What we want is for you, our friends, to talk to us if you think something's wrong, especially if it's the result of a modertor's action. I've made really bad moderating calls in the past, and the only way I found out is by being called out. We don't bite ('cept Taria, she's kinky like that), so please call us out (politely) if you think we screwed something up.
In addition, if you're getting harassed or see someone else doing something against the rules, then please speak up! Tell us about it so we can quickly and properly deal with these issues. For reference the rules are below:

- Until you have 10 posts on the forum, your posts are subject to moderator approval. It may take a while for posts to appear, but be assured that they're still there! Similarly, private messages aren't allowed before you've gotten 10 posts (since private messages can't be viewed by moderators, they can't be sent with moderator approval). If you're having trouble figuring out how to reach 10 posts, visit the General subforum, there are many topics to chat in there, and there aren't many limitations!
- Be nice. This means no flaming, no trolling, no scathing personal attacks, and no purposefully misleading comments.
- New users' posts undergo an approval process, meaning they won't show up right away. Don't worry though, once you have 10 posts you can post freely without restrictions! Just be patient, and don't re-post messages! You also won't be able to send private messages during this time; just be patient and send your messages once you've had enough posts approved.
- No advertising. Advertising in any way puts you at risk of being banned.
The Creative Corner is only meant for projects with free content. Posting purchase links for DLSite games in the CC is against the rules and will get you warned or banned. However, posting a detailed description of a DLSite game with a link and posting it in an appropriate thread in General Discussion is fine. It's absolutely fine to talk about games that cost money, but it's not okay to pressure other people on the forum to buy said games.
Certain threads on this forum request donations, but the LoK forums only advocate the use of the free content posted on the forum. Donating to projects is risky, and anyone who feels unsatisfied with their choice to donate should bring it up with the project manager, but shouldn't post complaints to the forum.
Patreon is a gray area for sure. If the project has no playable demo, but a patreon link is posted in the Creative Corner, it's treated like any other paid product being advertised in the CC and its owner is warned, then banned if they attempt more advertising. If the demo provided is termed "alpha" or "beta", and the thread includes pressuring tactics to sell a "full game", then that may fall over the line to advertising paid content. If the game is managed so that patrons get access to content that will become free within a few weeks, then that's on the other side of the advertising line and it's acceptable.
Threads with low effort posts (copy pasted boilerplate, minimal text, or a lack of community interaction) may be warned or deleted, and putting effort into the community aspect of your game's thread can help keep it from falling over the line for advertising. - Keep it constructive and on topic! The discussion and creative areas are for on-topic posts only. We don't mind a brief aside or indirectly related comment, but if you want to have a silly conversation then create a new topic in the general forum or use private messages please!
- No spam. Spam is when you post a link without text, post a completely off-topic message, post a random string of characters, or anything similar. Double posts can also be spam, but it's context sensitive. Use the final rule to decide. Shock links (links intended to result in fear, disgust, or horror) are explicitly disallowed.
It's fun to be high energy and silly, but only certain threads are meant for that. Keep in mind that many threads expect or require a certain level of behavior. - No illegal content. Pirated content, child pornography, and any digital art where the participants are stated as below 18 years old are disallowed on the forums.
- Use common sense. I'm not smart enough to think of everything someone could do to damage the forum or cause trouble. If you think something might cause trouble, try to consider the repercussions of your action. If you're worried we'll get mad about posting something, feel free to send the post by us first. That way we can help you understand whether the post is appropriate, and help you correct any problems the post may have.
- The Creative Corner has it's own set of rules that everyone should be aware of. Please read them here.
Thanks so much for reading this, with your help we can make this forum even more awesome than it already is!
