"Ah, that was you?" Elizabeth looks between the two of you, as Judith blushes slightly at the fact that she got the suit shredded... and likely covered in fluids. "Hm, let me see." Elizabeth begins to rummage through a bucket of spell crystals. "Ahah! Here we go." Elizabeth comes back with a large gauntlet of some kind. Loren vaguely recalls it, and it doesn't seem dangerous. Sliding it onto your hand, it doesn't seem to do much until you start feeding it mana, at which point your hand nearly doubles in weight causing your arm to twitch violently. It's very strange that this magic will affect you without your magical resistance even bothering it. The glove seems to not like you, but whatever effect it's causing is bypassing your magic defense.
"I was worried that you'd resist these spells too, but it seems the [fundamental field manipulation] spells still work on you." Elizabeth is very casual about the fact that she just found an entire branch of magic that seems to ignore your magic resistance. The phrase Elizabeth used means something to Loren though, it's something that only the Oracle seems to know fully, and playing with weight is about the only aspect that people use on a regular basis. Coming out of your bit of memory, Elizabeth is describing the limits of that type of spell, namely that it's really only viable for self contained systems like full body suits. Although they can build weapons that change weight depending on use, a full body effect requires a full body suit. Extending the [field manipulation] has such a massive mana and stress cost, I don't think anything has ever gotten more than say..." she holds her hands out, about shoulder width apart.
"Even so, I don't think the strength enhancement will work on him, and running yourself up to five times your normal body weight is... stressful." Judith adds in, likely having experimented with exact ratios of strength, weight, stone-skin, and thrust elements, which are the basic components of most of Amazon favored suits, Loren's memories inform you. They're popular with hunters as well, although only a few military units favor them, most preferring raw magical storage and versatile spells over the complex skillset involved in mastering that.
Judith likely knows that you're considerably stronger than a normal human, and you could continue moving at five times your body weight even if you'd be slowed down. The strength enhancement that the suit provides is not much better than your own, nor is the stone-skin better than your scales. How much of this you're willing to admit to Elizabeth and Judith, ensuring that it will find its way back to Theresa and her inner circle, is up to you.
At your suggestion of firing off the magical spells in sequence, Elizabeth grins at you. "I thought of that as well! But first, we need to test it, the scale disrupts the magic within the crystal as well, so we need to figure out exactly how much so we can plan the spell shape around it. Are you going to be helping me?" She seems eager to have someone who knows about magic talk to her.
Spoiler (click to show/hide):
Sorry, I never explained it, but you've got the gist of it. They're popular because of the fact that they're very good sneak weapons, but you have to be damned good with it because you can't guide it or adjust your fire except where it hits. As a result, hunters tend to use them, and very occasionally the military will, but most people don't like them.
Did he get a tailored suit? I thought it was a basic vest and pants tweaked so that it didn't have any healing or boosting spells, I figured you'd want something nice and tight for when Loren shows up. Not that she won't look good in a revealing vest showing off her cleavage.
Also, I know I'm getting into a lot of magic that bypasses your magic defense, but it's part of the way the locals were bred to fight a specific enemy.
