So just to get this straight. Valdios is lawfull evil.

It still doesn't make sense, that he kills innocent civilians, who haven't done anything that would harm him, by riding through a town to get from one point to the other. If he is lawfully evil, he would kill those, who trespass the law, without caring about the law too much himself, meaning, he would consider taking innocent casualties to get a job done, but he wouldn't kill innocent people if it can be avoided.

For me, it looks like you're securing your char's back, so that any action, that would harm or kill him, or any action, that would leave him to his own doings, is basically wrong. This is not meant as an offense, it's just the impression I have. If I'm wrong with this impression, please correct me.
