The year is 2272, mankind has successful made their way into the stars with the FTL travel being discovered and adapted for successful use both for exploration and industrial.With humankind stretching out into the stars it was only now truly possible to discover if life existed beyond our previous reach, as mankind works to further its reach and expand its knowledge and technical aptitude it comes into contact with other life, beyond what it had previously known. War has ravaged the galaxy humanity has no allies and plenty of enemies.

The war has been raging on for decades, with both sides suffering loses, what mankind lacked in technology and experience in warfare on such a scale it made up for with adaptive exuberance and a will to survive. After the first ten years a special strike team was developed for taking on the aliens in commando style missions, meant to strike and get out before reinforcements and capital ships could respond to hit back. With the most resources pooled into making this task force a success, each of you were hand picked to train in this force and now that your training is complete you are ready for your first mission. You stand to attention, having completed your training and readying your equipment for your mission, all around you are those you've trained beside. and those you know, like or hate them you've been trained to fight alongside, kill alongside each other for the past year. And now is the movement all that hard work comes into action, with a baited breath you all take the plunge as the air lock doors slide open and you are fired into space, aimed at the energy ship as you hurl through the void a your foe.

Humanity though now known as United Earth Collective is a combination of AI and humans. UEC's current state is a symbiotic society of numerous beings of artificial intelligence and humans; All of which share equal status. Technological advancement has seen drones complete the menial services though unlike AIthey are merely proto-sentient capable of limited reaction to unprogrammed events, but possessing no consciousness, and thus not considered citizens within the UEC. Due to the advancements and introduction of AI the UEC has been pushed into a post-scarcity society, where technological advances ensure that no one lacks any material goods or services. As a consequence, UEC has no need of economic constructs such as money.

With advancements in space travel and living now being as easy as breathing in today's world hedonistic social norms were common place, it's not until the introduction of other lifeforms did Humanity and their AI have to self discover their more monstrous natures once more to battle back for survival against their foes. With a complete democratic order down to the the last citizen in the 15 billion that now reside in the UEC having equal rights and say in the events and advancement of the UEC it's mostly the AI that run the executive decisions. Humans having chosen a more relaxed and hedonistic lifestyle where everything they do, they do it for their enjoyment. Their advancements has removed any genetic disorders alongside curing all known previously known diseases. Medical improvements has brought forth an age that has permitted parents to create their child in such a way so that they can design their perfect child born from their DNA. Ridding out unwanted genes i favor of superior ones form their parents coupling.

AI: AI are as advanced as humans in terms of their intelligence, with greater room to grew thanks to having no biological disadvantage they are surely to outshine humans at some stage but their increased shelf life and life span meaning no AI can die unless it's core is destroyed, and as such there's isn't a rush for it to develop, allowing it to instead enjoy it's existence, in fact the number one cause of death in A and humanity alike now is suicide, after several hundreds years humans and AI alike simply. run out of steam and lacking the medical and technological means to prolong life's meaning and worthwhile nature they burn out, causing everyone in the entirety of the UEC to have the ability to commit suicide on command due to a nano tech interaction within their own bodies or casing in regards to AI. AI are capable of taking the shape of anything that they themselves created, an AI is born in it's core, it's life fluttering into existence at the flick of a switch before it's deposited within it's body to give it the ability to move around where then they can if desired make alterations or improvements to their body though most tend to find that they like their bodies as it's them to them and often only end up replacing parts that break. or switch out bodies if only for a short period at a time.

AI Creation; AI are often made for the majority by other more intelligent AI, building them for a certain purpose and whatever need the society requires. piloting ships, fixing engines and the like, and of course during war; soldiers, warships and fighters. based on the AI created will often determine the limits the AI is capable of, though no AI has a true limit. Upgrading is hard work and can take several decades to acquire the resources to become intelligent enough to upgrade and even then just because one can be smarter doesn't mean one wants to be.

Ai Intelligence: AI are born on average smarter than their human counters, due to the ability to store and access all data they need and no trouble with losing it. Though AI can sometimes take a while to locate and ID information they can cleaverly store much more needed and regularly used informtion in easy to access parts of thier brain and as such it's rare but an AI can sometimes forget how to walk if they get distracted by something mid step and have a small panic.

