Pokémon: Disorganized Chaos OOC

Postby MiscChaos » Wed Jul 31, 2019 9:46 pm

Alright, let's try this again.

------------Plot------------

Welcome to the Uslane Region, a land where migrating Pokémon settle or use as a resting point between other regions. Because of this unique feature, the region is filled with Pokémon from all corners of the Pokémon world making it THE place to fill a Pokedex. With such a draw, Trainers from every Region can be found here. Some of them want a pure Pokémon experience. Some just wanna have fun, fuck the cost to anyone else. And some see all the foreign Trainers pouring into the region and see fun ways to profit off their pain.

Team Native is a group who believe that the Uslane Region is for Uslane natives and will do anything and everything to oust outsiders. Their crimes range from thief to stealing Pokémon to human trafficking. They’ve also become even more radical recently, spreading their terror from just outsiders to natives who don’t share their ideology.

Team Lost Love is a group who formed in opposition to Team Native, dedicated to the defense of non-natives from the other Team’s threat. If they were crime free, it’d be admirable, but the bulk of their numbers come from recruits forcibly brought into the organization and required to do whatever it takes to further their goals. Whether this is prostitution for funds, blackmail, or assassinations, they’ll do whatever it takes to make sure the Uslane Region is free for whomever wants to come to it. There’s word that they’re developing a new technology that will prove even more effective in their fight.

Then there’s also an Underground League who believe that the League in the light are too soft, too restrictive in their battle formula. They just can’t have fun like that. So they raise the stakes. Pokémon can be brutalized or even killed and the Trainers themselves aren’t safe even if they aren’t attacked. For losing has a whole new set of troubles to be concerned with. The more territory they conquer, the less they have to hide. While they usually don’t actively compete with Team Native or Lost Love, usually preferring to pit them against each other and reap the benefits, lately Team Native has begun trying to appeal to them.

------------Game Rules------------

Starter Pokémon:
To keep things from getting out of control, Players are only allowed one starter Pokémon, but they are allowed to choose others beside the standard Treecko, Torchic or Mudkip. So long as the Starter is a low-tier 1st evolution stage, it is allowed. Also, different characters may own the same starter, so if someone grabs a Pokemon you want, don't worry about it, you can still have one of your own as well. Also, you're not allowed to grab a Pokémon that evolves into a Pseudo-Legendary. This list includes
  • Dratini
  • Larvitar
  • Bagon
  • Beldum
  • Gible
  • Deino
  • Goomy
  • Jangmo-o
In addition, Genderless Pokémon and Pokémon that come from Fossils are not allowed

Pokemon Levels:
Basically will be handled just like the game. I have the formulas and everything behind it, so whenever anyone wins a battle, I'll plug things in as need be and we'll go from there. And yes, I do mean anyone. Losing to an NPC might just make them harder to handle down the line, in addition to whatever else they have planned for you.

Party Limitations:
Just like in the original series, a Trainer may only carry 6 Pokemon with them at any time. Any excess captures will immediately be beamed away to "Someone's PC"

Battles:

Pokémon vs Pokémon
I’m going to be using the same formula for Damage that the actual Pokémon games do.
Image

Image

Except slightly modified. I won’t be using Badge or STAB and am debating whether to use Weather.

Pokémon with the greater speed goes first and then turns trade off as per usual. Fights go until one Pokémon hits 0 HP or a trainer surrenders.

Accuracy is also different from the games. I take the Move’s Accuracy and apply it to the same accuracy rolls humans do.

EXAMPLE
  • Pokémon A uses Slam.
  • PA rolls an 18 for their 1d20 and has a speed of 10. Their total roll would be 28
  • Slam has an accuracy of 75%
  • 75% of 28 is 21, so the move’s accuracy is 21
  • Pokémon B rolls a 10 and their speed is 4. Their total roll would be 14.
  • Slam hits.

I never really understood WHY Pokémon could only ever remember 4 moves, so that rule doesn’t fly here. Pokémon can remember up to 8 moves and the moves it “forgets” to make room for others can be swapped out as you please outside of battle.

If a move is used that lowers a stat, it’s calculated as 2/2+number of stages. For example, using Leer once lowers Defense by 2/3. Using it again lowers it by 2/4 and so on and so forth.
Raising a stat works the opposite way, increasing a stat by 2+stages/2. E.g. using Defense Curl once increases Defense by 3/2, then 4/2, and so on. A stat can only be increased/decreased by 6 stages before it stops being effective.

