I'd be curious to know if there are any sources that actually describe the character in the broadcast as being named Ruby in the first place, or more specifically as her being Krystal's sister, I haven't seen anything like that.

I'm still not even sure said broadcast is actually IN Assault.

Does it matter? Call them "soul sistahs" if it bothers you so much. Or don't call her anything. It seems unlikely that she'll be made by the devs, though to simply recolor Krystal and call her Ruby would be easy enough that a toddler could do it.

She's not related to Krystal, there's no reason she would be, she doesn't even really look that much like Krystal, her being of the same race doesn't make them related, and a recolour of Krystal is just a bad idea all around.

No. Have you ever mixed colours on your PC? Select red and turn up the brightness. No pink. Only some skin-colour-like...non-colour. now try the same with magenta. Dark: Purple. Bright: Pink.

I'm speaking about colours not on a screen but right in front of you in real life.
Take a bunch of coloured pencils. Get a red and pink and a purple and lavender. You can see that they match. Screens can give off false colours sometimes. If it's in front of your eyes in actual person, you can see it.
I can say Pink is a light shade of magenta, maybe, but even magenta is closer to red mixed with a slight shade of purple. Still closer to red.

When talking about pigments we have subtractive colour, if it's light it follows the rules of additive colour. So you can't compare pen to screen. Still my mistake, I should have mentioned I was talking about additive colour.
