adventure said as she directed Meredith to a girl in the corner looking after a crossbow. “If anyone can find her it’s Suima.” Morgaine said with a somewhat awkward look to Meredith. “And I’m sorry for being so blunt before. I’m sure we’ll be able to rescue Evaline.”

Once Morgaine was finished apologizing, Meredith’s attention was turned not to Suima, but the soldier that had accompanied her here. He had gotten swept up in the aftermath of the monastery invasion and had begun to help with the wounded. There was still the situation he mentioned at Fort Claymoor. But on the off chance that he might be willing to help with Evaline’s rescue, it was worth asking.

With their conversation finished, Emma turned her attention to Magz. “I had hoped Meredith could have provided her experience to your mission. But you’ll have to make due with what we have. As I said before, there are those on the inside that have been planning this extraction for some time. They just needed us to act as escorts.” She said handing Magz the scroll with the church’s crest. Once you’re ready, travel to Crystalcairn to meet with Bishop Teresa. She will explain the mission in further detail.”

With Meredith now on her own mission, Magz had to look to someone else to fill her spot. Along with the other girls, Justine was an option too. She was the priestess who had been strangled by Guo before she arrived. While she seemed easily rattled, Magz couldn’t deny her talent for healing. Plus she was about as angry about the attack as anyone.

There was one other person Magz could turn to … Annabelle. After training sessions and mock battles, the paladins would often get treated for injuries by the priestesses. One in particular had taken a shine to Magz. Annabelle was about a year older than Magz and would always insist on treating her. She would examine the paladin’s body thoroughly for the smallest scratch. Even when Magz wasn’t in the infirmary, Annabelle would continue to keep an eye on her from a distance. Right now, she was tending to one of the other paladins. But if Magz asked, the priestess would surely come running.

That finally left Harper. The scholar couldn’t tell if Emma was trying to actively ignore her or she just so happened to address her last. But with Emma’s full attention on her, Harper felt as though a large weight was pressing down on her. The paladin was naturally intimidating, and it appeared as though her patience was running thin. “ I don’t have time to humor you, go bother….” Before she could finish, Emma spied Heidi sitting up despite being injured. Even from a distance, the experienced scholar gave Emma a stern look and nodded towards Harper. Wincing, Emma returned her attention to Harper. “Are you looking to assist us Pale-s...Harper? I’m sure Meredith or Magdalene could use the assistance.” Directing the scholar’s attention to Meredith and Magz

Priscilla
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

As Priscilla points her blade towards the two mercenaries, Miller appears to stand perfectly still. Then she hears the butt of his spear tap the ground. With a swift kick from Miller it appears to swing around his body before he grips it. He taps away Priscilla's weapon just long for him to put some distance between the two of them. "You were never gonna make things easy were you?" he said as he took a low stance. By that time everyone else had drawn their weapons and a battle was about to begin.

Priscilla stuck an intimidating pose hoping the cause the two mercenaries to back down. While one did, Miller merely grinned. Taking a low stance, he rushed forward like an arrow out of a ballista. His target, the elderly knight Ironblood. The tip of Miller’s spear made contact with Ironblood’s breast plate as it knocked the wind out of the old man. Frightened by Priscilla’s presence, the other mercenary set his sights on the injured Ironblood as he left a deep cut along his upper thigh.

“Is that all you got old ma…” Miller gloated. But just as he was about to finish, the squire bashed the broad end of his sword into Miller’s side. “The Hell!” He yelled stunned for a bit. Trying to capitalize, Ironblood moved in to swipe at the spear-wielding mercenary, but he nearly evaded. But neither of them could evade Priscilla as she attempted to cleave them with her own blade. Miller and the mercenary winched as the blade cut through their armor, leaving a noticeable gash. Though she couldn’t enjoy her successful attack as she heard Ironblood let out a gasp. Turning, the squire and Priscilla watch as the ruthless mercenary pulls his dagger from the commander’s back.

“NOOO!” The squire yells as his teacher and captain falls to the ground. Raising his mace he charges at the vagabond. But Priscilla has little time to pay attention to them as Miller charges right at her. The tip of the spear aimed right at her heart. Quickly, she blocks the attack only for it to redirect itself to Priscilla’s Leg. Luckily she manages to step back and avoid the attack. With a swig of the crude potion, which tastes as bad as it sounds, Priscilla prepares for another cleave. While the mercenary evades the large swing, Miller doesn’t as it just catches his outer thigh.