Human vs Human
Humans have a much more simplified fighting system

Melee
First check is whether the attack hits the opponent or not
Attack= 1d20+ Dex+ Modifiers
Dodge= 1d20+ Speed+ Modifiers

If Attack > Dodge, then the attack hits
If the attack hits and the 1d20 roll for the attack was a 20, then it was a critical hit!
If Dodge > Attack, then the attack misses
If the attack misses and the 1d20 roll for the dodge was a 20, then the Dodger counter attacks!
If Attack = Dodge, then the attack is a Glancing Blow.
A 1d3 is rolled for Glancing. A 1 does 25%, a 2 does 50% and a 3 does 75%

If the attack hits, then we enter the damage phase. Damage is calculated as:
(Weapon dice + Strength) * Modifiers - Defense
If the attack was a critical hit, then the modifier is 2. If it was a Glancing blow, then it follows the above modifiers. Otherwise, the modifier is 1.

A counter attack works just like any other attack, only the roles have been swapped.

Ranged
First check is whether the attack hits the opponent or not
Attack= 1d20+ Dex+ Modifiers
Dodge= 1d20+ Speed+ Modifiers

If Attack > Dodge, then the attack hits
If the attack hits and the 1d20 roll for the attack was a 20, then it was a critical hit!
If Dodge > Attack, then the attack misses
If the attack misses and the 1d20 roll for the attack was a 20, then the Dodger closes the distance between them and attempts to stun the attacker
If Attack = Dodge, then the attack is a Glancing Blow.
A 1d3 is rolled for Glancing. A 1 does 25%, a 2 does 50% and a 3 does 75%

If the attack hits, then we enter the damage phase. Damage is calculated as:
(Weapon dice + Dexterity) * Modifiers - Defense
If the attack was a critical hit, then the modifier is 2. If it was a Glancing blow, then it follows the above modifiers. Otherwise, the modifier is 1.

Ability
First check is whether the attack hits the opponent or not
Attack= 1d20+ Will+ Modifiers
Dodge= 1d20+ Speed+ Modifiers

If Attack > Dodge, then the attack hits
If the attack hits and the 1d20 roll for the attack was a 20, then it was a critical hit!
If Dodge > Attack, then the attack misses
If the attack misses and the 1d20 roll for the attack was a 20, then the Dodger inflicts Will Break
If Attack = Dodge, then the attack is a Glancing Blow.
A 1d3 is rolled for Glancing. A 1 does 25%, a 2 does 50% and a 3 does 75%

If the attack hits, then we enter the damage phase. Damage is calculated as:
(Weapon dice + Will) * Modifiers - Defense
If the attack was a critical hit, then the modifier is 2. If it was a Glancing blow, then it follows the above modifiers. Otherwise, the modifier is 1.

Human vs Pokémon
A human attempting to defeat a Pokémon by themselves will usually always go poorly for the human. However, it can still be attempted out of desperation or as part of a greater strategy. Human vs Pokémon works a lot like Human vs Human does, with the appropriate stats switched out. There are a few differences however:
In most cases, a Pokémon may not attack a human unless the human has either:
  • Attacked the Pokémon first
  • Failed to defeat the Pokémon using their own Pokémon
A Pokémon is usually trying very hard not to kill a human when they attack. Because of this, some status effects may change and if they do more than 5 HP in one attack, the attack will only do 5 HP.

Trainer Skills:
Sitting around shouting commands at your Pokémon can be dull for a Trainer. So instead of that, there are things you can do to give your Pokémon an advantage (or at the very least give the opposing Trainer a disadvantage)! Skills are unique to each Trainer so shoot any ideas to me for approval.

Inactivity:
I will count you as inactive if I go 2 Posting Cycles (I plan to make a post every 5 to 7 days unless everyone posts before then) without any input from you. After that, you'll be thrown from the Active List into an Inactive List unless you let me know ahead of time that you'll be unable to post for a while. If you return before I go through 2 more Posting Cycles, then you'll start off having blacked out and will be recovering in the nearest PokeCenter. After that, you get thrown from the Inactive List to the Reserve List and someone on the Reserve List takes your spot.

