Magnadimension Neptunia: Nation of Fragile Faith Re;Birth

Premise:
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

It is said that Gamindustri was once ruled by Console Patron Units, or CPUs, otherwise referred to as Goddesses. While where these Goddesses disappeared to is left a mystery, Gamindustri is now ruled by an organization known as The Inquisition, which resides in a massive floating spire in the center of Gamindustri, while smaller Spires exist in each city, each lead by a Bishop, while the ArchBishops rule from the center, sending their Crusaders, lead by Justicars, to ensure that discussion of the idea of Goddesses is stomped out as soon as possible, these squads acting as judge, jury, and executioner when anyone is accused of heresy. Under the leadership of The Inquisition, Gamindustri has entered a Video Game Crash, due to their heavy restriction on production and distribution. The residents of Gamindustri now live in mud huts, eating rats. It is said, however, that fragments of the Goddesses of old rest somewhere on the continent of Gamindustri, and that one day, the fragments of those Goddesses will fall into the hands of the worthy, creating new Goddesses.

At the start of the RP, in either the first or second post, most likely, the player characters will stumble upon a fragment, which will transform those characters into Goddesses. The Goddess will then understand that their calling is to rule their own civilization and gather followers, in order to become more powerful. The Goddesses will be undertaking their own missions for their own benefit and the benefit of their civilization, while also ruling their own Nation, building it from the ground up.

Aggro:
Aggro is the method by which an enemy selects its attack target and how it decides to attack. There are several different rules an enemy will act by, dependent on the type of enemy.
No Brain:
The lowest level of intelligence, these enemies will attack the enemy that damaged it last. The way it attacks is determined by the range of the target. If the enemy’s strongest attack is ranged, the enemy will try to stay at maximum range while still striking the target, while only using closer-ranged attacks when the target gets too close. If the enemy’s strongest attack is melee, the enemy will try to stay as close as possible while only using ranged attacks when the target is too far away to reach.
Defensive Brain:
These enemies will attack the enemy who has done the most damage at once through the entire battle, and will use the attacks which inflicted the most damage at a time.
Assassin Brain:
These enemies will attack the target which is most vulnerable to damage, while using the attacks which inflicted the most damage last.
Data Brain:
These enemies will switch between Assassin Brain and Defensive Brain based on whether or not they’re taking too much damage from the player, or whether or not they’re inflicting enough damage to win. This Brain Type is an opportunist which will defeat opponents who are vulnerable while also preserving itself.
Galaxy Brain:
These enemies will not restrict themselves to one pattern or another, instead acting based on the most logical actions which are most likely to achieve victory at the same. They will make use of status effects, AOE strikes, physical and ability damage based on what will cause them to deal the most damage or avoid the most damage.

Civilization management:
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Followers:
As a Goddess builds her civilization from the ground up, she gathers followers. These followers grant that Goddess additional power through Shares, which represent the amount of faith put into her. Follower gain starts at 1 follower per-day, and will increase or decrease based on the Goddess’ display of intellect, power, grace, and/or benevolence.
Shares and Leveling:
Each day, the Followers a Goddess has will generate 1 Share for every 10 Followers, the number of Shares a Goddess has being put towards increasing that Goddess’ level, a Goddess gaining 1 Stat Point every level, and 2 Stat Points for her HDD form.

Shares required to level up: x^5 (x=Character level)

Every 10 levels, a Goddess will gain a new ability, stat bonus from Armor will increase by +1, and weapons will gain +d1.
Resource Gathering:
As a Goddess gains followers, she can contract followers to gather resources in exchange for payment, each follower bringing back 1d4 of the resource they were sent to gather at the end of the day. These resources can be used to construct defenses, equipment, and structures.
Resource types:
Wood:
Metal:
Cotton:
Glass:
Gas:
Minerals:
Stone:
Construction:
Followers can be contracted to build structures for the Goddess, each structure advancing the civilization and allowing more activities. In addition to the resources that can be gathered by Followers, the civilization also needs energy, and places to store each resource, or extract the resource from once built.
Structures:
Some structures will not be listed, as they are up to the Goddess to think of in order to improve the living conditions of her Civilization.

