Hello all! Hoping to bring my game over to this community to try to get some more attention and share it with a bigger audience.

I hope this is allowed here, I know text-based games are not as flashy as some of the other content produced, but writing is my skill and inform is the only program I've (barely) managed to learn how to code within.




Vixen Ventures [Development on Hiatus] - an erotic text-based puzzle game. Due to its reception and the time it takes to come up with puzzles and different npcs and other things for the player to do within the semi-open world I'm not sure how much I'll work on it in the future, but it currently has tons of features and scenes. I'll also likely still add content occasionally.

Erotic Furry Fighting Game [Active Development] - an erotic text-based fighting game; with the focus being on end-game sex scenes. I'm currently looking for feedback on balance for the combat system and feature suggestions (within reason), though slots are open for people to reserve if you are willing to pay.

Currently you can expect updates once a month, the last Wednesday of every month unless stated otherwise or until I reach a stage of development to where monthly updates are not viable. An example would be once all the basic bugs and features for the as of yet named text-based fighting game I will only be able to upload it as characters, campaigns, or scenes are added - generally I'd plan on adding characters all at once unless commissions or people ask for wip updates.

A really interesting idea, but it seems a bit rough. A lot of the links don't seem to work and some of the puzzles don't have clear answers or a direction. Twice I somehow broke the puzzle I was working on because weird things seem to happen if you fail a puzzle and then try to do it again. I distinctly remember an instance where I went to a location and couldn't move from my spot so had to go back, and how I practically got trapped in the mall because the option to go "back" kept getting confused. From how it is described, it sounds like the game has a lot of depth, but it is difficult to get to any of it. I'm not against a game having hard puzzles, but it felt like I was just stumbling around because I didn't know what to do.

And seriously, some of the links and object interactions won't work or show up properly. Found a statue that had a link saying "ride statue" but it wouldn't recognize anything past the word "ride," even with the link posted in the text. I tried a bunch of manual permutations and still couldn't get it to work. Some objects would be listed in the menu as a link, only to say you can't interact with it for no apparent reason and in one location I got lost because the listed directions posted in the "look" text of an area didn't actually give all the directions you could go, so I had to keep spamming the "exits" command just to find my way around.

Hey Kera, I appreciate the reply - bug reports are things I take note of, but its hard to sift through almost 100+ lines of code when you are not good at coding. If you could give me a screenshot of which puzzles break, and the logs from when they break (actions taken beforehand) as well as any places where you feel the room's descriptions and native hyperlinked exists work inappropriately I would very much appreciate it.

I tried to make the puzzles progressively more challenging, though it is true that if they don't work or reset properly then they become impossible rather than hard - and I definitely don't want to make the dark souls of porn puzzle games here. That is a bit too ambitious for what I have planned.

The issue with the statue is something I would fix. The issue in inform is that due to the way it works and my lack of knowledge in coding I have to make custom actions for almost everything you do in the game, and then tell the game that certain text translates to a certain other action - sometimes I don't parse these points correctly. I'll take another look and try to have it fixed in the next update, which may just end up being bug-fixes considering most of the content I've worked hard to add doesn't even seem to be accessible!

I added a new game and updated the one already there (vixen ventures) - the new game is, as the it says in the op - a fighting game!


I'm looking for feature feedback since its in alpha now, but I'm also looking for anyone who wants to pay for have their characters, or in fact a specific character, in the game - I won't post the details here since its long winded though feel free to note me! ^.^

Hmm. Seeing what I've seen so far, perhaps wait a small bit longer before asking people to pay for a character they want. Also, I see a small amount of spelling errors as well. Always double check those. :D

Thanks Zodiark, I'll have those fixed for the next version.

As for asking people to buy characters, I figured I would mention it here as well since the other sites I am on there are people that would know my work well enough to want to buy a slot even after just seeing a concept demo. I would've linked those sites as well but its mostly erotic fiction of the not so interactive variant...though I suppose its also technically not flash.

Put a cork in it Mina, think Lapsa's asking for characters that are known, like Samus and Peach and people like that

The danger of asking people to buy characters early is you are then obligated to follow through with it. That's no problem if you intend to complete it, but lots of devs start something then lose interest (the number of completed games VS incomplete/abandoned games is like 1:8) so please make sure that you have the drive and will to follow through when asking for people to buy characters.

Either are fine; known or ocs - I'd actually prefer original characters due to the fact that occasionally a few of those big name companies will get rather miffed at erotic fiction of their franchise and I've always erred on the side of caution in that regard. I remember a few months back Hasbro cracked down hard on fan fiction sort of stuff.