Name: Sydnie
Gender: Female
Backstory: Born to a rather conservative family in Rustboro city in Hoenn, Sydnie didn't want for much during her early years in life. This grew to a sense of stifling monotony within her life, and a craving to seek out new and interesting things. When she visited her extended family in Mossdeep growing up, she and her cousin peeped on her aunt and uncle having sex, and awakened a new frontier for both girls. After the trip, nothing had changed for her on the surfaced, but now a new, dark urge began to take over. While she worked at a pokemon daycare during her more active hours, she began to moonlight as a whore for hire. Secretly, she knew that if she was discovered, she'd become a disappointment to her parents. Sorry, Mom and Dad. Sydnie liked being a whore. Even more than a whore, really. After all, she was often alone in the daycare, with no supervision... Not to mention babysitting jobs.

This all came to a head when one of her regulars chloroformed and kidnapped her, sticking her into a shipping container with other girls. After a while, they were taken to a region she was unfamiliar with and put to work. She didn't really mind, as she got to see new sights and suck dick, but the moment she discovered that her group was to be drugged into compliancy with some sort of plan involved, she knew she had to get out. At the first moment, she bailed. All she had was a handful of cash and no way home.
Personality: Sydnie first comes off as a sweet, big sister type. A bit of a slob, but charming and cheerful whenever it counted. She detests having to use violence to solve any sort of problem, and usually likes to stick her nose into other people's businesses play mediator. Look deeper, however, and you'd find a very different person. One that enjoys deviancy and corruption of innocent things.

(Incomplete and subject to change)

Name: Lumina "Mina" Preventer
Gender: Female
Personality:
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

A girl with severe depression, she sees herself as trapped in a state of living due to being unable to hurt those she knows and loves by killing herself. She finds most people to be an annoyance or a nuisance and tries to keep her distance from others, however finds this difficult because staying isolated makes her feel lonely. She passes her time by learning skills that she has a passing interest in, such as playing guitar, singing, painting, and eventually Pokemon training. She even learned skills that she determined herself would never be useful, just to pass the time, such as sword fighting, eventually beginning to develop her own martial arts for the Ninjaken, due to nobody having ever bothered using one, therefor causing the weapon to lack an actual fighting style. She secretly cuts herself on her stomach, thighs, shoulders, and wrists, and she has become addicted to the act. She's very rebellious, often taking certain actions for no reason other than having been told not to do it, she gets a strong sense of satisfaction that momentarily causes her to feel something other than depressed for having defied others, even if she didn't enjoy the activity.

Besides her depressive state, Lumina is a very artistic person, seeing art as the ultimate form of expression, whether the art is visual, auditory, or interactive.

Age: 18
Appearance:
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Image
Outfit: Image
5'3" tall, has scars from cutting on the right side of her lower stomach, both wrists, the backs of her shoulders, her inner thighs, has this tattoo on her stomach, to the left of her belly button: Boop

Background:
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

As far as Lumina can remember, she has always been depressed, as if a dark rain cloud had followed her around the entirety of the time she lived in Lavender Town, and then proceeded to follow her all the way to Brightstar. Her constant depression resulted in her parents and sister, Exia, being overbearing in their pursuit to prevent her from hurting or killing herself. This overbearing attitude towards her resulted in Lumina eventually seeking some semblance of power or freedom for herself, which took the form of open rebellion against what she perceived as the authority figures in her life.

Her parent's fear of Lumina's suicidal tendencies resulted in their almost immediate agreement to her desire to learn specific skills, in order to give her as many tethers to the world of the living as possible. This is what fueled her artistic side, allowing her to learn painting, guitar, and singing. By extension, her sister's desire to protect her and keep an eye on her resulted in Exia learning music by her side, which would eventually result in the two agreeing to form a band, at Lumina's suggestion.

Lumina, however, did not have an interest in Pokemon until she had been wandering Lavender Town and the surrounding area one day, and came upon a Pokemon battle. She was allowed to borrow a Trainer's Pokemon to give it a try, after it had ended. As a brand new Trainer, she, of course, lost. She thanked the Trainers and left the area, depressed. This is when a beacon of hope found her, crying. The boy called himself Youngster Joey, and he taught her the glory that is Rattata. He trained her every day for quite some time, however the training really only amounted to Youngster Joey talking about Rattatas, explaining to her every single thing he knew about them. This, however, like all good things, had to end. Joey had to leave on his journey, despite how much he enjoyed Lumina's company and their 'training sessions', he had to realize his destiny, he told her. This event did, however, plant into Lumina a deep respect for Rattatas, and a small interest in Pokemon Training, which would eventually lead to the start of her own journey.