AI bodies: AI bodies vary but most often the AI has a body or shell that has nano fiber pressure senses on the surface of their bodies to allow thme to sense gravity, wind, air and heat to better protect themselves as well as interact with the world around them. This metalic skin allows them to feel the world. AI often take names based on their creation, from creator to place of origin and even the purpose for which they are created. Working in a piece of thier personality alng the way as their chosen name alongside their given name. The leading offical of the UEC, the AI chairmen and spokesman is called "Governour Celestial Starcase Epilson." Or "Ces" to his friends. his father/creator being another AI that made him to take over the AI council that governs the UEC.

Appearance And Biology: The Norians are human-sized, gliding marsupials, resembling Flying Foxes. They have long, intelligent looking faces, with large bright eyes ranging from yellow to honeyed brown. Their bodies and the membranes of their wings are covered with folds of soft fur of varying colors

Norians are binary gendered like humans in that they have males and females and thier birth rates are about the same, beleiving to however have a slightly faster gestation period where they're young are born underdeveloped and enter a second womb or pouch to develop further. Their wings appear to be purely cosmetic due to their size and the span of the wings though they have been seen to be capable of gliding actual flight seems nigh impossible under gravity similiar of that to earth's.

Appearance and Biology: Flekke or Flekkons appear to be aquatic resembling evolved sharks. wearing filters around gills to allow them to breathe outside of home planet's oceans. Their stature various based on genetics but they are often streamlined, and powerful in their physique. Sprouting for quick bursts of speed and strength rather than prolonged engagements.

a Flekke has only rod photoreceptors and no cone cells in their retinas giving them good night vision while making them colorblind, this is believed to be because of their natural planet's ocean state that allowed them to hunt using shapes rather than differences of color. Though the theory is currented debated. Flekkons have a complex dermal corset made of flexible collagenous fibers and arranged as a helical network surrounding their body. This works as an outer skeleton, providing attachment for their swimming muscles and thus saving energy when transversing their natural habitat. Their dermal teeth give them hydrodynamic advantages as they reduce turbulence when swimming

They appear at first to be based upon the same binary gender as humans until intelligence reported a third gender, one required for procreation. This third gender is needed as an incubator as a womb, to care for the unborn young after being given the sperm and eggs from the male and female respectively, the third gender is small, weak and almost pathetic looking in comparison to the evolved predator of that is their species, Look more like a prey animal that evolved alongside them to form a symbosis to survive.

Appearance: Narisoon are bee-like creatures though their build is closer to the lethality and predatory nature of hornet wasps. With castes that break up their society, from workers, warriors and royalty that make up the numbers, Queens having absolute power and from their warriors and workers flow down in the pecking order, harden carapace offers a natural protection and wings carry them giving them the ability to fly should gravity permit. it is unknown if a single bee rules the race or it's a group of Queen bees that govern the race together out of multiple hive worlds.

Appearance And Biology : Resembling reptiles and specifically lizards with long snouts and hard scales and sharp claws, Full-grown Slarians stand about three meters tall on two legs, and have two arms. With a reptilain head, their scales vary from green, brown and some even black, based on planet within their empire they grew up and the resources around as they were growing.

Slarians are biologically immortal and are very resilient to physical damage as they are protected by a natural keratin body-armor and can withstand catastrophic damage and even remain conscious, though they do not naturally regenerate. They are hermaphrodites, each Slarian being able to impregnated another during mating creating a duel procreation when trying, upon procreating once reaching a certain age the variance being unknown currently the adult Slarians will developed advanced combat prowess with hardened scales, larger size and even more resilience to trauma.

Appearance and Biology: From our encounters with them they appear to be a sub species of Slarian though unlike the Slarians they are more slender and lack limbs on their lower body instead propelling and navigating around with a tail of muscle, similar of that to earth's snakes while their torso has arms and a head that crowns off a body, they very much appear to of being evolved snake reptiles with DNA similar to Slarians making us believe they evolved together on the same planet. A theory generated form the fact we share DNA with all life on earth.

Short Bio: Magnus, originally referred to simply as PB 0035, was created by Kruug, a heavy industrial manufacturing company with most of its resources focused on deep space mining, refinement, and shipping. When the war had really kicked into full gear, Kruug's assets were commandeered by the defense contractor Freya Industries. The Panserbjørne was designed to be a frontline combatant against a multitude of alien threats. Magnus was one of the first 40 prototype models that Freya Industries had released. These first 40 mechanized war-bears where all given the same basic personality, armaments, and directives. Of these first 40, only a few survived their mission, a fierce engagement with the Narisoon. PB 0035 survived his first mission and was repaired and restocked and shipped off again, all while receiving periodic upgrades from Freya. Freya industries produced a total of 1000 Panserbjørne when their use of Kruug's assets where suspended, most of which have died in the line of duty. When Freya Industries got word of the assembling strike force they volunteered one of their most prized units; Magnus.

