Come on now, Hunden. You should know the laws regarding such content by now. I went back and forth with you over them enough times. ;)

According to US and International Laws under the directive of the UN regarding copyrighted material, satyrizing and parodizing is legal, as long as no original content (namely pictures, videos, etc) from the source is used unless you receive permission to do so by the creators/owners. Crossover comics fall into this category, as does adult movies like Lord of the G-String and Spiderbabe. However, if the owners of the original source want to they can request a Cease and Desist order to protect their assets to the fullest extent and bypass the copyright laws.

In short, you can use whatever characters you want to but you have to do the art, models, etc yourself or have them done for you. This is why the Dark Impulses team is trying to push out all original assets for our games.

Ok, just popping in and read a bit. I thought of a way to add a R&M reference without it being, in my opinion, too jarring or distracting. Instead of it being this big, convoluted reference that involves some sort of adventure, probably with a chance to catch Summer/Beth/Insert_Name_Here, What about this:

During a mission, while attempting to capture someone/thing, you're about to do it, and right before you do, you're distracted as a portal appears.

R&M walk out, Morty does his stutter-y 'W-w-where are we t-this time, Rick?' and Rick replies something like 'The wrong *Buuurp* world, this one's to*Belch*o fluffed already.*', they then portal away. In the meantime, the target of the mission has sneaked off, causing you to move onto the next part of the mission.

'Could then also have a reason to add a portal gun key item that allows for fast travel. Maybe Rick drops it as the portal is closing.

Just my idea. It'd be a small, quick reference, that can allow what is essentially the addition of a fly mechanic. Probably could only have one destination, since I don't know how you'd make it multi-choice. But it'd be an excuse to essentially try and add Fly to the game xP At the very least, I wouldn't mind just finding a portal gun somewhere with the ability to instantly teleport to the Rocket Tower...Walking is a tad annoying >.>...

*I don't like cussing, so I substituted F*** for Fluff.

As for the whole 'Vore, BBW(If I know my internet, that's Big Bodied/Bellied Woman, right?), Misc. Extreme Fetishes' part. I'd agree with Dapper. Keep that in a game that is about that sort of thing. Evil has some fetishes, sure. Bestiality, Underage, etc. However I don't believe anything more than that would really work. Vore, for instance, is very looked down upon, and is pretty uncommon, honestly, as a fetish for someone, most people don't even understand Furry, let alone vore. Though, I suppose the furry part is a bit redundant consider the forum and game xP

Point is: Don't add anything new. We have plenty to choose from already, Best, Child, Tentacles, Bondage, etc. and adding something more...icky, like being eaten alive, let alone shoved into a creature/persons sexual organs, would likely destroy any kind of fan-base this game has.

Just my thoughts.

Also, congrats on the published book Hund, and good luck with the other.

the only problem i see is the portal gun key item. unless i make some sort of portal area or whatever...also what about just adding new areas that the player can steal? i mean that's a game macanic that's in already but you don't really get much used out of it... so like a lab (i already pitched this to hunden) you can get like a time machine or a cloning divice in there to get free poke'mon like ditto

Thanksgiving? Is it not based on some Indians trying to help some settlers who then killed them and took their land? Or have I misunderstood something? I do not know much about American culture. Is it true that you are very devoted to freedom, and that your country is the best in the world? And do you seriously mean your soldiers are heroes?

That's why we have Black Friday, Hunden. Feast and dine with friends and family one day, then try to kill them for great deals the next.

Jokes aside, I want to say this. I apologize in advance as this will likely derail the topic and is unlike me to make a scene but I have to say it.

America is definitely not the greatest country it once was and still could be one day but our education system is trashed, our government is corrupt, the pursuit of freedom has left most of the country morally bankrupt, just to name a few of our greatest flaws.

You can mock about the US all you want, I'll likely agree with you on many things. But I will not standby when someone takes jabs at our armed service men and women. Individually they may not be the poster children of they should be but it takes a special mentality to volunteer to join the military and then spend every day putting on that uniform, taking whatever shit gets thrown at you and potentially spending months away from your friends and family as they place duty above personal needs and desires. If you don't think these brave people are heroes in some regard then please go and join your own country's military and show us all an example of what being a good soldier, a good person, a good leader is about. If you're not willing to do even half of what they do in service to country and country men, for the US or your own country, then shut the hell up because they have bigger balls and stronger backs then ever will. The women included.

Oohrah.

PS. Again, sorry for the derailment. Also, Hunden, I speaking generally, not just targeting you.

it is true that the armys are pretty good but if you ask me it takes even bigger balls to stand by them in this day-in-age. god knows that even the veterins need it.

Okay. So the rumors were true, good. Or bad. As you now take it.

Denmark is certainly not the best country. It seems mostly that politicians move Denmark into a black hole and democracy has fallen. But I will not complain. I'm doing fine on my pension.

I'm very sorry if I hurt your feelings about your heroes, but ... in my eyes, soldiers are just murderers employed by the government. Is not it wrong to kill other people? You think it's wrong to steal, regardless of form, how can you not think it is wrong to kill?
I am very sorry that I see the world through different eyes. And by the way, I was discarded. I simply not the tyden who blindly follow orders.