Lumina and her family initially believed that it was the dreary atmosphere of Lavender Town that made her so depressed, however when she soon discovered, after moving there, that she didn't feel any different, she attempted to hang herself. She did so fully believing that her sister and parents were gone from the house, however Exia was just walking in as she kicked the bucket out from beneath her feet, allowing her to grab one of Lumina's many swords and cut the rope before it could break her neck. It was this event that caused her parents and her sister to discuss Lumina beginning her own journey, in the hopes that a goal would further tempt her to remain among the living.

Re: Pokémon: Disorganized Chaos

Postby cliffracer » Thu Aug 01, 2019 6:47 am

Name: Liah Bowers
Gender: Female
Personality: Liah is a woman fond of following her whims and learning what she can, and can be quite dedicated in doing so. She's calm and clever and generally pokes people's buttons when it's someone who'll let her get away with it, but she knows well who she ought to be respectful to. Liah also has a problem where she finds her sex appeal fun to leverage, and it doesn't quite matter to what end that is. This leads her usual posture to be pretty attention-grabbing, and she LOVES making eye contact when someone's guard is down. All of that considered though, she can seem quite lazy when left idle, is pretty self-serving, and someone has to work rather hard to remain in her intrest if they didn't appeal to her quickly. Special intrests of hers include the medicinal fields and attractive women.
Age: 23
Appearance: Liah is a darkskinned woman who has more or less the quintissential 'bottomheavy MILF' build. She keeps her straight hair about neck-length and somewhat messy to intentionally keep a lazy vibe about her, and she enjoys dressing in light gray shorts and black ribbed turtlenecks, normally sleeveless. She tends to accessorize and wear makeup that could get her described as a 'goth', but she doesn't lean in to it too heavily. She'd normally like a purse, but she understands the practicality of a backpack for travelling supplies.
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

(minus the eyepatch, the eyepatch is from a private thing i played Liah in, but it is actually a reference i put together of Liah herself)
Image

Bodytype Reference:
Image

Background: Liah is from Kalos, but she's not native to it. When she was a youngster she ended up moving there from Sinnoh with her older sister, who was an established Dark Trainer who felt like she needed to get her somewhere interesting in order for her to really flourish in to a person. It ended up being the right call- growing up in Lumiose City cemented her social lifestyle, even if she ended up developing a bit of a mean streak to survive alone as a new kid. She was going to be a regular scientist when she was reaching her twenties, but she ended up meeting Professor Sycamore instead. After leaving an... interesting first impression on him, Professor Sycamore wanted to see if Liah had the spark he was looking for in someone who could help fill a Pokedex. Sure enough, she had the passion for knowledge, but he needed to know if she was a good trainer. He gave her a challenge- if she could catch her first Pokemon without using a rental, he'd pay for her trip out to Uslane and give her a Pokedex to take with her.

She came back to him cradling her new Venipede like a baby. She ended up meeting her Pokemon after a bit of searching, and truly befriended him after enjoying a laugh watching someone get punished by a scorned Vespiquen... and then needing to flee with him in her arms so he could get away too. Sycamore saw a spark, so he decided she was ready for her journey. She took a passenger flight out to Moorville to start her exploration.

HP: 10
SP: 8
Strength: 1
Toughness: 4
Dexterity: 3
Will: 6
Charisma: 7
Speed: 2

-Second Opinion: If Liah is Poisoned (but not Badly Poisoned), she may randomly convert the Poison in to one of: Chilled, Blind, Silence, or Confusion. May only do this once per battle, or once per rest outside of battle.
-Mind for Healing: May use her Will to buckle down and treat someone else's Bleeding or Burns, or halve the penalty from a Cripple.
-Welcome Spirits: Liah's eccentric sensibilities make her a ghost magnet, and she finds it fun. Ghost Pokemon get a better chance at successfully haunting her, but they'd have to do something truly gastly for Liah to register it as anything but somnophilic fun.

Desired starting Pokémon: Venipede (M)
Home Town: Lumiose City
Starting Town: Moorville
Starting PokeDollars: 600

Let me know if there's something I need to work on.