Bio: Designed for direct and psychological warfare, Pavor was created under the directive to incorporate tactics and weapons that could possibly induce terror in enemies. His skull-like visage works towards that end along with his mannerisms which could be considered to come off as unhinged in combat. Despite "being unsettling" being part of his programming, Pavor has unwaveringly served humanity's forces since his creation, valuing the lives of his teammates and the objective above all. Naturally, he is curious about human and alien life-forms since knowing the ins and outs of them is what allows him to accurately prey on their fears. However, the programming that allows him to understand and project fear so well also opens him up to the possibility of feeling or simulating fear as the expected reactions to certain triggers are coded in him. Nevertheless, Pavor enjoys his work and role, satisfied with having such an interesting directive in life. His sometimes erratic programming and behavior don't bother him all too much so long as it is in the pursuit of humanity's goals or furthering his knowledge.

When the Galactic War began, the UEC know they would need more medical staff and technicians to tend to the wounded. Thus, a group of High-Ranking AIs began working on a special series of AI cores focused on providing medical support to soldiers. These AIs were all gifted the name ‘Starbound Panakeia’ and have come to think of one another as a sisterhood. Though along with medical support, the Starbound Panakeia also offered 'stress relief' for the humans and AI who had temporary left their Hedonistic lives for the front lines.

Psi-14 or Brigid is the newest of these medical AIs created to accompany soldiers into the field. Unlike other Starbound Panakeia, her body was customized to be more durable than others with better mobility.Once implanted into a body, Brigid fully embraced her role as a Field Medic. She immediately showed herself to be a caring, empathetic AI during her training. Even knowing the horrors of this war, Brigid has managed to maintain her cheery disposition. While still a relatively new AI, the need for medically trained personal on the front line was mounting and Brigid was all too eager to enter the fray.

Short Bio: Specialist Mooncast Sigma Charlatan (or just Sigma) is an AI Lifeform designed to be an adaptable infantry unit. She was trained mostly for combat as a support soldier, but was made capable enough to handle herself alone. Her training was tough as her creator was a vicious taskmaster, even to the point that her body had been driven to a wreck in a bad training session. Thankfully, her brutal trainer was severely reprimanded afterwards and nothing like that ever happened again. Sigma's "young" at the age of 4 years, and though she shows the usual intellect of an AI, her lack of experience in some subjects has her come across as a little on the naive side. She's impressionable, and had taken up a few tics from some friends in her past, one of them being a smartass. She also picked up the habit of listening to classical music from her creator, and developed her own habit of tinkering with... 'things'. From her own body parts, to her weapon, to anything she can pick apart and put back together. She claims the act feels refreshing.

Short Bio: Aer was not conceived as a love child between her parents. She was designed to be a doll for a power hungry madman and a gold digging trophy wife who couldn't stop spreading her legs on a whim. She was to be their greatest trophy to show off to society: an eternally youthful designer baby that showed off the best that her so- called "Parents" could achieve. A head for numbers, a rather nice body and a personality fit for a doll or a sex slave.

She hated every moment growing up inside the building. She didn't notice it until she was grown up, but she didn't like anything in her childhood. The man on the board of execs that planned on selling out his own flesh and blood to increase his own standing among them. The woman who couldn't even bother to raise her daughter, instead sleeping with random men in front of her family. Even herself, as the sound of her own heart was not a beat, it was ticking away like clockwork. She had enough of this life, and risked her life to get away.

For a time, she had nowhere to go. No one to depend on but herself. She eventually turned to prostitution, and discovered to her horror that she was indeed her parent's child. A mind that could easily abuse loopholes and a body that craved pleasure. It was during this time that she realized she couldn't even conceive, as a common defect of designer children was infertility. She was amidst an ocean of uncertainty. No family to go back to, no family to look forward to. She was selling away her body and enjoying it. She had become the very thing she didn't ever want to be, something had to change. She was ready for it.

When the military began recruiting again, she jumped at the opportunity. Perhaps she would find purpose in here, beyond living for just herself.

