Anya laughs weakly as Arienne explains Alicias transference of magic. 'So thats how she hid the Rite. She disguised it within herself as a transference ritual. Albert thought it could be done, but my scholars all said it was too difficult. Damn you Alicia.... do you know what you've done.'
Looking more at the marks, Anya shrugs at Ariennes statement about what she had to do to get them. 'Eh, nothing that surprises me. You're pretty much a giant man slut Archie, and I fully expect you to be the same when you're a woman. Truth be told, I've come to appreciate the supplications I get to enjoy as High Priestess as well... gathering power from the most devoted worshippers so my milk can empower the priestesses is quite fun, as I've come to realize. Sending out visions as well.... somethings very different here, these are new magics that we never had here in Vigothia... this bears investigation.'
When Archibald reveals who the Grandmaster is, Anya falls down to the floor. 'Oh. Oh no. Oh that explains so much,' she mutters unhappily. 'The formal rites of marriage binding an Alric to their partner means our blood treats their blood as their own. Its what allows proper Alric children to be born from such a union, as opposed to the inert sentinels that are the basis of Hedonias compact with us.
'Alina may not be married to father, but she is of the exact same blood as mother. Aunt Alina can bear a new line of Alrics if she so chooses, creating a new family line with more of the requirements for a Singularity to be formed. Alina will bear a new Sourcerer, one who can form a Singularity to open a true rift to the demonic planes. Yet I still don't know why she would want to do so...'
Anya shakes her head and fixes Arienne with a piercing glare. 'Well. Whatever it is, we have a few tasks now. I have only about twenty Inquisitors with me, with perhaps another four hundred scattered around Vigothia. Alicia and her paladins number around two hundred and fifty wherever they are. The nobles must have escaped with their armies intact, but rallying them around a single banner would be difficult. In total that would be perhaps forty thousand soldiers, many of whom would probably be in various slave pits. Finally there are the Sentinels... I don't know why Alina was able to destroy the main Sentinel army, but it may be due to the close relationship she had with Anton before her disappearance. There are probably another hundred and fifty thousand sentinels scattered in depots all around Vigothia.
'Our task now is to determine whether we start an active war against Alina and her horde here, or if we want to smuggle you out to Albert and see what additional magic he may know of. One of us has to stay and fight, starting with these forces here, but the other will have to find Albert. What would you think you'd rather do... or do you have another idea?'
Spoiler (click to show/hide):
ok, so heres how the game goes from this point forth:
Army strength:
Inquisitors: 3 points
Paladins: 5 points
Soldiers: 2 points
Sentinels: 1 point
Now it'll be an issue to raise an army and fight the horde from within Vigothia. You can either do this semi strategy type game, or you can do a standard pure RPG in the quest for Albert
