Map: The Lecter House
The Lecter House is a colossal mansion, previously owned by the well-decorated and accomplished therapist, Doctor Lecter. This house is rumored to be thoroughly haunted by the ghosts of past patients, and is filled with a strange gas which forced those who inhale it to "relax".

Boss:
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Name: Doctor Lecter
Gender: ??
Appearance: https://i.imgur.com/VwTyGHr.png
Age: ??
Background: Long ago, Doctor Lecter was a well decorated and accomplished therapist with a reputation for being an understanding and patient man. He’d never lose his cool and never grow angry with his clients, and instead, he’d do his very best to help them as if failing to do so would be a personal affront to him. Everyone who knew Doctor Lecter believed he was a good man, so his death was made all the more devastating for so many. He’d become a cornerstone in the lives of many vulnerable and dangerous people. Without him, they began to unravel. It was as if they couldn’t bear to exist without him. Like they were slaves to his presence… but that’s what happens when a genius psychologist uses the mentally damaged to form a cult.

In truth, the person known as Doctor Lecter was a monster of a man. He took advantage of his clients, both young and old, to create a cult with himself at the forefront as their shepherd to something greater. He was an insane man who made those around him just as insane, and the byproduct of this? A sizable group of admirers who feel a need to assume his place. To bring back the great Doctor Lecter from death, many of his patients regularly began dressing and pretending to be him. Now, there are just so many Doctor Lecters… and they all only want to help others see the light, as their doctor did for them.

Clothes Break:
Survivors or Bosses can initiate Break Checks to damage a Survivor’s clothing. Doing so will put a -1 Constitution reduction on the target for each article of clothing that is damage by these checks.

A Survivor with damaged clothes gains more Aggro upon failing Skill Checks.
Range:
Range is measured in M, which stands for Meter.

Some of the Mechanics:
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

The Survivor:
Survivors are tasked with fulfilling the win condition of each map, which is to escape. There is no time limit, therefor waiting until daylight will not save you, the Survivors must instead find the exit locations on the map they’re playing on, then proceed to collect the supplies and use them appropriately to exit the map. For example, the player may be trapped on a map with a lake, and the exit condition may be to cross that lake. The player must therefore figure out a method to cross that lake, and find associated supplies to make that escape plan a reality. On that map, the lake would, however, not be the only method of escape.

If the Boss catches and downs a Survivor, that Boss may then rape the Survivor, and by doing so, the Boss fulfills a condition to upgrade their stats, trait, or abilities, and takes that Survivor out of the match.
The Boss:
The Boss is the creature roaming each associated map, who is tasked with raping each of the Survivors. Each Survivor that the Boss rapes will make that Boss more powerful during that round, and grant them points to spend between rounds. The Boss wins the match by raping every Survivor, thus preventing them from safely leaving the map.

During and between rounds, additional Bosses can be proposed which, when agreed upon, will then be added to the Roster. Between each round, a Map+Boss is selected at random to be part of the next round’s setting.

After the Boss is rolled for the start of the round, a dice is then rolled for participating players to decide which player is that round’s boss.

Unlike Survivors, the Boss cannot be downed, it instead enters a healing state, before resuming action. During this healing state, the Boss cannot interact with the map or Survivors, and recovers 20% HP per turn.
Targeted Attack:
The Boss, while within range of a Survivor, can initiate a Targeted Attack, which allows the Boss to damage the Survivor’s limbs in addition to their HP, by rolling an additional Dexterity check.
Head: Reduce Intelligence by 25%
Arms: Reduce Strength by 25% per arm
Legs: Reduce Speed by 25% per leg

This check can also be used to afflict a target with Bleed instead.

The Map:
Each Boss has a map that they roam, which are selected in tandem with the Boss at the start of each round. Upon rolling for which player is playing as the Boss, the map is already determined with said boss. Each map will have several methods of escape available for survivors to take, and the supplies to succeed in escaping will also be hidden.

Aggro Stacks:
Performing certain actions and failing checks each cause a Survivor to gain Aggro Stacks. These stacks cause the Boss to specifically search for the Survivor who has the most. Upon reaching a certain number of Stacks, the Boss will immediately move to the Survivor’s location. Stacks are removed gradually by resting. Most actions which would cause a Survivor to gain Aggro stacks involve making noise. Aggro stacks will typically only stack up to 5, however, in the case of multiple players having 5, they can stack higher.

When pursuing a character with the highest Aggro Stacks, the Boss gains +1 movement and +25% Speed.

Name: Prospera Giovannucci
Gender: Female
Appearance: 5'9"
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Image

Age(18+): 23
Background: Prospera was born in Venice, Italy. In the various waterways and narrow canals, lots of crime could take place. Yet, even as a young girl, Prospera had a keen eye for details, and could notice a shady looking character easily. This has kept her and her parents away from harm for a while, though this is also due to the fact her father had the same keen eye. Her father helped train her to use that innate sense more acutely, and by the time she became an adult, she was a natural detective. Because of this, she became a private detective, quite the good one at that. She underwent police self-defense courses in order to help defend herself as she was often alone on jobs. While most of the jobs she took were pretty bland and unremarkable, often husbands or wives suspicious that there significant other was cheating, or occasionally business partners that suspected the other of hogging all the money. Sometimes though, she would take a job that even made her perceptive eye unsure of what she was seeing. Unbeknownst to her, her most recent job would be one of these. A private medical firm was investigating a dead therapist for suspected human rights violations, and had, with there limited funds, decided to contract a private detective, this detective was of course Prospera. She jumped on the job instantly, eager to have something that could actually challenge herself.

