(This is my second attempt at this particular type or rp, so if anyone has any suggestions/critiques, I'm open to them.)

Congratulations, you have been accepted to the school of Eden! You, and others who share your particular situation have been invited to come out to our campus to hone your talents, and explore the potentials of your skills!

What follows this letter is a brochure for what looks like a normal college, and more. It is placed near a small town in the middle of Michigan, nestled in-between a forest covered mountain and a lake. You're not even 100% sure how this letter came to you, you don't remember applying to this school. However, reading between the lines and talking with those close to you, you decide that it is your best choice for the future.

This game will be based on a d100 percentage system, as well as a difficulty scale. Doing a skill you are familiar with (i.e talking with someone you know or is neutral to you) would be charisma x10. Doing something difficult for you (i.e trying to assemble a gun for the first time) would be intelligence x5. Powers you have can augment these scores based on use and role play.
Example: You used your fire powers to beat up a group of bad guys, and make a show of your power to intimidate one into revealing information. That would go from difficult (x5) to simple (x10) for your charisma roll. I may also impose smaller penalties based on role play and situation. Example: You are taking a test that you have not studied for. Most people know how to take tests by this time (x10), but you have not studied in a while, therefore I would impose a -20 to the roll.

Your powers will allow you to do something others cannot, so they will usually augment your stats and depend on stats. All powers should have both a positive for using them, as well as a drawback. Powers have levels, showing how adapt you are at handling them. All powers start at lvl 1.
Example: You use your fire-controlling powers to lob a ball of fire at a target. It would be dex x 10 to hit, and a wis x 10 to make sure you maintain control.
However, through how you most use your powers, you can either make your power stronger (Lvl up), or generate a supplementary power (A new lvl 1 power).
Example 1 (Growth): Your level 1 telekinesis (+1 to int, wis to maintain) grows into level 2 (+2 to int). This may allow you to use your power for more precise control (Reduces penalty if any for manipulating a small object at range).
Example 2 (Generation): You use your super strength (+1 to strength, con to use) to break down a wall. You may fail and hurt yourself more often than you like, therefore your body generates a healing factor (+1/3 con modifier of healing, 1/2 con number of times per day).

Please let me know if you think any of the mechanics should be revised/changed, and how. I will be working on a level up system as well, so any constructive input is appreciated.

Bio: Cairi grew up in the same town and attended the same high school as Aileas. Despite their personalities being practically the opposite, as well as Cairi coming from a middle class family, they ended up being quite supportive to one another and quickly became close friends. This friendship was only strengthened when both of them gained their powers in sophomore year. Cairi struggled heavily with depression and social anxiety, being quite the stereotypical outcast, making her relationship with Aileas being all the more abnormal. However, it was thanks to Aileas that Cairi never attempted suicide, and managed to view life in a slightly more positive light. She does still struggle however. As for her home life, her parents aren't exactly the greatest. They aren't abusive but they have one of those 'these damn kids and there phones, and hard work solves everything' mentality. They find Cairi to be incredibly lazy and only wishes for attention when talking about her depression. This causes her to mostly seclude herself from her parents while at home. By the time she got the letter about the college, she was working part-time in a bookstore and was only days away from getting kicked out of her home. It was quite the life-saver all things considered, only made better when she found out Aileas also received the same letter.

Personality: Cairi is a very reserved and timid person. Having social anxiety, she does her best to avoid others and doesn't exactly go out of her way to become noticed. However, this does not render her incapable of gaining friends or talking to others, and once she feels comfortable around another she tends to open up quite a bit, becoming more excitable and overall friendly. She also has depression, but this has recently lessened thanks to her friendship with Aileas and the advent of her powers. She does still have depressive episodes, but she feels like she has worth now. She is fairly smart as well, getting a 3.4GPA in high school.

Bio: Aileas was born to a very poor family, in the wrong part of town, working as a runner for drug dealers when she was 9 years old. While Cairi was fully aware of her activities up to this point, she could only plead for Aileas to get out of it while she could, not thinking there was anything else she could do being unaware of her powers. After the final shoot-out though, Cairi did manage to convince Aileas to get off drugs and at least attempt to turn her life around. Having grown up in the same town and attended the same highschool as Cairi, they are extremely close friends, nearly inseparable, despite having practically opposite personalities. This extremely strong friendship was only further strengthened when the two of them learned of their innate latent abilities in their sophomore year. As for Aileas' family, her father has been in the hospital for years as a result of falling down some stairs, she barely knows him. Aileas' mother is dead, due to falling asleep in a tub of Ice Cream after a bout of depression, resulting in her drowning. Aileas' sister is rarely home, as a result of turning to prostitution to pay the bills, and her brother, who is usually at home, repeatedly raped her nightly until he ended up being sent to boarding school.