I do not really understand the last part. Is that something important? Sorry, but I seriously do not understand what you mean. Could you try with some other synonyms? :|

"soldiers are just murderers employed by the government." - Hunden

This is nearly 100% wrong. Sure, there might be a few that join because they 'get to shoot things', but by and large, the ones that join, and put their lives on the lines, are not like that. A murderer is someone who kills without a good reason, in an unlawful way. Soldiers don't kill just to kill, most of them are there to protect people. They do the fighting so their loved ones don't have too.

Hunden, if someone were to save you from a serial killer by shooting them, would you think it is wrong for him to have done so? Or would you be thanking them for saving your life?

A murderer kills for personal enjoyment/gain. A soldier kills to protect. Never say bad things about those that give their life for you. They made the ultimate sacrifice so that you can have what you have, however much that might be. Would you want someone to call you a murderer and complain and get upset if you saved their life? Can you not at least try to respect those that are attempting to keep their loved ones safe?

I'm not one for arguments, but this is one thing most will agree on. They died so that we may live in relative peace. NEVER disrespect them. They don't deserve it. As I said in the beginning, there might be a few bad seeds, but for the most part they're heroes, not murderers.

My little rant is over, I will not continue this line of discussion further. My Grandfather was in the army, so it's a little touchy for me. I apologize.

I would say that the only acceptable BBW pokemon would be Snorlax. Any other one I wouldn't think would fit in the series but that's just me

After reading all that, I have to say ... do not you mix police and soldiers together? I have written with you, and I know that ... things tend to go over your head. No offence. How do the soldiers protect you in your country while being in another country and fight something. I do not know what to call it because it's not war. If it's a war, it's already lost.

I have nothing against to be protected, but it will hardly be by soldiers. If I have to be protected from some madman, it will be the police.

Perhaps the word murderer was just wrong. What about bounty hunters? Assassins? Mercenaries?
Sorry I say so, but my attitude is that war is wrong. There are a lot of other ways to solve problems. The more we meet with hate, the farther away, we move from each others.

And just so we're safe. In self-defense it's okay to kill. But what self-defense is killing a few terrorists in a completely different country? It does not defend anyone and does not help anyone.

Not to forget about the little detail. I said that was my view. It is my opinion. I am very sorry that I can not see people who get money to kill people are heroes just because they are employed by the government.

Sorry, but I see things different. I can not help it. That how I am. I do not look at things with emotions, I look at them with logic. I'm not saying it makes me wiser, and I often put emotions into my logic.
Right now, my logic says I speak for deaf ears, but my emotions force me to continue.

Hunden Wrote:How do the soldiers protect you in your country while being in another country and fight ssomething.

For someone who claims to favor logic, this statement alone is naive and illogical. 'War is wrong' is also an emotional response, not a logical one. A logical thinking person approaches an issue from multiple angles, setting aside their personal thinking and biases to understand the objective better. In doing so they understand that in some circumstances, war is the only answer. Because there are groups out there that can't be reasoned with, don't want to be reasoned, dismisses any logic, reasoning and wisdom bestowed upon and remains too focused on their own ideals to be openminded to other outcomes. That can be said about political parties, terrorist groups and even Hundens, just to name a few.

Again, you obviously know very little about military versus contractors. As someone who knows people who deal in such contracts, those two groups are completely different, from the ground up. To them, killing is business and a lot who join up find they enjoy the business. Only around 15-20% of active duty servicemen, if that, see combat every year. The rest do every day jobs like the average working class person. They're doctors, chefs, religious leaders, data specialists, etc. And all these people are still heroes because they stepped up and served so that other people have the freedom to call them contract killers, even those in allied nations.

Man, Hunden. I would love to live in a world where we can sit down and rationally discuss things together in a civil manner and end things like war and world hunger and make sunshine and rainbows all day long. But that's nott he reality we live in. A logical thinking person would realize that, as a species, we are far from the maturity level needed to be able to sit down and settle things peacefully. Sure individuals can do that and it happens all the time, but less so for governments and political parties.

Now, to your previous response. Killing in general is wrong, I agree, but as I said before, sometimes you have to take one life in order to save ten more lives. And you don't have to blindly follow orders to be a good soldier, a model soldier. But in order to be a good leader, you have to start by first learning to follow and learn from your peers in order to embody their strengths, overcome their weaknesses and become a better leader overall.

My feelings weren't hurt, I'm made of thicker brass than that. But insulting our servicemen and calling them murderers and killers without knowing a damn thing about their lives and what they go through is a surefire way to crack the brass and get punched in the face. I'm passionate about few things in my life but honoring our armed forces and emergency responders is one of them.

And before when I was saying 'you' I was speaking generally, meaning 'you, people' and not just 'you, Hunden'. But in this response I used them interchangeably.

Now do yourself, this thread, and community, a favor. Unless you come back to continue on with your game, don't post again. That would be the most logical thing to do.

Again, I apologize for derailing this thread and continuing on this discussion. I'll take my own advice and butt out for a bit.