Hobbled, Miller’s breathing becomes erratic as he stares down. Soon a strange glow surrounds the sellsword as he rises from the ground. “I rather not use this, But Gustuv would have my head if I let his newest piece of arm candy get away” Miller said with a much more serious tone. As the Squire dispatched the other mercenary, he was assaulted but Miller, as he used the same attack he used against Priscilla. “Evade it!” Priscilla yells upon seeing the attack again. Effortlessly, the squire sidesteps the attack and attempts to counter only for his attack to go wide.

With his new found strength, Miller lands a pair of devastating blow on Priscilla and the Squire. He manages to pierce Priscilla’s side while tripping up the squire with the length of his lance. But doing so leaves and opening with Priscilla manages to capitalize on. Bringing her sword down, she leaves a large gash on Miller’s back and knocks the man out cold.

Before she can land the finishing blow, she can hear a commotion outside the interrogation room. “We have the get going” The squire said as he picked up the wounded Ironblood. Once they were outside, They could see that the brawl was still going on strong. It seemed like almost everyone was involved in the fight. Which meant that the secret door out of the fort was unguarded. With haste, the three of you escaped the fort and made your way to the monastery. The old general was still out cold from the last battle, and it wouldn’t be long until Gustuv picked up on their disappearance. For now, all they could do is put as much distance between the fort and them as possible.

Iona
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

The music room is as audacious as one would expect from a noble’s summer home. Various instruments were arranged along the far wall along with stands for sheet music. A white grand piano with gold trimmings lay in the corner illuminated by light from one of the many windows around the quite sizable space.

There were even a set of cushioned chairs and sofa set up facing the various instruments. As Kensington took a seat, Charlotte began to browse the array of musical instruments. Soon she settles upon flute with an engraving on the side. “That one was crafted by a famous craftsman from across the sea, Helrich Highbrine.” Kensington said with a small amount of pride “My older brother collected rare items like this. He keeps his more treasured collectables back home. But he left a few of them here in the summer home.”

“It looks wonderful” Charlotte said with a rosy smile. It was a far cry from her usual sour expression. “Would you mind if I played something for you?” She asked in a demure manner. Kensington merely nodded vehemently as he took a seat in one of the padded chairs. After taking a moment to get a feel for the instrument, Charlotte began her performance. What followed was a beautiful melody that unlike anything Iona had heard before. At the very least, her admission that she wanted to be a musician were genuine. Suddenly, the pitch changed and Iona and Kensington felt a strange heat come over themselves

Charisma Check
Charlotte: 3 + 15 = 18
Iona: 3 + 12 = 15
Kensington: 0 + 14 = 14

As Charlotte continued to play, Iona could feel her loins moisten. Her eyes were glued to Charlotte’s body as she continued to play. But Iona wasn’t the only one. The young noble was transfixed on the musician, as well as his … sizable erection straining against his pants.

Once she was finished, she gave the two of you a ‘surprised’ look. “Oh my, my song may have been a bit too much for you to handle.” She said putting down the flute, then lowering the top of her dress to reveal her perky breasts. “Do you want me to take care of you?”

Priscilla stands victorious over Miller, breathing heavily from the exertion of a difficult fight, adrenaline pumping through her veins and reducing the pain of her wounded side to little more than a dull throbbing for the time being. She could scarcely believe it, but she had won! And it was not with the help of the General really, but by her own power! Now all that's left is to end this dog's life... Just as Priscilla was about to pierce Miller's heart with her blade, the squire's voice snaps her back to reality. Right... There was no time for this, they needed to get moving. Priscilla takes the wounded general and slings him over her shoulder, he was heavy but all that training in full armor had prepared her for things like this. Exiting the interrogation room and seeing the chaos that had spread all throughout the fort, Priscilla couldn't help but smile. Perhaps if they had taken putting down the riot a bit more seriously, things wouldn't have gotten so out of hand. Though she prayed that this did not increase the blood that would be shed here, it did make for the perfect distraction that allowed for the three of them to slip out of the fort unnoticed.

Once outside, Priscilla looks to the squire. "Do you have anything we can use for the General's wounds? Getting him on his feet will let us move much more quickly." She asks before taking a look around. "Is there a stable out here perhaps? If we could steal a horse or two, that would be ideal as well." One of those two things would make their trek back to the monastery much easier and faster, but if not... Well, they would have to just get moving and hope for the best. Gustuv would learn of what she had done regardless of whether Miller woke up to tell him, she could only hope that the riot would keep the mercenaries busy long enough for them to flee.