Personality: Propsera is a rather laid back and and witty person, much unlike the stereotypical detective. Despite her intelligent and perceptive nature, she acts much like a normal person. She loves to crack jokes and make sarcastic remarks to others, and seems to like to take things slow, though she is quite efficient at what she does. She can make friends rather easily with others, and tends to not judge others based off of surface level details.

Wearing blue jeans, black T-shirt and running shoes. Underwear as pictured.

Age(18+): 23
Background: There isn't much to say about Alexandra's life. She's been born to a normal, working family, had happy childhood without any siblings, did well during her studies and got a decent, if boring office job. Not very social, she uses books... mostly sci-fi and fantasy... to escape the tedium of everyday life. She's got few friends through shared interests, and it was one of those friends who sent her internet article about supposedly haunted house not far from her home. Of course, ghosts and haunts only exist in stories, but creepy-but-reasonably safe house sounded interesting enough to check out personally. Books and movies are one thing, but personal experience is something new. Though her friend had to call off her participation in the "expedition" at the last moment, Alexandra was determined to explore the place out, even if she had to go alone. It's just a harmless old house, after all.
Personality: Well read and nerdy. May be a bit know-it-all at times. While not lazy, she prefers leaving heavy work to others. Doesn't make friends easily, and feels a bit embarassed talking about her hobbies to other people, but she's loyal to the few who earn her trust. Doesn't like crowds.

Postby mrblah » Tue May 07, 2019 6:04 am

Name: Winnie Toland
Gender: Female
Appearance:
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Image

Age: 18
Background:
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

18 years ago, Winnie was born to the Toland family. She was the firstborn to two important businesspeople, and 4 years later, she'd become the older sister to her younger brother. Growing up was a surprisingly isolated experience for the young girl, despite the presence of said younger brother. Her family traveled a lot due to her father's work, so she never had a chance to settle down and make any meaningful strong connections. What little friends she could make during their stay in one place would be gone the next, and so on and so forth. Her parents weren't attentive enough to have noticed how lonely this made her. But even at a young age, Winnie had always retained a strong and positive freedom-loving spirit. She made do with her situation by going out on adventures with her younger brother. Every place they traveled to seemed to have some secrets of their own. Every nook and cranny had a hidden story and legend. Sometimes they'd be scary, but that only made them all the more interesting to investigate. At some point, the scary ones became more interesting to Winnie than the simple act of exploration on its own, and she'd become somewhat of an amateur paranormal investigator in time.

Her parents struggled to keep her inside the house, but as busy as they were, they couldn't have been vigilant 24/7. On days they weren't, Winnie would go off on another adventure to some spooky house with her brother. This would continue up until the day finally came when their parents decided to settle down and enroll them into an actual school instead of hiring tutors and trying to home-school them on the go. Winnie's younger brother had an easier time adjusting to this change than she had. As used to constant travel and exploration as she was, Winnie had become socially inept. Sometimes she'd lack enthusiasm in interactions, and in the times she WAS interested, she'd overwhelm the other with just how enthusiastic she was. That awkwardness would lead to her, even though she finally had a chance, to become pretty isolated from her peers.

There was an exception. One teacher had never quite given up in the face of Winnie's whimsical rebellion; it was her Literary Studies teacher, Monica Angelique. Monica had always been a watchful and more active authority that tried to keep Winnie from going off to do whatever. She mystified the young girl, who never really had a caring older figure in her life, but Monica's kindness and wisdom easily helped the lonely girl to grow fond of her, even if she wasn't a fan of Monica's authority over her, or how Monica would try to stop her from running off to explore a creepy mansion that supposedly was owned by a dead crazy therapist who started a cult that ALSO supposedly still inhabited said therapist's home.

... Considering their position now, maybe Monica was right on a few things.

Personality: Winnie Toland is a young free-minded explorer best known by her peers for her odd interests, and by those in positions of authority over her, for her rebellious spirit that prefers to go its own way. Winnie may typically come off as unenthusiastic and hard to approach when the topic doesn't interest her, but in reality, she's actually the honest and friendly type, however; due to her enthusiasm with her interest towards the occult and the creepier things of the supernatural, she doesn't have a lot of friends. Most see her as the weird girl who likes to go on ghost hunts at night in creepy parks or investigate mysterious death cases and nothing more. This suits Winnie just find, as she's always cared more about her interests to think much about her social life or her future.

Winnie's a naturally altruistic individual, despite how others may think. In a time of crisis, she'd put her life on the line to aid another, confident that she could both help them and survive herself. In that same way, she could be seen as foolish. An idealist unused to reality, and naive to how things really are. She's the kind of person who'd think "that's horrible" when bad things are done by people to other people, and because of this black and white thinking of hers, Winnie is easy to take advantage of. She's far too innocent for her own good.
Relationship: Monica's student.

I think it is safe to assume this game is dead.... well, that didn't take long.

I forgot to post that. Most of the people that were in the RP were in the Discord group, so when I told them that I was ending it, it didn't occur to me to let others know, so that's my bad.

Over the course of the RP, things that I hadn't considered began to come up. Such as people being forced to design characters that they wouldn't get attached to, people not being able to play the Bosses that they designed, the fact that people couldn't defend themselves being the biggest. When I made every single other RP that I've designed during my time on the site, I was trying to avoid player choice being taken away, and that's exactly what this RP did. I like seeing characters develop, and I was constantly thinking about how these characters would go away, as would any other characters every single round. So, I guess, in short, I hated writing for this RP.

If you're interested in joining one of my RPs, I have three, and I'm easy to contact. They're updated near weekly, sometimes even shorter amounts of time, and the mechanics are updated very frequently to keep them engaging and fair for the players, I just didn't feel like this specific RP was fair to everyone or engaging.

Ah. That explains that. Well, it's a shame, even though the objections are understandable.
