I also don't tend to look away from the computer as I type, I can touch type so it isn't usually a problem, (to make a point this is fun edited), but sometimes my hands drift, and everything ends up a key, off or I'll click, my mouse sticks and whatever I'm typing out reverses just like siht.

7340. Well this just illustrates my point then, doesn't it? That should be called "Word guesser" or maybe "Sentence finisher" "Word helper" could also work, but its a bit too generic, IMO.

Y'know, jokes aside, the people who would benefit most from these programs are probably those with a poor understanding of English, (Or whatever language the program is for, you know what I mean) So the names of them actually should be something that such a person could understand, and I don't think "Predictive text" or "Auto-correct" are.

7343. I believe the term predictive text comes from mobile originally where it was designed to speed up messaging, I do agree though the terms are generally pretty vague
