i sat down and eat for a while, wondering if Arran was up already, i haven't seen Davin in a while now, wasn't worried at all actually, i just relaxed a bit while eating.

after a few minutes Arran came over, "hey, so ready for battle?" he asks with a smile as he sits with you , " Davin and the fleet should be there as planned, I got word from them last night" he tells you

"As ready as i could be" i added right after letting out a sigh "good to hear that, my friend..." i finished eating my food and stretched my arms and legs before looking at my comrade "i have news...yesterday, i was visited by an Assassin..."

" as in there was an attempt on your life?" he asks seeming alarmed "are you okay, where are they now, did they injure you at all?"

"yes, my friend, and as you might see, i am doing just fine...i like diplomatic approachs, i convinced HER she could get better rewards if she worked for me, then i gave her a mission and left...and no...as much as i wanted, i didn't fuck her..." i added with a dissapointed tone of voice but added a chuckle afterwards "what about the soldiers? are they ready to march?"

" don't you think that's a little dangerous? what if she changes her mind?" he asks sounding concerned, " or she's just buying herself time for another attempt..... well anyway, the soldiers are ready when you are" he tells you

"i don't think so, i gave her a deal she coudn't refuse...or at least i hope so...come on now, don't give me second thoughts, in any case, just tell the guards to keep an eye open" i added with a smile "so...are we ready to go?"

he nods " yeah, we're ready," he tells you with a smile " this is really it huh? assault on the capital, so tonight, we'll be dinning in the palace" he tells you with a smile

"and they'll be dinning in hell, my friend." i assured before heading towards my horse as the camp was being removed and picked up, i waited until everyone was ready before giving the order to march towards the capital.

he nods and soon enough everything was ready to move and he was upfront with you ready to lead the charge

"how long will it take until we reach the city?" i asked Arran as our army moved.

" not long about an hour" he tells you, " we'll have about half an hour after that, before the ships arrive" he adds

"didn't i send a team to infiltrate the city through the sewers?" i added while raising an eyebrow "i forgot."

he nods " I believe you did yes, again they'll be in position when we start the attack" he tells you

"An inside attack, an outside Attack, and a Naval attack...and if my guts were right about that assassin...the Emperor will think we are not going to attack...we have all the odds to win this..." i added as we ride through the road towards the capital.

he nods " lets just hope the gods are on our side too" he tells you with a smile " though with such a northerner at our lead, how could they not be" he says with a grin

"Don't talk about heavens and gods please...it reminds me that i'll never fuck an angel or a goddess..." i added with a chuckle.

he chuckles " there is plenty of time for that yet" he tells you

"Why would an angel or a goddess appear in front of me just for the sake of fucking?" i laughed at that and pat his back.
