Superminion Wrote:So, found a bug in the latest public build. So far, at least with ChrBeast it pushes your strength down to a low number after it visits you. It's happened multiple times.
I will add it to the bug list. Thanks.

CaptchasAreHard Wrote:Can we get a game over/ restart save button(maybe unlocks after unlocking sandbox mode or something)? It would have been nice when I was still searching for endings
Ehhh... I'll consider it. Soo Cubus is already kind of an easy game in the final analysis, and I was trying to avoid save scumming as much as possible. We'll see.

New build, y'all. It only really has the last two endings, so I'm not going to add a big feature list update. Go, play, enjoy. And, just to avoid imminent questions, you need all the keys to make them happen.

Anyone want to try and explain the new ending to me? I feel like I'm missing some context.
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

I'm assuming the current "king" is the son of the old king who got murdered but is there more to it?

Playin the latest build (4.0). Unable to get the beasts to visit me (even after >100 nights), not of getting characters killed, even after multiple gameplays and getting all the endings. Are those features disabled or broken by the last build? Or am I getting bad luck and/or not doing something that was supposed to be normally done?

Regarding the beasts, you first have to meet them, then they will visit you AT HOME. They will only visit you at home, but it seems to be pretty random - there are times the beast won't show up at all, and other times the beast shows up a fair amount. My guess is bad luck, but Sexums will know for sure.

Finally managed to see that ending and from what I can tell (keep in mind these are just speculations an my part) Soo used to be the former quine that got killed by Little D, send to hell, brainwashed and turned into the succubus we all know and love. The same thing is happening to Mindy in the new game. Check the dev blog.
As for the rest, Little D killed the king and took they're child under his wing, classic story, we've seen it happen Game Of Thrones and movies, shows and other stuff.

Well, it's basically just grinding stats until you're good enough. But I did the math, so for the specifics, see the spoiler:
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Basically, this guy has 4000 health, and deals linearly scaling damage to you. Assuming you attack as fast as you can, you'll take 4 hits of asphyxiation damage while you're attacking, and then he'll up the amount of damage per hit by 1, and then you'll take another 4-5 hits before you can attack again. Looking at it another way, you'll take 4 1-damage hits before your first attack, and then it's just multiples of ~8.5 from then on. So this isn't 100% accurate, but as a result, we can model his damage output as an arithmetic series: 4*1 + 8.5*2 + 8.5*3 + 8.5*4 + ... + 8.5*X, where X is the number turns you fight.

Thus, we have:
f(X) = 4*1 + 8.5*1 - 8.5*1 + 8.5*2 + 8.5*3 + 8.5*4 + ... + 8.5*X
f(X) = 8.5*(1 + 2 + ... + X) + 4 - 8.5*1
f(X) = 8.5*(1 + 2 + ... + X) - 4.5
f(X) = 8.5*( X*(X+1)/2 ) - 4.5
f(X) = 4.25*X^2 + 4.25*X - 4.5

However, though that is the damage dealt by the end of your Xth attack for most of the fight, your final attack will be instantaneous due to a glitch(?) where no animation is played for the finishing blow in a fight. Thus, a more accurate formula will need to give us the damage you take before your Xth attack. As ~4 hits are dealt to you during your attack animation, you can simply subtract 4*X from f(X) to get:

f(x) = 4.25*X^2 + 0.25*X - 4.5

Using this formula, we can calculate the rough amount of charisma you'll need to survive long enough to make the Xth attack in this fight:
1: 0
2: 13
3: 35
4: 65
5: 103
6: 150
7: 206
8: 270
9: 342
10: 423
11: 513
12: 611
13: 717
14: 832
15: 956
First number is the amount of turns, the second number is the amount of damage you'll take before your attack. These numbers are fairly accurate. I tested it only once because it takes a while, but after 15 turns, I had taken precisely 951 damage. However, numbers may vary based on the rapidity with which you attack; if you are slow to click, you will take more damage.

Now, you really don't need more than 1000 Cha, so you should be able to end the fight in less than 15 turns. In order to do this, you need to deal 4000 damage in the number of turns which corresponds to your charisma - though it's always better to be safer, so try to get more Cha and Str/Int than is necessary. I personally advise Str, as it deals more damage per point invested and gives you extra stamina at around 35 and 70 str, which increases the amount of stat points you can gain per day. However, requirements for both are listed, given X turns, and assuming that the damage dealt is roughly equivalent to 1.5*Str or 1*Int.
1: 2667 4000
2: 1334 2000
3: 889 1334
4: 667 1000
5: 534 800
6: 445 667
7: 381 572
8: 334 500
9: 297 445
10: 267 400
11: 243 364
12: 223 334
13: 206 308
14: 191 286
15: 178 267
First number is the number of attacks you need to kill with a given Str/Int stat, second number is the Str stat, last number is the Int stat. These numbers are also fairly accurate, though you may actually require less Str/Int to win in X turns than listed, since you appear to deal slightly more damage than 1.5*Str or 1*Int once you've raised them high enough - though I'm less sure of that.

Lastly, I advise to try to go a couple levels higher in both for the stats you shoot for. For example, if you want to win in 10 turns, make sure you can survive for 11 (500 Cha) but kill in 9 (300 Str or 450 Int). So long as you can get your stats to around that threshold, you'll do fine.

If that's the case, them I'm not quite sure how to trigger that ending. :-(

Spoiler (click to show/hide):

I thought it was the difference between buying the anti-squid spray and the one you get with the bonus. Maybe you have to beat the other two levels of the sewers first?

I am a neglectful dev. Don't have time to answer all the questions, but it looks like most of them were content-related, so I'll skip to the last few.

panslayer Wrote:Well, I figured that out, but I have another questions. How do you trigger the gallery for the hobo fights and the sewers? I tried fighting both but I couldn't find it.
The Gallery appears on the Options screen once you have the proper achievement triggered. Top-right. Click the gap between the other two buttons if it doesn't show up for some reason.

Shimaraito Wrote:Are there cheats or anything? A lot of stuff is super expensive, kinda want to play around with a lot of money to see how things go

Nope. Sorry. Though the achievements make getting money a lot easier. Snag some endings and the game gets easier and easier.

musical74 Wrote:I know you are working on Simply Mindy but is Soo Cubus essentially done now? I thought you had some loose ends to tie up...

The original plan was to devote most of my time to Simply Mindy and then put in, say, an hour or two each day on Soo Cubus, polishing and revamping and whatnot. Problem is, maybe three days after I started Simply Mindy I got an offer to write another porn game, and the money was good enough that I couldn't really turn it down. March is my last month working on that game (might be some pickup later on, but I blasted through the script at lightning speed), so I'm planning / hoping to finally return to Soo Cubus and fix all the goddamned bugs that are still in there. Also need to start making music for both games, which, again, I haven't really had time to do.

Gonna be hard going back to Soo, though. Having worked on Mindy for as long as I have, I'm finding the art in Soo to be kinda fugly. Think it has to do with the four times magnification on the sprites. Might consider going back in the far-flung future and redoing a lot of the assets.

The tentacle monster still isn't appearing for me, it just goes directly to Big D after getting the last level of the third floor of the sewers. Is there some other requirement? I'm using the anti squid spray achievement perk

Sorry to bring up an old topic, but did we ever find out if this ending is glitched? Or are there other requirements besides using the anti-squid perk?