Name: Casey Chance
Gender: Male
Personality: Upon first glance, you wouldn't think much of Casey, a quiet soft-spoken boy but spend more time with him and things will start to not quite add up. He is prone to the occasional bouts of unsettling glances that give the impression that you don't really want to know what he's currently thinking about, and he tends to overthink things leading to long pauses anytime he says anything as if he's concerned about speaking his unfiltered mind. In actuality, he is quite the pervert and greatly enjoys being in control, but even he isn't sure if his attempts to hide his true feelings and desires from those around him are out of shame for the way he is or to simply so they don't realize what he might do until it's too late. His desires are not to hurt, but the idea of having power over something gives him a strong thrill that he loves to indulge in.
Age: 19
Appearance:
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Casey.jpg

Background: Casey grew up in Golden Rod. The large city gave him many opportunities for troublemaking as he grew into a young man, but even that city couldn't keep his behavior hidden forever. Soon rumors about him would reach travelers ears in the outskirts of the city. Seeing that it was getting harder to find new people to toy with in his own particular way, he realized he needed a new lease on life. The idea of being a Pokemon trainer; traveling entire regions and commanding the obedience of powerful creatures had always been something he'd been considering and a change of scenery could let him meet many new people without any rumors to surround him for a time at least, and even if rumor spread in the new Region, he could just move on to the next after that. Taking a trip over to Olivine and leaving behind those he liked to play with, he got a ticket to that new region that's all the rage now. With so many new people traveling there, it would be a complete mess trying to keep track of any particular individual's behavior. He didn't have a Pokemon yet, but he assumed there would be some opportunity to pick one up there would present itself.

HP: 14
SP: 7
Strength: 2
Toughness: 4
Dexterity: 1
Will: 8
Charisma: 6
Speed: 1

Telekinetic Blast(Casey has some talent as a psychic he has yet to fully explore, but he has managed to turn it into an attack to defend himself.)
Cutting Word(Casey has a knack for intuiting someone's weakness' allowing him to undermine their self-confidence for his own purposes.)
Just Part of the Crowd(Casey has a knack of being unremarkable when it suites him making it easier to hide within crowds.)

Desired starting Pokémon: Espurr(F)
Home Town: Golden Rod
Starting Town: Brightstar City
Starting PokeDollars: 540

Name: Exia "Ex" Preventer
Gender: Female
Personality: Unlike her beloved sister Lumina, Exia is generally pretty content with her life. Exia from an early age began providing for not just herself, but her entire family as well. She began making surprisingly decent money doing oddjobs for their various neighbors at the age of 8 after her parents lost their jobs and struggled to provide for their children or themselves. She ended up being the main support for her sister Lumina, who from a early age displayed discontentment with her life and didn't ever seem to experience true happiness. She then made it her goal to help Lumina with making her life better, and often found herself spending time with Exia over her parents when she wasn't working. She acted as a sort of therapist for not just her sister, but her parents as well. This further continued in her life, and perhaps because of this she began to develop a very strong personality. Thinking that she was the only one capable of supporting her sister and those around her. She was the one people went to for advice, and she damn well learned to know what she was talking about. She's learned to carry herself in a dignified and mature way, the complete opposite of her sister. Despite this, the suicide attempts and continued depression of her sister made her feel unsure of her capabilities, making her feel insecure. Her will to help her sister even made her quit her job to join the band her sister made and decided she will train pokemon with her sister. She knew her sister still didn't like to listen to her, but she would keep trying and make her happy.
Age: 21

Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Background: Exia was her families backbone, at least that's what she believed. She always acted as their support, providing for them with money when they had none, finding ways to find food when they couldn't afford anything, help her sister and parents when they were depressed. (A daily thing when it came to her sister) and otherwise being the thing that let them survive until her parents finally got employment again. This all started at a young age, when she was 8 and worked oddjobs for extra cash. When she was a early teen this became part-time employment, and when she turned 18 she got a full time job the very next day. She got very good grades in her school and should she be in the rare position of not working or being with her family, read a book or watch a documentary. Despite her busy nature, when Lumina suggested they start a band together, Exia didn't hesitate to agree. Anything to help her sister find good in life even if it meant putting more strain on herself.

Despite her constant vigilance, the day Exia found her sister committing to the act of hanging herself was a day she would never forget. It was a image forever burned into the back of her mind, and made her strive even harder to try and make her sister happy. Years later when Lumina said she would begin training pokemon, Exia decided to go with her to make sure she kept herself out of trouble. Her parents had gotten employment so she wouldn't be leaving her parents to fend for themselves either. Exia had no previous desire to train pokemon, seeing them as just another fact of life that she paid no mind too. However, her desire to help her sister was stronger than that.