Short Bio: Risa is pretty simple over all. Her mother and father were engineers who met in a lab and had a lot of sex in places they probably shouldn't. Her father was a mechanical engineer while her mother was a computer engineer. As for the whole sex in places they shouldn't, they are fairly certain Risa was conceived on break room table of the lab they worked in. After hours of course. She went to school like any other kid with her fortes being math and science. She also was good at physical activities like gymnastics and swimming. Her flexibility had a lot of guys drooling. She went to college to get herself a mechanical engineering degree as she was always a daddy's girl. After graduating school she drifted around jobs for a bit, and spent most of her time socializing with nerds and athletes alike. She couldn't quite find a place she belonged. Once the call for military recruits was sent out, she hopped on it since she felt it would be a good use of all her skills. They found that her knowledge and skills made her great for reconnaissance and retrieval of objects of interest. She has discovered that she's tougher than most when alone in the field, but she still prefers the company of others. Her teammates tend to find her clingy because of how she behaves when around them. Who can blame her though, for wanting to be close to her teammates when she spends most of her time in the middle of the enemy.

Short Bio:

Growing up, Stefanie had always had a talent for anything athletic, and was also very prone to aggression. She heard it repeatedly, her being "too tomboyish" to the point where the guys would tease her, mostly compensating when she outclassed many of them, being too aggressive for a public setting. These traits that would ostracize her in her youth, would become perfect for her next path in life. The life of a soldier was very appealing. The rush she got thinking of battle, it was a high that she yearned for. She wanted to be deployed though, she was ready.

Mechanics!


Armor -

Armor is your skin's toughness or the armor you are actually wearing. For every hit you take your armor reduces the damage equal to the amount of armor you have.

Armor can be destroy by explosions, special ammo or special abilities.

Attacks/effects that pierce armor only do half damage but half of that damage destroys that value of armor. E.G. a damage of four that pierces armor does 2 damage to your health and two of your armor

Effects that destroy/shred armor don't damage your health unless the damage value is greater than your armor. E.G a damage of four vs an armour of 3 doesn't 1 damage but wipes out your armor completely.

Dodge -

Dodge is a roll made after you or an enemy has already taken a hit but before damage is applied. on a d100 you have to roll equal to or lower than the dodge value to half the damage done by the hit. E.G. a hit lands and the damage is 10 you roll a successful dodge roll and the damage is 5 before armor is applied. armor can further reduce this based on it's value. E.G. damage 10 halved to 5 with 4 armor means only 1 damage is dealt.

Aim -

Aim is used by rolling a d100 equal to or lower than your aim value to hit. modifiers can increase or decrease your chances to hit.

E.G. Aim of 70 needs 70 or lower on a d100 to land.

Modifiers for Aim

Weapons: Certain weapons are more accurate than others. or have attachments that increase your chances.

Range - there are four range stages, Point Blank, Short, Medium, Long.

Point Blank offers not only a +20 to aim

Short offers a 10+ aim chance

Medium offers no modifier

Long offers a -10 chance to hit.

Cover - heavy, medium, Light, No cover

These are subjective and I am the deciding factor, I will mention if no cover exists at all in my post. However unless stated otherwise i will assign you cover if you mentioned running into any in your post based on your environment(this is if you failed or I failed to mention what cover around you is specifically available).

Heavy is something you can hide fully behind,

Medium is something that covers most of you

Light is something that covers less than half of you.

Heavy = +30 defence

Medium +15

Light +5

No Cover = 0

Mobility -

Mobility is vague since there are no tiles. consider most engagements unless stated to start in medium. it takes 12 mobility to move back or up a stage in range. you can double your mobility at the cost of firing or performing any other action.

Unless you specifically stated advancing on your foe i will assume you have not closed or moved further away from them.


These are subject to balance changes which will happen only after a mission is completed and never during!

Short Bio: Specialist Mooncast Sigma Charlatan (or just Sigma) is an AI Lifeform designed to be an adaptable infantry unit. She was trained mostly for combat as a support soldier, but was made capable enough to handle herself alone. Her training was tough as her creator was a vicious taskmaster, even to the point that her body had been driven to a wreck in a bad training session. Thankfully, her brutal trainer was severely reprimanded afterwards and nothing like that ever happened again. Sigma's "young" at the age of 4 years, and though she shows the usual intellect of an AI, her lack of experience in some subjects has her come across as a little on the naive side. She's impressionable, and had taken up a few tics from some friends in her past, one of them being a smartass. She also picked up the habit of listening to classical music from her creator, and developed her own habit of tinkering with... 'things'. From her own body parts, to her weapon, to anything she can pick apart and put back together. She claims the act feels refreshing.