Basilicom: The place the Goddess/CPU lives and conducts her business in regards to ruling her Civilization.

Refinery: Used for harvesting and storing Gas.

Mineral Mine: Used for harvesting and storing Minerals.

Lumber Mill: Used for harvesting and storing Wood.

Stone Mill: Used for harvesting and storing Stone.

Glassblowers: Used for harvesting Glass

Steelworks: Used to harvest Metal

Plantation: Used to harvest cotton

Barracks: Used for training Guards and Soldiers.

Armory: Used for arming Guards and Soldiers.

Garage: Used to produce vehicles.

Embassy: Used for conducting business with other Goddesses and leaders.

Lab: Used for researching upgrades and other structures, including other Labs.

Press Station: Used for keeping the Goddess and the citizens informed on their Civilization and policies out of the Basilicom.

Hut: Gives followers a place to stay, increases population cap.

Guild: This is where the Goddess and followers can find work.

Over the course of a Civilization’s advancement, better structures can be researched, and some structures can be upgraded, causing them to output more research, better research, more resources, or better resources.
Follower Rate and Ruler Policy:
As the Goddess rules over her Civilization, she may attempt to improve the lives of her citizens by implementing policies, funding certain processes, or ordering certain research undertaken. Funding can also be put into research or construction to complete them faster.

Successful Research, policies, and structures which the citizens benefit from will increase Follower gain. Victory in battle, successful meetings with other Goddesses, public appearances which please followers, fighting off threats to her civilization, taking on work at her guild and completing it successfully, etc, all grant the Goddess additional shares for her work. Likewise, any failures and actions which are perceived negatively will cause the Goddess to lose faith and followers.
Currency:
Currency is determined by the Goddesses, and can be obtained through defeating enemies and through other methods controlled by how the Goddess rules her Civilization.

CPU form:

Name: Holly Rosaria
Gender: Female
Appearance(A solid description and/OR a picture will do): 5'9", C cup breasts
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Image

How does this character sound when speaking(Dialect, voice, etc): Holly speaks in a posh, British like accent. Otherwise, she speaks mostly normal though she does fumble over her words occasionally.
Character Personality: Holly is a timid and shy person that has trouble speaking her mind to others and mostly keeps to herself. She tries to make friends with most people she meets, preferring to get on people's good side whenever possible. Because of this she has a hard time saying no to others, and thus tends to let others walk all over her. However, she will gain random bouts of confidence were she speaks more surely and will focus on what it is that she wants. Recently this has happened more often as she became an adult, but she still struggles with confidence and dealing with others.

Skills this character has(List three): Farming and knowledge of plants, critical thinking, cooking
Things this character is bad at(List three): Fighting, being confident, interactions with others

A comprehensive backstory on your character: Holly lives in a simple medium sized farming village with about seventy or so people living in it. She lives with only her father as her mother died during childbirth. Her father didn't take it all well, and blamed Holly for the death of his wife. He wasn't all that abusive growing up, but he was very reclusive towards her and avoided her whenever possible. He would occasionally hit her or yell at her, but not often and usually only when she actually did something stupid. She had only one friend growing up, a girl named Gloria who Holly met at the age of 6 while outside. Gloria was her only form of social upbringing, as many of the other residents ignored her due to fearmongering by her father. However, Gloria wasn't the nicest person to be around for most. She took advantage of Holly's timidness and submissiveness and used her to retrieved things dropped into muddy areas, take the blame for Gloria's troublemaking, and other such things. Despite this, Gloria seemed to grow fond of Holly, and by the time Gloria disappeared suddenly when Holly was 15, Gloria had stopped making Holly do these things all together, seeming to view her as an actual friend. No one knew what happened to Gloria, one day she was there being herself, then overnight she was gone never to be seen by the village again. Holly took the loss pretty hard, and became even more reclusive for a very long time. It wasn't until her eighteenth birthday that she made a personal promise to be more forward and sure of herself. Currently Holly is out looking for food at the end of winter, it is still to cold for most crops to grow, so they have to rely on hunting and gathering for now. Her father is in the village still, where he always is.