As for buying, I appreciate the advice. I am well aware of how to conduct commissions and that a monetary exchange for a good or service entails getting said good or service. You can rest assured that, as I have done several commissions in the past, I will have the integrity to finish any commission I take on. As it stands now, yes people would be putting their character or a character into a game with little content, but each character adds more content and more complexities to deal with; which is why I'd like suggestions for features early to ensure I can provide as many people as possible with a quality game.

Had to wait for the edit to be approved - but here is an update. I added a few mechanics, a 'pass' option for turns and a few new scenes. I'm currently thinking of which status effects to add. Grapple and something akin to 'in heat' are all I have so far. In the next update I'm going to try to add a male character to have a one of each sort of deal.

I have a few questions for you Lapsa; in regards to management of your patreon. Was there a time you did not use patreon for these games? and if so, do you find more communal success now that you use it? I ask because I'm beginning to do something similar, but I've always had an aversion to asking people for money. If anyone else wanted to comment on this I'd be happy to hear your thoughts as well.

Hey! There was a time I didn't use patreon, though I had only developed one game at a time (I both write erotic stories and make these games) and it was more of a proof of concept for learning how to code. I found that by and large people were deterred from contributing due to various reasons. I find with patreon and ko-fi they are much more willing to donate, though even still I'm working on getting up there enough to have a sizable income from it.

I'd just start small and remember that ko-fi and patreon are really really wishy-washy as to what they will actually host on their service. By and large you'll want to keep erotic things indirectly linked.

Certainly, and thank you for answering my questions. I, in particular, won't be using Patreon in the near future, but if I decide to down the line I'll remember your words. Now that you've answered my questions it'd probably be polite for me to view and review your work.

My Review:
The fighting game: I like the presentation, which is clean and comfortable. I chose Artica Sparkle and proceeded spam Ice Magic until I absolutely decimated Club Suit. This was satisfying. The ending that followed was highly adequate, and this is when I came... to appreciate your writing style. My critic of this work; definitely include some "Clear the screen" type code for optimizing organizational potential.

The puzzle game: I go to the unfinished pyramid thinking it might be an unfinished part of the game, only to find out that it's simply titled so. I was pleased. I was not pleased, however, when I got absolutely lost. Not in the game, in the text. As I played it was getting increasingly difficult to understand what was going on from the sheer amount of text on screen. I grabbed all the orbs and fled out of fear and confusion. I found the shopping area outside the lab and felt a bit more comfortable, until I found out there was nothing functional there, and I fled there too in search of a thing to do. The museum; Of course! Perhaps I could sell my orbs to the staff there. He does think that they're interesting, but I can't sell them. I will attribute that to the game needing the orbs for a particular puzzle. I leave and-"OH SHIT IS THAT A STRIP CLUB MA BOI!?"... [And that was the story of how I farmed millions on a pole]. In all seriousness, If I ever run out of money I could probably return to that area for a refill. It's no secret where I spent that cash, my friend. Next door I go. Herbalist? DANK... and then I reel back, seeing how there is no purchasable "items". Screw this I'm going to Antarctica. Bad choice; I got stuck and couldn't leave the Antarctica base. Playing this game was a much different experience than the previous one, and so I thought it deserved a little more... personality.

I appreciate the reviews, unfortunately as of now I don't know how to use a clear screen command in inform or any of the other text tricks such as making lists - I do hope to learn in the future and hopefully that'll help with navigation. I'll try to think of some work-around in the future, the next update as I said is going to be focused on finishing up the level system and a basic status effect.

Onto the puzzle game; its something that I kind of abandoned due to lack of support and the sheer amount of time that went into puzzles. Puzzle crafting is rather hard, especially when taking into account scaling difficulty, uniqueness, and how 'universal' it is. I had planned a lot, such as 'punishments' for using the strip club too often and more bad endings or regular endings for certain characters, and if I ever can a good base for my games I hope to return to that and the first game I ever tried to make.

And update released!
A big milestone to finally hit Beta, changes below:

- Level system implemented! (need feedback on balance before raising it above level 2 to avoid a lot of wasted effort)

- Fixed a ton of bugs that prevented scenes from working correctly or firing at all

- Added in two new characters (one is an unlockable alt for Kristen and the other is Krystal) with one new scene each.

- Added in an 'Arcade Mode' for Kristen, more soon to come

- Suggestions and feedback on combat appreciated. Also need input on if I should add a possibility for secondary special attacks or keep it at one.

Kristen's arcade mode is literally impossible to clear. It will not allow me to "claim victory" when I beat the first opponent of stage 3. When I go back and start Bonus Stage 1, and I can declare myself automatic winner the command it glitches to display.

Thanks! It looks like I misspelled something in the code which caused major malfuctions. Hopefully both should be fixed now. I suspect the misspell caused some piece of the code somewhere else to not fire as well making it always think the player had won!

The "lose" flag also remains active if you quit a battle before accepting defeat, usually due to the Stage 3 glitch.