Personality: Aileas is egotistical, rude, outspoken, and an attention-seeker, above all else. She views herself as above all others, and if she believes that someone isn't aware of this, she will harass and bully that person relentlessly to make them aware of that "fact". The one exception to this rule is Cairi, who she will go out of her way to protect at all costs, and who she views as the only person she can freely associate with on an equal level. She also views Cairi as the cutest person in existence, and loves to see her smile, desiring this to such an extent that she tries to spend every moment that she can with her.

Bio: Reylena didn't discover her powers until recently, as one would hopefully do when finding out you can't die. It started with a car accident, the kind you know no one is walking away from, but Reylena did. The accident was just another accident, slippery roads, an exhausted truck driver trying to deliver his chemical load in time to see his own family... and her parents car. The paper's said it was a miracle, that she must have been thrown clear of the wreck and fire that consumed everything else, Reylena doesn't care to remember much. The doctor's said the chemical's in the tanker bleached her hair and it was just burst blood vessels in that caused her eyes to go red, it would go back to normal in time. But it didn't, her hair colour didn't come back, her hair didn't grow at all.

Constantly reminded of her loss every time she looked in the mirror or was mocked by someone at school or on the street for the way she looked, she decided to end it one Friday night.... and spent the weekend hanging from a noose until the rope finally broke free. Doing some research she found a place with other's who were 'different', like she was, and packed her bags.

Bio: Ada was a girl that almost always had a few friends around even if the friend might sometimes be a local stray; she just always seemed to attract some attention to herself. When she was 17, things became a little strange when she was hanging out at the park eating her lunch. Seeing a stray cat, she tossed it a bit of chicken from her sandwich, and when it approached, she pet it. Her head spun as she fell to the ground only for her vision to clear as she looked at herself. In confusion, she looked about to realize she was the cat. It took some time, but she eventually returned to her body and ran home. Telling no one of what had happened, she simply tried not to think about the incident, but it kept nagging at the back of her mind until she noticed a few birds outside her window. Opening the window, she reached out to one and soon found herself inside of it testing out the body to soar for the first time. It was only two months later that she received a mysterious letter. It confused her grandmother, who'd raised her most of her life, with how vague it was about her situation and Ada hadn't applied to any schools yet, but the promise of improving her newfound talent was too much to resist, and she couldn't help but accept the invitation.

For her powers, I was thinking she'd be restricted to possessing animals until she's gained some levels, but she could possess humans once she's grown. She would use her host's physical attributes perhaps with a penalty if she doesn't make a good Cha check to prevent her host from struggling against her. I was also thinking she might need to make a Wis check with difficulty based on how long she was in another's body. If she fails, she gains some mental or physical characteristic of the host. Her face pressing out into an animal snout, or she spends the next night with an urge to howl at the moon. If she possessed a human, she might get a streak in her hair that matches their color or get their appetite.

Bio: Penny came from a fairly well- off family. While she wasn't the best at anything in particular, she did try her best to endure and climb her way towards the top few. While that alone made her a person of admiration and envy among her peers, it didn't particularly help that her mother was very pretty, and as she grew older, she began to resemble her more and more, especially where it counted as far as boys were concerned. She tried to laugh or brush it off as much as she could, until one day, she simply wished that she could vanish from their sights.

She was 15 when that wish came true, when she manifested her power. It was a particularly harrowing day of trying to avoid people, when suddenly, no one knew where she was. She hadn't moved, or spoken, but to them, she was gone. She couldn't control her power well to begin with, but as the years wore on, she began to start to gain an understanding of how to trigger her power and when to keep it off. When the letter came, she didn't have a choice but to go. Nothing and nowhere else had even begun to describe what she was going through, but maybe this school could.

Her father had made sure Bristol knew this when she was ready, and he'd often spend days teaching her how to fight and defend herself, as well as how to stay under the radar. The last lesson was especially focused on for Bristol, as at a young age, her father had discovered that she had powers.