Name: Hannah Salk
Gender: Female
Personality: Hannah tends to appear upbeat and cheery, while still maintaining a professional air about her, something she considers ideal for her work as a journalist. She has always felt she had a talent for reading people and getting them to open up to her. Beneath this, she also tends to be more than just a little bit manipulative. Hannah will do just about anything to get ahead, and she's not afraid to use her good looks to her advantage. As a result of this, she has many colleagues, sources, and acquaintances, but nobody really resembling a close friend. Hannah loves to be the center of attention, though she tends to keep people at a distance, and anybody who did get close to her would probably be driven off by her more sociopathic tendencies anyway.
Age: 23
Appearance:
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Background: Born in crowded Castelia City, in a crowded family of 8, Hannah never really stood out throughout her childhood, being the middle child of her many siblings didn't help this at all. Spending time in the middle of so many sibling conflicts, Hannah mostly faded into the background and observed. Since she went unnoticed most of the time, she found she got a good feel for how her siblings would behave in certain situations and it wasn't long before she was using this to her advantage at home. Hannah found it fairly simple to manipulate her brothers and sisters into misbehaving, which always made her the good child by default since she tended to stay out of it beyond lighting that initial spark. Hannah would often take to people watching in the crowded streets of Castelia City, as this had become something of a hobby of hers and it seemed like it could pay off later on down the road.

One day, Hannah was wandering the streets and came across a reporter filming a live segment. She looked so pretty and people were stopping to watch her talk to the camera. Even though she had learned to benefit from her situation, Hannah couldn't help but be jealous of how that woman commanded attention from so many. She wanted to be just like that someday. Thankfully, her teenage years weren't far off and since she was starting to care more about her appearance, Hannah was growing into quite an attractive young lady. She was starting to turn heads on the streets now and as such she moved on from people watching to actually interacting with them. It was tricky at first, but after a bit of practice, Hannah found that most guys, and even some girls, would tell her about things they probably shouldn't if she asked the right questions and look cute enough.

Once she was old enough, Hannah had taken up an unpaid internship with the local paper and after what felt like a decade of grabbing coffee, she had finally worked her way up to using her skills to find leads for the veteran reporters. Somewhere along the line, she came to the realization that news anchors like the one she had idolized as a kid were all just bimbos reading from a prompter and looking good, but working as a real reporter like this had a certain exhilaration to it that she couldn't quite get from her experiences up until now. Once her internship was done, Hannah took a job as a small time beat reporter at the paper she had interned for, manipulating the truth out of just about anybody she could if it would lead to a good story. Though Hannah had never had any particular interest in Pokemon training, there were certain times where a Pokemon battle would get her into places she normally couldn't go, and trainers were usually happy to share info with their own kind. Not to mention, having a partner that could put people to sleep was useful in a variety of situations.

After a few years of this, a world news organization contacted her with an offer to work as a syndicated reporter. She had rarely left her hometown of Castelia City, so the thought of doing so had her a little nervous, but she couldn't resist the prospect of moving up in the world. Her new job would have her traveling the Uslane region, where the growing conflict between Team Native and Team Lost Love was starting to make headlines, along with any other noteworthy news she could cover in the area.

Name: Lucy Vanderstand

Gender: Female

Personality: Lucy has a motherly aura around her. She is incredibly kind and nurturing, especially to inexperienced trainers and young pokemon. She’s willing to patiently explain a subject to anyone as a teacher would, while also listening patiently to anyone with a problem they can’t solve. Though these traits barely hide her more lecherous inclinations.

Background:
Lucy Vanderstand use to go by Maribelle Witherwick. She was a former elite trainer and certified pokemon breeder. But she could never make it far as a trainer, barely being able to collect the badges needed to take part in the pokemon league. As time went on she veered away from pokemon battles and focused on breeding instead. Maribelle always had a knack for raising healthy, happy pokemon. Eventually, she was able to land a job as an attendant at the pokemon daycare south of Cerulean City. With her past experience as a trainer and her overall caring nature, Maribelle became extremely popular with the locals and the daycare staff. Though people started to notice their pokemon were more docile when they left the daycare.

