Sounds nice :D can't wait

Btw, which program do you draw these in? I'd love to be able to colour stuff like you do. You probably use a tablet, right?

The concept for the finger bones already looks tons better, so I'd say go for that. I'm not sure what you don't like about your legs, but the only thing I noticed was that the back foot seemed to be at the wrong angle by a little bit. If you want to make her tail be able to move like that, you might need to place her tail a bit above her ass, like her coccyx is attached at a right angle to her spine. I hope that makes sense.

wow she looks great, I think you captured the tribal effect really well. if it were me I think I would have made her top a little more skimpy and torn but I think that's just a personal preference. oh but one thing that does bother me is her tail looks kinda like it's just coming out of her ass, I don't know if it's just me but I'd really suggest that you raise it up/back a little.
I animate and draw stuff! Check out my gallery if you wish.

I think little and cute is better than large and intimidating... well in some cases.

You have some serious talent there and I really hope to see some of your work in LOK.

I'm trying to say, if she goes only hunting the equips are fine, just like a normal tribal hunter.
However, she is a warrior which goes to war, that feather, bandages and bone-beads necklace won't do enough protection.
Armor surves two functions, protection(of course) and scare off your enemy. Using the bones and body parts of a powerful creature to built armor would serve the second function(besides tatoo also).
Do not use Avatar movie for reference, because they are newbies in war. They just do not have time for makeing armors, so they just wear what they are wearing and go to war.

I'm just trying to mean that. Besides, I think too much folds on the hand would make her looks old.
The new tail and tits looks a lot better. However, I think if the tail is pointed to ground like that, she is probably in a down mood. Think about pet cats and dogs, when they are happy, when they are angry, you can see their tail also acting out the emotion.

Covering her in heavy plate just wouldn't be hot. Besides, it seems like the males are the *Warriors* whereas the females could be more like scouts or rangers, with javelins or bows or whatever. Would suit their nimbler bodies and lesser stength lore-wise as well.

You need to know that the girl style heavy plate is always not covering the whole body(unless you don't want them hot). Why female can only be scouts or rangers? they are lizards, not human, even a female lizard are way more powerful than a human. They are somehow a kind of battle tribe, so why not? Besides that, no one saids covering her in heavy plate. We are talking about light armor, leather armor and bone armor.

You were talking about warriors, and no actual "warriors" would wear light leather armor.
2. You said armor was both for protection, and to scare off the enemy. Leather armor barely accomplishes one of those.
3: The males are usually the warriors because they are faster and stronger.

Girls, on the other hand, are usually more flexible and nimble, and so would suit the scout role perfectly.
Do you you think a lizard girl could beat a lizard guy without resorting to anything beyond brute strength?

If you mean warrior only needs brute strength, no, that is barbarian.
If you mean warrior only wears heavy plate, no, knights need heavy plate.
If you mean a "normal" leather armor can sacre off an enemy, no, some enhancement must be done(common sense).
If you mean usually the warriors are male, yes, usually but not always, so there should be female warriors.
If you mean girls are usually more flexible and nimble, yes, usually but not always, and there are also many female barbarians.
If you mean a lizard girl could beat a lizard guy without resorting to anything beyond brute strength, you are totally misunderstood what is needed to be a warrior.

What I suggest is, go home and play some more games, you will get what I mean.

Hm...games won't help here. Ancient Chinese books on military strategy and equipment will.

Re: Interface Design and Buttons

Postby Xananos » Thu Jun 17, 2010 4:34 pm

...Think of it this way, though. They are a tribal culture. Who is to say the females are treated as equals? They're already used as fuck slaves, so why should we assume that they are treated as equals in battle? And for the record, yes, females are more flexible and quicker, because they are built that way. A warrior can be either sex, but who's to say that the culture would allow the females to be warriors?

As far as the leather armor needing some enhancements to make it scary, she would end up looking like Ghost Rider or something, which would just be silly. Bone armor would be superior to leather anyway, for a warrior, because it's very light compared to leather (Skin is heavy!), and it is much stronger. Also, no stab wounds.

Well, different civilizations have different kinds of military strategies and equipments.
I am trying to mean that try not to stick so hard with what is "common", because that will kills your creativities. (We are sitting in a Creative Corner, so, be creative.)