Character Personality: Crimson Heart is the hidden confidence of Holly personified. She is almost a different person who is much more sure of herself. Holding herself upright and being unafraid to show others she is there. She still holds her overall personality where she wishes to come to a more peaceful and friendly agreement with others. She tends to be more stubborn now as well, and acts more brashly.

Name: Priscilla Commons
Gender: Female

Appearance:
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

How does this character sound when speaking(Dialect, voice, etc): PC has a strong, loud voice that carries usually even when she’s not trying. She tends to flub words a bit though (i.e. She sometimes forgets basic words like “like” and has to spend a moment remembering or she’ll try to say lovely and it’ll come out “loofly” and she’ll quickly try to correct herself)

Character Personality: PC is brash and outgoing. She knows she’s the best and now it’s a matter of proving it to the rest of the world. To those under her command, however, she’s nurturing and only wants to see the best in those that follow her. She can be a little unreasonable in what she thinks this “best” is sometimes though.

Skills this character has: Street Fighting, (Gang) People Management, Protection
Things this character is bad at: Ignoring threats to those under her, Dealing with boredom, speaking clearly

A comprehensive backstory on your character:
Priscilla has no idea who her parents are. Her first memory is of being in a rather shitty building that styled itself an orphanage and basically having to fend for herself. She did this by roaming the streets, stealing what she had to in order to survive whether from people’s homes or from the people themselves. She managed to gather together a group of likeminded individuals from the orphanage and together they formed a gang to take what they wanted from others. And learned very quickly that that wasn’t the way to go about things as people began to run away or hide their belonging at the sight of her or any of her members. Meaning that she got less and less to survive on.

So she shifted. Instead of stealing from people, she had her gang switch to protecting people from being stolen from, keeping the wild ones that would invade the town at bay and generally protecting those weaker than her. It took a long while before anyone was willing to trust her again after the shit she’d pulled, but eventually they at least trusted that she’d moved on from harming them. She found her gang growing from a ragtag band of orphans to a small militia. Those who joined found the same thing her trusted core of people did: that she tends to nurture and try to bring out the best in those under her command. Those under her command are both treated like family and held to higher standards than anyone else. Anyone who couldn’t attain those standards on their own were put through her personal hell course until they could. Those who couldn’t even after that were dropped from her gang and instead put under her protection like the others.

Nowadays she’s actually a much respected member of her community, a feeling she’s gotten used to. She is starting to wonder if this will be the rest of her life though. The thought is beginning to bore her.

How does this character sound when speaking: Her voice becomes a touch softer, but carries a clear sense of authority usually lacking in her human form. She’s more precise with her words, so her habit of messing them up disappears.
Character Personality: The more nurturing part of PC’s personality becomes the default so overall, Violet Heart is kinder and gentler. She tends to refer to her followers as her children in this form. She does, however, view enemies as direct threats to her children and is much harsher and much less reasonable to them as a result.

Name: Daphne Strauss
Gender: Female
Appearance(A solid description and/OR a picture will do):
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Image

How does this character sound when speaking(Dialect, voice, etc): Daphne has a rather deep, gruff voice. It almost sounds like she's growling when she speaks. Her lack of education shows in her poor grammar and often misuse of words.
Character Personality: First and foremost, Daphne is concerned with increasing her own strength. She will fight anyone if she believes she'll come out stronger for it, and she rarely backs down from a fight. Daphne is very untrusting of others and tends to go it alone as much as possible. She tends to be rude on the occasion she has to interact with others. Daphne is impulsive and free spirited and doesn't give much thought to right or wrong, often simply taking what she wants, when she wants it.
Skills this character has(List three): Punching, intimidation, trash talking
Things this character is bad at(List three): Interacting politely with others, trusting anyone other than herself, quick thinking