Her father caught her playing UNO with a clone of herself, and after freaking out over it, he had his daughter promise to never tell anyone, knowing that anyone who'd hear of this would want to use her for their own purposes. Of course, this ability was still a useful weapon in the dangerous world they lived in, so he did his best to teach her how to wield it as a weapon. She was able to clone herself 3 times at the age of 13, and knew enough about fighting to make each one at least a mildly dangerous foe to even high school seniors. Each of her clones also had similar characteristics and personality to her, though it was found that they would all be produced with varying behavior quirks.

As she grew up and was taught by her father, Bristol developed into a strong and protective figure. She'd get into fights with bullies when she saw them, and sometimes even impede small crimes in a minor way. She knew that any more than that wouldn't be taken well by the streets, and she knew she had to keep a low profile... but Bristol couldn't help that instinctive need to punch a bad guy in the face. That's when she started her vigilante activities. Bristol would put on a mask, and together with her clones, she'd find and stop small crimes in progress. She quickly made a reputation for herself. That's when it went wrong.

Unbeknownst to her, Bristol caught the attention of a big gang in the neighborhood called the Deads. She roughed up a few of their men and they wanted her out for it, so they laid a trap, and she unwittingly sprung it. The original idea was to kill her, but when they discovered that she was a girl (with powers no less), they kept her around. She spent months under the captivity of careless, brutal gangsters who were living a little too large. In captivity, Bristol was abused, used, and mentally worn down until—after she was saved when the law caught up to the gang—that need for justice was almost totally crushed and replaced by a traumatized, bitter young woman. To this day, she's still not recovered her want for justice.

A few years later, Bristol would receive a letter to a strange college called Eden. While initially dismissive of it, her curiosity over the letter's wording would push her into going at least just to see what the hell was happening there.

The kidnappers attacked Eliza and her friends holding them hostage, but when the situation started to become out of hand and the kidnappers attempted to rape her, but Eliza let out a scream for them to stop suddenly a massive wave of water crashed down on the would-be rapist knocking him out. Upon hearing the scream and the crazy change in power the kidnappers gave up running away as people came to investigate. The would-be rapist was immediately arrested confessing that a rival company put out the hit on the Copperfield family. From there Eliza would private experiment with what she felt ran through her blood. creating little rain clouds in thin air and throwing balls of water around. Soon she learned that certain gestures and movements allowed her to control the water more precisely learning that she'd take up martial arts to further improve her powers. Until one day she received a curious little pamphlet to a school. she was well beyond education but she new this was to be for something more.

Once they were on to her game, Jennifer was sent from therapist to therapist, but she apparently inherited some talent for acting from her parents and was able to fool them all. Her powers awakened in her teen years, an opportune time as the paparazzi were just starting to get on her nerves. Jennifer's first illusions were simply changing her appearance so she could go where she pleased without being stalked and it only escalated from there. She conjured fake id's to get her into bars and clubs among other things and eventually her love of deception had her performing magic shows on the streets and gathering crowds of adoring people. When she received her letter from the college she almost wrote it off as a prank, but her curiosity at meeting others with abilities and seeing how well she could deceive them as well drove her to go regardless. Her family was wealthy enough that tuition was no problem regardless of where she went and her parents had long since stopped caring what Jennifer did with her life.

Of course, Jennifer would never tell anyone any of this. Her past changes based on her mood and who she's talking to, and often she'll use her illusions to change her appearance slightly, shifting small details like hair and eye color and certain facial features. She's impulsive and mischievous, telling lies for no reason at all more often than not and uses her powers to pull pranks more often than anything people might consider actually helpful.

Miraculously, she stopped it with her mind. That’s when the migraines started. At first they were just quick bouts of pain followed by soreness. But time went on the pain became more and more unbearable. Doctors could see changes in Abigail’s brain but couldn’t find a way to alleviate the pain.

Abigail became more reclusive over time. She stopped hanging out with friends or participating in clubs. She became more irritable and even snapped at her parents from time to time. The migraines would always be the worst after she tried to use her Telekinesis. It was during a high school party that Abigail discovered a ‘cure’ for her migraines, alcohol. After she got completely wasted, Abigail found that the pain in her skull was gone. She could even use her powers without much agony. From that day, Abigail kept a flask in her bag to drink from. What was in it varied depending on the day.