"Well, well, the upper crust really do have it all." Iona thinks, somewhat bitterly, as she looks around the music room. She's only a little because, well... this would have been a part of the future her parents forced her into. Looking over a piano, she wonders how often she would have been made to play it if she had been arranged to many a lord or someone like Kensington. She's rusty as hell now with almost a decade of no practice, but the thought is still there. Her bitterness increases a touch when Kensington begins bragging about how rare the flute Charlotte has in her hands is and how his brother enjoys collecting things of this nature for no damn reason besides throwing around money. She's not sure if its the austere nature of the Monastery she technically spent most of her life in or if it's her own tastes, but the thought of it just leaves a bad taste in her mouth. It would be really bad if she discovered a hatred for the upper class right now, so she just stops thinking about it and decides to focus on Charlotte.

And she goes right back to annoyed. She knew Charlotte could make magic with music, but she really didn't think the woman would use it on her right after she warned the former prostitute on the consequences of crossing her. Well, Charlotte hasn't crossed her yet. All she's done so far is make them horny. It could just be a ploy to get in their pants. Seems a bit excessive since she really would just have to ask if that was the case, but it could be. But she also remembers how she was introduced to Charlotte, which makes trusting her a little hard just yet. Sure they built rapport a little earlier, but she knew Magz for years and she still hurt and betrayed the paladin. But on the other hand, Charlotte is really fuckin' hot and she would love to accept the offer on display. "What do ya think, girl?" she whispers to Ruby since the she-wolf doesn't look like she's been affected. If Ruby doesn't see anything wrong, then she'll go with it. If the wolf does... well, she doesn't want to go through with her warning, but she will if necessary. After Kensington gets his rocks off, of course. It's really the least she can do for her host not to involve him with disciplinary actions unless she's including him in it in a more pleasurable way. So either way, she will let Kenny do his thing first and then she will decide. To reinforce this, she even motions to the boy as if to say "After you".

She let out a sigh of relief that she hadn't known she was holding in. They were forming a team for Evaline... her teacher and surrogate mother wouldn't just be left to rot after all. She lowered her head in slight shame at the indignation she felt at the headmistresses. How could she have been so disloyal to have thought of them in such a way? Perhaps... she was getting too caught up in her emotions to think clearly. "... I thank you for your words, Headmistress Morgaine, and I apologize too. I've just been... very worried." But she needed to have faith in the headmistresses. St. Lily had been her home for many years. Though they weren't perfect leaders, each and every one of the Headmistresses had their sisters in their best interest.

It was for that reason that pushed Meredith to decline the offer. "I am grateful for this opportunity, Headmistress Emma, but if you believe it best for me to travel with Sister Magdalene then I'll respectfully follow those orders." Were she to be honest, most of her push to find Evaline was out of a sense of guilt that she couldn't help the older woman when she needed it rather than any real logical thought. She turned to Magdalene. "That is, if you'd allow me, Magz." After all, she earlier disrespected the girl by blowing her off entirely.

When Emma explains to Magz that she had hoped that Meredith would be helping her, she nods, a look of concentration on her face as she considers her other options. She had already decided that she'd be taking Belladonna and Lisabella, as well as Harper. Meredith not only ignoring her, but choosing to go on a different mission entirely was a problem, yes, but it's not as though she was such a tremendous asset that she couldn't be replaced with one or more people. Annabelle, for example, she knew was fond of her, and was a very capable healer, and if Annabelle was, for whatever reason, unwilling to participate in the mission, she knew Justine would love to join her.

Before she could call out to the others, Meredith decided to stop being extremely rude, and actually acknowledge her, right after declining the mission she had practically asked for. She would have declined taking Meredith with her, but having a sixth person with her would increase her chances, and she could see that her indecisiveness didn't affect her combat capabilities. "Yes, I'd be glad to have you traveling with me. Though, while you were speaking with Headmistress Emma, I have already chosen our team." she replied, not unkindly, as she was masking her minor annoyance with being ignored, but meaning to let her know that she no longer had any say in the matter. She turned away from Meredith and raised the scroll in the air "Belladonna, Harper, Lisabella, Annabelle, we've got a job!" she called. Once they gathered around her, she'd pass the scroll around to them "Cardinal Abeline sent us a request for us to travel to Crystalcairn and escord Emilia van Sandsburg to Whitemore. When we succeed in doing so, then the main Church will be willing to send us support here." she explains, putting emphasis on the word "when". If there are no objections, she'll tell them to meet back at this spot when they're prepared to depart.

