I remember in like March 2015 waiting on the release of Chapter 1. It's almost March 2018, and all we're gonna get is a partial chapter 1.

Yeah...honestly if this release isn't insanely good then I may fear about the support for the game. Even if it's really good some much time has passed and that can greatly hurt Yummy and this game, which sucks because I do want to see it finished but...I'm weary of games that get very few updates over time. I understand that Yummy wanted to do big releases, one for each chapter, but he needs to keep giving us stuff so that we stay invested.

I expect Yummy knows that the pressure is on for the release to be a bit of a showstopper...which is probably turning into a positive feedback loop, taking more time to make sure it's good :lol:
He has said that chapter 1 will take the most time and that all the other chapters will take much less time individually because all the functional framework is done, and all the other chapters will need is story, writing and artwork (I say "all" they'll need; not to devalue that, but chapter 1 needed the technical stuff and the narrative so...). Makes sense, we'll see if it plays out that way. I say this with optimism :)

Yes, but Yumbruary has 31 days. Sorry, forgot to mention that. The public version won't be released until the battle system is fully functional and saves are compatible. Additionally, there was new content in the August 2017 and December 2017 releases on Patreon.

So does that mean the update will come out in March or...? And I haven't seen any new content so to most people it probably looks like there hasn't been any new content if it hasn't been shown to the public. Sorry, I'm not trying to be mean but you would get more support is newer people are able to know that progress is actually happening with proof.

Yes, the beta will be out for patrons very soon, and I'll get a real public update following. Apparently, I need hard deadlines to get shit done and let it go, so if I don't get a release out in March, I'm shutting my Patreon down. Not sure I can give myself any harder deadline than that. Either I'll get shit done and released, or I'll move on and let you guys lament in peace. See you on the other side.

Honestly, I think most people won't give two shits if the game doesn't have save compatibility built-in (yet), given that the last save they had was from a version of the game that basically had nothing in it, relatively compared to what's probably going to come in this new version.

Since save compatibility WILL be a pain in the ass, I recommend you just get the battle system done (with boobs, please), and release this comming public version without save compatibility, and instead focus on having that done for the next, as I figure people wouldn't want to lose the possibly hours worth of gameplay that this version will provide as opposed to the 15/30 minute-ish game time that you get from the old demos.

Not only that, I get the feeling that people will want to start over from the beginning, since chapter 1 will be quite the departure from the original demo.

Yeah, I think most people just want to game to be done and work well and probably will start a new game anyways and since there wasn't much in the latest demo people will probably only lose about 30 minutes of progress, depending on fast they play anyways. Save compatibility isn't that big of a deal at the moment I think.

Anyways, I do hope you finish it soon and meet that deadline if yours because I think shutting down your patreon is a bit extreme, but do what you have to.

yeah ive been following this game for a long time and i love what you have so far... but i'd recomend what TiTs and CoC Devlopers did... they release new stuff each week.. i mean it's now alot and they go off of what the people want. i am not saying you need to go off what people want... but in the end having regular updates not only helps people know you are still working on it but also helps you creep your way to finishing the game... slow and stead right? adding a new person a new town a new quest... maybe a day or two depending on how much effort you place in it.. but by the end it will get you more followers and more supporters... i mean if u wanna make this game full time you gotta keep at it and showing us you want to finish this not only for us... but for your self X3 :D

*Nods at the last posts* Yeah, that was what I was thinking. While I don't think you need to do a weekly update, as that doesn't give much time at all, though a monthly one I think works well if h-games like this one. It doesn't even need to be a content update each time but you can show previews and gives progress reports. I understand if you want to do large and completed updates but that might take too long for the average h-game player who wants to see new content often.

If you just don't try to get the save compatibility and instead focus on the combat system, which seems to be the main issue at the moment and finishing it would help get something like monthly updates out easier. I'm not entirely sure what the problem with the combat system is but I think I might know of an h-game or two that has a very similar combat system that I'm not sure if you can check the coding for to use in your game.

I love your art style and your dedication to freedom for the player! Sexiness should be found in your own way in a RPG! Not much of an RPG if you can't react to situations uniquely. I like that here, when you do, you don't get punished for not following the 'cannon' plot line. Keep it up!