But maintaining a constant state of drunkenness has its drawbacks. Abigail would often get into fights and miss classes. She was suspended multiple times and was barely able to graduate due to the goodwill she had amassed with some of the staff. When her parents and former friends staged an intervention for Abigail, Now 18, she left home and stayed with an older man she was seeing. For two years, she stayed in an apartment he rented drinking herself into a stupor. Sometime he would come over, but it would only be for sex. Then one day, he stopped coming to see her and Abigail had to suddenly start paying rent. With her drinking problem, Abigail could rarely keep a job for long. Drifting from paycheck to paycheck, it seemed as though Abigail’s life had hit rock bottom when a letter arrived for her….

Speed would most likely be determined by dexterity for quick bursts, while running for a long time would slip into constitution. For the most part, everyone who is not a speedster would move at the same pace. However, if it is something that we would like to add, I would use the dexterity to calculate it in a similar way to how hp is calculated.

I have an idea of how to work your power, but I want to make sure we have a similar idea.
Ill have it's use be based on your intelligence (Need to know how biologicals work to manipulate them). Also, you have to be in physical contact with them to use it as this level.
As the power is level 1, what it will do is: allow you to temporarily boost 1 stat for a short period of time. As you get to higher skill with it, you will be able to augment what it biologically possible (Such as making a girl grow a dick), but not at base.

How much damage you can absorb will be based on your constitution, and unleashing your power will be based on wisdom (I treat wisdom as 'life learned experience', as opposed to intelligence being book smarts. So, your releasing of power is instinctual).
However, absorbing damage that another person would suffer would be harder on you. So, either I would like to push this power to a later level, or make it so you using it on another person makes the damage you absorb a higher amount (2x the amount or something similar). You would also need to touch another person to absorb the energy (Maybe a wall of force or projected area of null force is something we can work out as your skill increases).

Also, so you're both aware, your powers can backlash pretty badly. Messing up someone's biologicals can cripple them or outright kill them if used incorrectly (or correctly in some cases). If you absorb too much kinetic energy, it could release in a way that would hurt yourself.

Being based on int and needing physical contact on others works for me, I was already planning on the latter. Also yea, biological manipulation lends itself to being more of a change to suit the situation type power, so boosting a certain stat sounds reasonable to start out with. The fun thing about this power is it has a very high power cap and can do a lot of things, from making a chick with a dick to vaporizing someone by breaking them down on the cellular level or taking complete control of their body. Anyway, all of that sounds good to me.

Bio: Reylena didn't discover her powers until recently, as one would hopefully do when finding out you can't die. It started with a car accident, the kind you know no one is walking away from, but Reylena did. The accident was just another accident, slippery roads, an exhausted truck driver trying to deliver his chemical load in time to see his own family... and her parents car. The paper's said it was a miracle, that she must have been thrown clear of the wreck and fire that consumed everything else, Reylena doesn't care to remember much. The doctor's said the chemical's in the tanker bleached her hair and it was just burst blood vessels in that caused her eyes to go red, it would go back to normal in time. But it didn't, her hair colour didn't come back, her hair didn't grow at all.

Constantly reminded of her loss every time she looked in the mirror or was mocked by someone at school or on the street for the way she looked, she decided to end it one Friday night.... and spent the weekend hanging from a noose until the rope finally broke free. Doing some research she found a place with other's who were 'different', like she was, and packed her bags.

When she was 17, things became a little strange when she was hanging out at the park eating her lunch. Seeing a stray cat, she tossed it a bit of chicken from her sandwich, and when it approached, she pet it. Her head spun as she fell to the ground only for her vision to clear as she looked at herself. In confusion, she looked about to realize she was the cat. It took some time, but she eventually returned to her body and ran home. Telling no one of what had happened, she simply tried not to think about the incident, but it kept nagging at the back of her mind until she noticed a few birds outside her window. Opening the window, she reached out to one and soon found herself inside of it testing out the body to soar for the first time. It was only two months later that she received a mysterious letter. It confused her grandmother, who'd raised her most of her life, with how vague it was about her situation and Ada hadn't applied to any schools yet, but the promise of improving her newfound talent was too much to resist, and she couldn't help but accept the invitation.