Time: Night Phase 3

Priscilla
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

The squire shook his head as he revealed his had little more than the weapon on his back. Worst still, the stables were located within the fort walls along with all the horses. Just when it looked like their look had run out, the two spotted a pair of horses tied to a nearby tree. While in normal circumstances one would ask who the horses belonged to, this was neither the time or the place. Untying the stallions, the three of you made a speedy escape.

__________

When you arrive at the monastery’s west gate, you are greeted by a string of bodies lying on the ground. Most of them look to be wearing clothing similar in origin to Head Mistress Lei. Though they were all a dark red with a snake pattern motif. In the distance, you can see two of your paladin sisters laying a blanket over a slain archer. You recognized her as one of the adventurers that Morgaine trained.

“Priscilla, is that you?” One of the paladin trainees asked with a puzzled look. “Where have you been! We were worried when Lady Emma returned without you.

Iona
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Ruby didn’t seem to object to what Charlotte was doing. In fact the red dire wolf was starting to huff uncontrollably. Before you could do anything she was out the door as if an animal possessed. Charlotte let out a small giggle. “I didn’t expect that to happen, sorry for getting you wrapped up in my song Iona. I’ll explain when we get out of here. But first…”

As Charlotte spoke she approached the horny nobleman with a delightful saunter. Kensington for his part had been nodding the entire time for the musician to service him. Fishing his erection from his trousers, it was about what you would expect. Average length but rather girthy. Kneeling down, she gave the noble’s tip a gentle kiss. “OH how big. I didn't think you were packing something this big in you pants.” Charlotte said as she went down on Kensington. Her mouth that had skillfully been playing the flute earlier was wrapped around the young man’s meat stick. Loud slurping noises filled music room in it’s own symphony.

Popping his member out of her mouth, Charlotte used her arms to lift her chest and wrap her breasts around Kensington’s stiff penis. “How do you like them sir…” Charlotte siad in a rather deferential manner. Kensington merely moaned as he mouthed a few words of approval. It was at this time that Iona noticed the lustful look on Charlotte’s face. Could it be that the woman ...was just horny and wanted a good fuck.

Magz, Meredith
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Once Magz was finished laying out their mission. Each girl took their time responding. Harper meekly nodded still a little uncomfortable being so close to Emma and so many other people. Belladonna gave her fellow paladin trainee a pleasant smile. “Wonderful. It’s been so long since I’ve been to the capital. I wonder if my family’s okay with all the upheaval.” Lisabella clenched the hilt of her sword tightly. “I’m ready Magz. We’ll make sure Emilia reaches safety. Hopefully with the church’s help, we can bring some form of peace back to the Monastery.” Of all of the, Annabelle was the most excited to be going on this mission. She cupped the paladins’ hands into her own and looked Magz right in the eyes. “I swear I’ll do everything in my power to ensure this mission is a success. I’ll follow your orders to the letter” The Priestess said with a fair amount of enthusiasm.

It was agreed that you would leave at the break of dawn when it was safest. But the question was what would you do until then. Belladonna had elected to get some much needed Rest after a long night of fighting. Harper on the other hand returned to Heidi’s side and continued to talk to the wounded scholar. Lastly, Lisabella and Annabelle had gone to the infirmary to aid with the wounded. Resting, Speaking with one of the Head masters or helping the wounded or injured all seemed like viable options. But maybe there was something else they could do?

It was with persistence and more than a little bit of luck that Priscilla was able to escape with the general and his squire in tow. She felt a little guilty taking horses that weren't hers, but the stakes were much greater than mere animals. Perhaps she could return them to their proper owners at some point, but that would have to come after the fort was retaken. Priscilla remains alert on their uneventful trip back to the Monastery, and thankfully nothing catches her attention until she spots the bodies littering the path. A battle had obviously taken place... the Monastery had come under attack in her absence? And yet all the corpses seemed to be enemies. Seeing that, Priscilla picked up the pace and proceeded with a cautious optimism.

She approached her fellow Paladin trainees just as they were laying one of the other girls to rest. Priscilla had always kept her distance from the other girls at the Monastery and so she regrettably did not know this archer's name, but she offered a brief prayer regardless. "My apologies, I didn't mean to worry you. I... simply had another mission I needed to attend to." She explains as she dismounts her horse, choosing her words carefully. She wasn't sure how to explain that she had played a role in the forts fall, but she wanted Emma to be the one to hear it first regardless. "What happened here? And where is the commander? I'll need to report to her as soon as possible."