A comprehensive backstory on your character: Daphne has been alone for as long as she can remember, moving from home to home as everyone who seemed willing to take her in was only interested in using and abusing her. Each time wore down her faith in people until she finally decided she was better off taking care of herself. Though she was essentially homeless, Daphne managed to survive by stealing scraps from others and fighting off anyone looking to take advantage of her. She didn't trust anyone enough to let herself join a gang or have someone take her under their wing, instead getting by with a self taught fighting style and her own two fists. It would have been far easier to just fall in with others, but Daphne was stubborn and sick of how she had been treated. Her failures outweighed her successes at first, but that had slowly started to change. Daphne was relentless, anyone who beat her would find themselves hounded until she had her revenge. Once she had become strong enough, she moved on from stealing food and beating up street punks to actual mercenary work. Today she wanders from place to place, taking on any job people will give her so long as it provides enough of a challenge for her.

How does this character sound when speaking(Dialect, voice, etc): Azure Heart's voice is much more refined and pleasant to listen to than Daphne's. She's much more soft spoken, but her poor grammar remains.
Character Personality: Azure Heart remains obsessed with strength, but it serves a purpose now as she uses her strength to inspire others. She's willing to lead others, but she's the sort of leader who takes point and charges ahead, letting her followers back her up. Though she's not as outright rude as Daphne, Azure Heart remains aloof and keeps interactions with others to a minimum, preferring to be a lofty goal that others strive for rather than be chummy with her followers.

CPU
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Name: Beli Odyss
Gender: Female
Appearance: Beli stands at the short height of 5'3", and weighs 100 lbs.
Image
How does this character sound when speaking: Soft deadpan tone of voice, with direct speech mannerisms. Lower pitched, but can become much higher at will.
Character Personality: Beli initially seems soft-spoken and awkwardly shy. Rarely does she socialize or interact with others, and whenever she does, she keeps her parts brief and to the point. This is less due to how she is and more her socially lacking upbringing; the true Beli is anything but as most see her. In truth, she's a violent and apathetic young woman—a harsh, brutally honest to the point of near tactlessness and cruelly focused pragmatist. Beli is a lone wolf who has only known one or two people she could call a friend and feel safe around, making her paranoid and distrustful of the vast majority. Kindness is alien to her, and she could not understand anyone without hidden ulterior motives.

That's why Beli treasures her few friends to a point of near blind faith. They helped lift that cloud of heavy loneliness, and they taught her values she never knew of. For those reasons, Beli is secretly always looking for any friends. Someone she could truly put her faith and trust in, and someone to make her feel value in living again. This desire to not want to be alone is her biggest weakness. She'd do many things for the chance at having a friend, and even more for those who are her friends, leaving her open to being taken advantage of as has happened times before.
Skills this character has: Sneaking, stealing, learning
Things this character is bad at: Extensive physical activity, leading, calming herself
A comprehensive backstory on your character: Beli was born as the daughter of a notorious gang's slave, and was raised by said gang to join her mother as one of their workers and playthings. She was shortly saved from this life at around the age of 5, when a rivaling gang got into it with her owners and the ensuing chaos killed all of them. Her mother was one of the many casualties, and she was left alone to fend for herself with no supervision or protection in a cold, selfish, cruel and poor world.

Needless to say, it was hard. She had lived her life on the streets with the other rats, working together with them only sometimes to the benefit of all parties, and sometimes even betraying or being betrayed by them in order to survive. She knew of little else other than this purposeless life. She lived because dying was scary, and for no other reason. 6 years past as she grew and learned, knowing of no sort of happiness other than brief fleeting satisfaction, and knowing of no meaning other than survival. This changed when a victim of her daily pick-pocketing chased her down and pinned her in an alleyway.

He was a young boy, not too much older than her, with sharp eyes mostly hidden behind a yellow visor and an impassive look that broke no feeling nor emotion. Her recently pilfered possessions were swiftly taken back, and then the boy merely dropped her to the floor. She was confused, but grateful for the sparing of her life. Most people would beat or kill a pickpocket they found, or sometimes, they'd make them pay for the goods... in other ways. Being spared was something so alien to her that she hadn't immediately left when she could, merely looking back at him with confusion. She'd asked the boy why he was letting her go, and...