For her powers, I was thinking she'd be restricted to possessing animals until she's gained some levels, but she could possess humans once she's grown. She would use her host's physical attributes perhaps with a penalty if she doesn't make a good Cha check to prevent her host from struggling against her. I was also thinking she might need to make a Wis check with difficulty based on how long she was in another's body. If she fails, she gains some mental or physical characteristic of the host. Her face pressing out into an animal snout, or she spends the next night with an urge to howl at the moon. If she possessed a human, she might get a streak in her hair that matches their color or get their appetite.

Okay, so lets work on your power idea.
The idea of 'invulnerability' as I know it means 'you are unable to be hurt', which is a very strong low level ability.
So, I am okay with the regeneration, but the Invulnerability will have to be tweaked. Either I would like to change it to a damage reduction ability (similar to the kinetic absorption), or immunity to a specific damage type (such as fire, bludgeoning, etc).

Okay, i'm fine with the limitation (and drawback) of your power that you described. I would say that you would need to use your charisma to befriend a animal, or else it would make a difficult challenge. It would also be difficult to posses a animal that is already hostile towards you.
The drawback for failing to posses a animal will probably be something minor like a migraine, but possessing something successfully and failing a wisdom check would result in some interesting compulsions (like a craving for different kinds of food, or not feeling comfortable in clothing). You would NEED to complete the compulsion, else you would not be able to focus on other tasks.

I think that sounds fine, though doubled damage may be a bit much. I'd probably shoot for 1.25 or 1.5 instead. If you think doubled damage is fair, though, I'll just take that over getting the ability later. Overall, I have no other problem with your assessment, especially the last section, that was expected in the first place since screwing up when using Kinetic Force can either strain your body or backfire on you.

I'm also intending to grab a second ability as soon as I can, since I was having difficulty deciding which I wanted. I'll PM the concept to you.

Okay, invisibility is very straight forward, so I don't have too much to say as far as what it does, just how long you can maintain it/what you cant turn invisible.
As of right now, invisibility would just make it so people can't see you (baring infrared and such), and it doesn't make you silent or not emit smell. Later upgrades can obscure you from other senses as well.
I'm just not sure which stat I would like to use to determine how you use your power (Wisdom cause it would be innate, intelligence for concentration, etc).

Bristol Patch was born in a rough neighborhood, one that hardened and changed her. She was raised by her single father after her mother's death. Growing up in her neighborhood was harsh. To live, you had to have a dangerous mentality and be willing to fight, or else you'd be taken advantage of in any number of ways. Her father had made sure Bristol knew this when she was ready, and he'd often spend days teaching her how to fight and defend herself, as well as how to stay under the radar. The last lesson was especially focused on for Bristol, as at a young age, her father had discovered that she had powers.

Her father caught her playing UNO with a clone of herself, and after freaking out over it, he had his daughter promise to never tell anyone, knowing that anyone who'd hear of this would want to use her for their own purposes. Of course, this ability was still a useful weapon in the dangerous world they lived in, so he did his best to teach her how to wield it as a weapon. She was able to clone herself 3 times at the age of 13, and knew enough about fighting to make each one at least a mildly dangerous foe to even high school seniors. Each of her clones also had similar characteristics and personality to her, though it was found that they would all be produced with varying behavior quirks.

As she grew up and was taught by her father, Bristol developed into a strong and protective figure. She'd get into fights with bullies when she saw them, and sometimes even impede small crimes in a minor way. She knew that any more than that wouldn't be taken well by the streets, and she knew she had to keep a low profile... but Bristol couldn't help that instinctive need to punch a bad guy in the face. That's when she started her vigilante activities. Bristol would put on a mask, and together with her clones, she'd find and stop small crimes in progress. She quickly made a reputation for herself. That's when it went wrong.

Unbeknownst to her, Bristol caught the attention of a big gang in the neighborhood called the Deads. She roughed up a few of their men and they wanted her out for it, so they laid a trap, and she unwittingly sprung it. The original idea was to kill her, but when they discovered that she was a girl (with powers no less), they kept her around. She spent months under the captivity of careless, brutal gangsters who were living a little too large. In captivity, Bristol was abused, used, and mentally worn down until—after she was saved when the law caught up to the gang—that need for justice was almost totally crushed and replaced by a traumatized, bitter young woman. To this day, she's still not recovered her want for justice.

A few years later, Bristol would receive a letter to a strange college called Eden. While initially dismissive of it, her curiosity over the letter's wording would push her into going at least just to see what the hell was happening there.