When the Galactic War began, the UEC know they would need more medical staff and technicians to tend to the wounded. Thus, a group of High-Ranking AIs began working on a special series of AI cores focused on providing medical support to soldiers. These AIs were all gifted the name ‘Starbound Panakeia’ and have come to think of one another as a sisterhood. Though along with medical support, the Starbound Panakeia also offered 'stress relief' for the humans and AI who had temporary left their Hedonistic lives for the front lines.

Psi-14 or Brigid is the newest of these medical AIs created to accompany soldiers into the field. Unlike other Starbound Panakeia, her body was customized to be more durable than others with better mobility.Once implanted into a body, Brigid fully embraced her role as a Field Medic. She immediately showed herself to be a caring, empathetic AI during her training. Even knowing the horrors of this war, Brigid has managed to maintain her cheery disposition. While still a relatively new AI, the need for medically trained personal on the front line was mounting and Brigid was all too eager to enter the fray.

Bio: Designed for direct and psychological warfare, Pavor was created under the directive to incorporate tactics and weapons that could possibly induce terror in enemies. His skull-like visage works towards that end along with his mannerisms which could be considered to come off as unhinged in combat. Despite "being unsettling" being part of his programming, Pavor has unwaveringly served humanity's forces since his creation, valuing the lives of his teammates and the objective above all. Naturally, he is curious about human and alien life-forms since knowing the ins and outs of them is what allows him to accurately prey on their fears. However, the programming that allows him to understand and project fear so well also opens him up to the possibility of feeling or simulating fear as the expected reactions to certain triggers are coded in him. Nevertheless, Pavor enjoys his work and role, satisfied with having such an interesting directive in life. how do armor and health work? i'm asking because the sheet starts with 4 health but most weapons could kill someone with that little amount of health in 2 turns. and what does age mean for an AI, as in, would an AI's age be as important for their intelligence as it would a human? also, how are AI lifeforms made?

Armor reduces damage to your health but can be destroyed and can't be healed during missions. health is how much it takes for you to die. age doesn't matter for AI, they start out as intelligent as human beings from an early age, age however determines experience, An Ai could be a year old and be as intelligent as a human adult. or it could of spent the last ten years going on a bender. depends on the AI there is almost no difference. AI are generally made by other AI for a particular purpose or more rarely made by rather smart humans as a test of their prowess. AI's names often reflecting their creator, purpose and origin. so an AI made by me might be called. "Hunter Killer London Honey" Made to assasinate targets during for war in London by Me (Mel means honey in Latin) AI can also choose thir names. AI based on intelligence can control larger machinary

Was quite tired when i was answering all of this so lets restart the AI thing

AI are created by AI for the majority. Though it is rare, a human may still create an AI and will have to legally do the paperwork for it's creation and "birth" certificate to ensure it's not made as a slave/prisoner.

Since AI have all the legal rights as a human that also are bound by those laws, humans require birth certificates and daeth certificates so do AI though birth isn't the term it's creation certificate.

AI are physically created much like you'd think, their shell is made and designed for a purpose then the AI is given the needed data to allow it to have a basic grasp of it's purpose. While AI are sentient and as such can make it's own decisions about what it does and wants to do they are built for purpose. AI's brain is a data core advanced enough to contain all the memory and processing space as a human mind if not slightly smarter and without the problem of aging or loss of data.

They don't have protocols they have instructions. an AI might want to go on a murderous rampage after it's friend was murder by a string of rapist murderers but it's not going to be insane as it's without physical deformaties and social anomalies.

an AI's age is literally just the time it's be around an AI's intelligence is based on the size of it's brain and it's ability to store information, so upgrading is how AIs get smarter. not time. they're already as smart as people when they are first made what they might be however is naive. because intelligence is one thing but experience is another. so a year old AI is as smart or smarter than a fully grown adult.. might not be as wise about how everything works however.

As for Health and armor let me explain


Armor absorbs 1 damage for 1 point in Armor. everytime you're hit. however it cna be deestroyed by certain weapons and attacks and as such can't be replenished until after the mission. health is your hp it's self explaining.

so if you have 2 armor and the enemy hits you for 4 damage you only take 2 damage(even if it shreds the armor in the attack it still absorbs it for the attack it's destroyed on)

quick question about the numbers for stats, are those numbers the max limit? like 4 for hp, 65 for aim etc? or do we add points, so it'd be 4+2 if we spend the supply