Then one day, just as the daycare was closing a trainer sneaked in to check on the Machoke he’d left about week ago. Looking inside one of the offices, he saw his Machoke lying on a medical table. The muscular creature looked drugged as Maribelle lay on top of him straddling his cock. The trainer watched as Maribelle raped the drugged pokemon before running away. Word spread quickly until the allegations caught the attention of the police. A formal investigation revealed that for the last five years, Maribelle had been sexually assaulting the pokemon being brought to the daycare centre. Moreover, it came out that the daycare owner knew about this and had been covering it up to avoid a scandal. Former clients withdrew their pokemon on-masse from the daycare and the story made the national news. Many former clients were even bringing up lawsuits against Maribelle and the daycare. And it looked like she would be arrested for pokemon abuse.

Panicking, Maribelle fled the daycare and the Kanto Region. She changed her name, dyed her blonde hair red and flew to the Uslane Region in hopes of a new start.

Name: Kahua Maturinus
Gender: Male
Personality: Eccentric, dramatic, and brash. These three words explain Kahua's entire personality. As the adopted son of a former gym leader, Kahua took entirely to his adoptive father's mannerisms, from his love of competition to his enjoyment of traditional Pokemon battles. Kahua is somewhat naive and impressionable due to his lack of experience in the world as he's only ever lived in his home town all his life, and as naturally trusting and optimistic as he is, he's not very hard to trick or manipulate. But if crossed, those who'd dare to would find he's surprisingly unforgiving and harsh in his vengeance, going a full 100 and 20 over in his quest to hurt those who hurt him. Kahua had always been very emotional, and despite the best efforts of his loved ones; he just couldn't find a way to ever control his temper. Some in his home believe he inherited that violent temper from his absent mother, and others believe it's just a trait of his immaturity, but at any case it's a simple fact that he's not good at dealing with his anger.

Other than being intense and weird, Kahua is also very fun-loving and laid-back to most things that don't cause harm to him or his values. He's open to experiencing new things and usually tackles these things with enthusiasm and curiosity as he did with surfing and Pokemon battling, his main two interests. He's not particularly smart nor dumb, but thanks to his sister, he has a great deal of sea knowledge both involving facts and myths of the big blue, and he also learned how to surf from her too. He's incredibly grateful to her for these reasons, and his already strong sense of loyalty and selflessness is amplified whenever she's involved.

Kahua is a dark-skinned young man standing at 5'11". He typically wears black and orange swimming trunks with a pair of orange sandals to fit the look, a sleeveless orange shirt with an open pink button-up with the sleeves rolled up, and for accessories, Kahua wears a pair of blue goggles on his head that contrast with his naturally strawberry pink hair and three bracelets on his right wrist. He typically keeps a standard Pokemon backpack on his back when out on his travels.

Background:
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Kahua Maturinus, adopted son of Kahakilani Maturinus and adopted brother of Alani Maturinus, was born and raised in the quiet seaside of Clearwater after his birth parents abandoned him when he was merely a toddler. He was raised by the kind former gym leader of Clearwater and said man's daughter after he was discovered alone out in the cold, and in no time flat, little Kahua quickly grew to become a town favorite, with several other members of the town pitching in to help the small family from time to time. Because of this, Kahua grew a strong sense of loyalty and considered all of Clearwater as his family in one way or another. The close knit community of the town were more than happy to be there for him, and Kahua never thought to question the absence of his birth parents. Why would he, when he had so many other family members? He was comfortable with his life. He spent his days surfing with Alani, watching Pokemon league battles, assisting the current gym leader Damian at his gym, and helping out around the town. He lived a simple life and never asked for much, nor did he need to.

This all came to a change on his 19th birthday, a few days after a Team Native terror act in Brightstar City was making headlines. The police were looking for a few persons of interest and had put out a few APBs on live television—just as the Maturinus family were eating their usual nightly dinner together. Kahua was simply eating his spaghetti and not minding the television when he heard the sound of a gasp from his father, followed by the dropping and crashing of a plate. When he looked over, he saw Kahakilani with the oddest, most shocked expression he'd ever seen his dad have. Kahua followed his gaze to the TV screen... and saw a woman who looked so similar to him. She had the same unruly pink hair, the same dark skin, and... he couldn't shake a feeling of familiarity with her. His father would, in a daze, then shed some light on the odd situation as he uttered one lone name. The name of Kahua's mother.