Concern pierces the haze of lust Charlotte’s song put her under. She worries that Ruby might get herself in trouble while under the influence, though she doesn’t think there are that many methods of doing so. As far as she knows, there’s only Kenny and the help here so unless one of the help is into bestiality, Ruby should be frustrated, but safe. Well, it is the summer home of a rich fuck. There might be some exotic animal that puts a weird bun in the dire wolf’s oven and then they’ll have to deal with that. Well, she’ll just have to hope that the wolf’s obvious intelligence helps her avoid any worse case scenarios because she is not leaving this room to check. Either she’ll really look for Ruby or she’ll run into one of the help and jump their bones in her current state and miss Charlotte’s motivation for doing this. While the second option sounds appealing, she can more than easily get off while tormenting the musician if it comes down to it. If it doesn’t come down to it… well, she was celibate for over a flippin’ decade. A little bit longer won’t kill her unless there’s some disease that uses your libido to kill. “I’m holding you to that.” Iona says as Charlotte promises to explain things. That already sounds promising for not having to punish the former prostitute for taking advantage of the little bit of leeway she gave. Or at the very least, the other woman is good at giving herself an out if things don’t go the way she plans. Oh well, it’s not like Iona was planning on going anywhere. She’ll play it by the ear for now.

An eyebrow raises when she sees what Kenny is working with. It’s probably nothing spectacular, but given she hasn’t seen a dick (besides the ones that gang-raped Charlotte the other night) in over ten years, it makes her mouth water a little. That it’s surrounded by Charlotte makes it even better. It takes more self-control than she would like to admit to keep herself from knocking Charlotte out of the way and impaling herself on that cock. And working Charlotte into it somehow. Both the trouser snake and Charlotte feature pretty heavy into her fantasies right now. Still, the musician seemed to have a plan. She’ll let it play out… for now. Until her patience gives out, really. Hopefully by then either things will have become clear or she’ll be drawn into it or else she’ll just completely ruin whatever Charlotte is going for to just wreck Kenny’s world. Or have him wreck hers. She isn’t very choosy right now. Or very patient. Before she even truly acknowledges it, she can finds her hand has snaked down under her panties and she’s currently rubbing her pussy down. Her other hand has raised her shirt up and is playing with her breast. Huh. Well, she’ll just roll with that then.

Meredith merely nodded understandingly to Magz; she had been rather rude, so it wasn't any problem with her. Once that small thing was finished, she waited around a bit longer for Magz to talk to the others and set the time for when they'll reconvene, then she spun around to leave the area without a moment's hesitation. Those patients in the infirmary needed help, and what kind of priestess would she be if she didn't heed the call of those in need? Meredith made haste.

When Belladonna mentions her family, Magz replies "We may have time to check on them." in a reassuring tone. Magz had briefly considered Belladonna's statement, and concluded that if her family was in danger, they were morally obligated to protect them, if able. Magz agreed when Lisabella expressed her hopeful attitude towards the upcoming mission "Justice always triumphs, nothing will stop us." she replies, though she wasn't feeling quite that reassured, she knew that there was no room for them to doubt themselves. At the very least, she had less of a chance of the spider or Iona incidents reoccurring if she's in a group. When Annabelle clutches Magz' hands, she smiled at her "I know you'll be a valuable asset to the team." she replies, though she felt more reassured than that regarding Annabelle's response, at a time like this, Magz was feeling very down, and desperately needed the kind of support that Annabelle supplies her with... perhaps she could meet with her later, to seek some form of comfort. When the others had left, she hesitates briefly, then stops Annabelle "When your work here is finished, would you please meet with me privately?" she asks Annabelle, after which she adds "In my quarters." in a tone which didn't suggest anything but business, she hoped that they could talk for a short time, and she could amp herself up for the upcoming mission.

With everything seemingly taken care of, Magz decided to to take a quick sweep of the battle area to see if anything was missed. Perhaps there were other survivors, notes, or some kind of clue that could add more pieces to the puzzle that the Monastery would be dealing with. After that, Magz decided it was time possibly deal with something else that had been bothering her since her battle with the robed men. Magz quickly made her way to the library to research methods that could be used to raise the dead. She had failed to protect that girl with the bow... and that weighed heavily on her heart, despite the fact that she didn't even know her name. Paladins were there to protect, yet she had failed her... what if she failed her friends during their upcoming mission? If they died, she'd never be able to forgive herself, it would weigh even more heavily on her heart than the death of that girl. If she fails to find a way to successfully resurrect the dead, she would research protection magic, like what Harper had used to defeat the robed men.