"I could ask you why you're not running. Are you stupid and not realizing the chance, or would you rather I actually do something?" His response was sassy, with a wry smirk. It did remind her that, yes, he had a point, and she should really not be wasting this chance. But... something about this encounter was mystifying to her. He didn't seem so hostile, and... perhaps she was hoping for something out of it. Something Beli wouldn't know until years later. So she stayed, but she couldn't think of anything to say. So she stared, and noticed something that did give her something to say.

"Your glasses look stupid." Yes, those were her first words to her soon-to-be partner in crime. An insult of that magnitude was only met with a laugh from the boy. "Least I'm not digging in the trash for rats." And those were his first words. It was a remark that would be scathing to most, but Beli had only known the poor life for her time alive. It wasn't a point of shame for her—it was just normal. Then, the young boy leaned against the wall, and spoke to her again. "You're a good pickpocket. Good at running, too. I can tell you know these places well, but it's a shame you're wasting all of that by just surviving. Hey, you should work for me."

Beli learned later that his name was Ralph, and he was the son of a blacksmith who worked closely with The Inquisition. His family were great supporters of their overlords, and as reward for their loyalty and work, they were allowed to live a little more comfortably than most. Yet, Ralph was a particularly wild boy who opposed his family's allegiances. He remembered all the evils The Inquisition had committed, and wouldn't forgive either them nor his family for them. So he created a small team to start a rebellion.

They called themselves The Defiance. They were led by Ralph, and were really just a small scale gang that committed small crimes for the "greater good." Ralph had big ideas and dreams for his team, but they were composed of street rats like Beli, who knew of no higher purpose and simply cared about survival. And who could blame them? The Inquisition were the undisputed rulers of Gamindustri. Ralph was a kid who just hated his family's good connections, and he didn't know of the rough life of growing up in a harsh environment. Beli saw this as those others in The Defiance had, and she saw only an opportunity for survival. She would later come to realize all the more there was to it.

Though it started slow, the operations of The Defiance grew to a larger scale, directly targeting The Inquisition instead of affiliates. They were still mere woodpeckers pecking a great oak, but the time spent in the small rebellion taught Beli of various values. She grew closer to Ralph and the rest of the team, caring more for those other than herself and working to support Ralph's big dreams. She still couldn't care less for just what those dreams were though. Now, she only wanted to help a friend out.

8 years later, their enemy would finally notice them as Ralph always hoped. A few Inquisition squads were sent out to systematically crush them, and crush them they did. One by one, The Defiance's members were rooted out and destroyed, leaving only a few members alive, including Ralph and Beli. In these toughest of times for her, is where her story begins, in the last base of The Defiance. Ralph intended to make a last stand as The Inquisition marches closer, but Beli has no hope in that foolhardy plan, and she wants to escape with him.

Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Name: Sable Heart
Appearance: Image
How does this character sound when speaking: Louder and more commanding voice, but also very emotionless.
Character Personality: Sable Heart is an alien part of Beli she would know and not know. She is a commander; an emotionless tactician focused on completing whatever goal she has in mind. She is the self-proclaimed manifestation of destiny itself. She is a hard worker who isn't above any tactic, dirty or clean, to do her work. She sees herself less like a singular being, and more of a collective put into one form. Sable Heart is what she personally deems to be a true Goddess, and she is everything Beli is crossed with.

The two couldn't get along. Sable Heart cares for nothing but the mission at hand, and though Beli is also rather ruthlessly pragmatic, Sable Heart would even go as far as to sacrifice her closest allies to get the job done. She sees no value in the lives of others, and puts her tasks before her own life and said lives of others. In this way, she's more dangerous than Beli ever could be. She's the worst parts of Beli, with none of the humane features. She is simply a machine that looks to progression.