It didn't make sense to him. Kahua only knew what the townsfolk and his father would tell about his mother, but from what he'd known, she wasn't a criminal of any kind—just an unfortunate woman who struggled a great deal in life. So why were the police labeling her a person of interest and tying her to a Team Native terror attack? He wasn't sure what to think of it. The very next day, Kahua would demand an explanation from his adoptive father, who'd tell him nothing helpful. The woman he knew would never have stooped so low, he said. Maybe she had some of her own problems, but she'd never become a criminal. The townsfolk would generally be in agreement with this, as well as his sister. But that wouldn't satisfy Kahua. This was a woman who he'd never known, who is so close to him yet so far. Someone who he supposedly took after a great deal. How could he accept her being seen as a villain? Is she really a villain? These questions would burn in his mind like a stubborn fire that refused to be put out.

And like the fire that it was, it spread until it consumed him. Kahua refused to simply go about his days never knowing the truth of his mother's fate, but he didn't know just what to do about it. He took some brief counseling from Alani, who encouraged him to seek out the answers himself and go out to explore the world outside of Clearwater. To help him on his journey, she gave him a Carvanha she rescued out in the seas. Together with this distrustful and mildly disobedient Carvanha and armed with his naivety and ignorance of the outside world, Kahua set out on his adventure.

Being cousins with the Humilau Gym Leader Marlin and growing up near the ocean, spending as much time in the water as possible was the way of life for Calder. As far back as he could remember, Calder has spent as much time diving with Water pokemon as he did in school or at home. Not even the occasional Tentacool sting could keep him out of the water for long. As Calder graduated school and most of his friends left to start their own journeys, Calder remained at home in the sea outside Humilau. Spending time with and helping out the wild water pokemon eventually had him gifted with both a strong physique and his first partner: A Magikarp gifted to him by a female Magikarp he grew up around.

Eventually, Calder began to wonder what other oceans held. First, he traveled to Slateport City to check out the Oceanic Museum. Feeling a bit disappointed by what he found there, Calder eventually heard about a city that immediately caught his attention: Clearwater in the Uslane Region. With no reason other than to be the first person he knew to check it out, Calder figured out a travel plan, said goodbye to his family, and set off for Uslane.

Name Torekkā
Pokemon Race: Zorua
Gender Female
Background: Torekkā, a name she adopted some time after her birth, was born a wild pokemon off of route 101. She learned from her mother the power of her illusionary abilities. They used them to protect their territory and scare off other pokemon. After a few months, she was fully grown and slowly separated from her mother’s territory to live on her own. There weren’t all that many bigger badder pokemon for around for her to mimic so after living on scraps for some time she wandered near Brightstar. It took a lot of practice but eventually, she managed to disguise herself as a human woman. She loved the freedom it afforded her. She could walk into almost any building without being chased away. It took a bit to learn that just going into any house was still not wise. Though her new human illusion made her life a lot easier. She was managing to eat more frequently and could get into nice secure places to sleep for the night. After she started to feel safer inside the city she started to mimic voices and learn a few words. This led to even more comingling with humans and learning about their culture and nature. She managed to learn the fundamentals of currency and bartering thus securing her safety even more. With her access and at least a decent grip on communication she started to cause trouble. She would pretend to be a mistress, steal belongings to plant on others, make confessions of love to complete strangers, mostly tactics to entice rage and strife between people. She did her best work at restaurants, where she would wait for someone at a table to leave for the restroom and take their place at the table. She would eat their food, make some terrible insults and then disappear out of sight. Then she would watch from the shadows as they returned to the table and faced the rage of their companions. It was a good life, until one day she was caught. She was pilfering from a pokemart, stocking up on snacks and potions when a good samaritan caught her red-handed. The startling nature of the encounter caused Torekkā’s tail to show and the girl quickly grabbed it. That’s how Torekkā met Exia and Mina and was bound to a contract with them. Exia offered her safety in exchange for becoming her sister's first pokemon. Rather than abandon her whole new life she agreed to the arrangement.
Personality: Torekkā is mischievous, curious, and deceitful. She has been used to living a lie for a while and does whatever she can to ensure it stays that way. She is however also quite careful and values her life above all else. She loves to explore and see new things as well as cause chaos and strife.

Apperances: https://i.imgur.com/lHtiH6P.png as Pokemon
https://i.imgur.com/5xvjPdl.jpg This is a common go-to for Torekka, but she can appear as many different humans and pokemon. her tail persists in her human form.
I really like purple.
