I've been there and I managed to get out before my soul was utterly ripped to pieces... You can also be saved! Ask me how!
In the meantime...:

I can't offer proper support for this version though...
This build works fine for me.Abelius Wrote:LoK:Rebirth - Tech Demo v1.1 (Linux):
Totemist Wrote:The game looks absolutely amazing, with a minor tic that the text you have to click on to advance dialog and to select dialog options are at the top and bottom of the screen, and would work slightly better if they were stacked or the dialog boxes overlaid the options symbol.
Totemist Wrote:Also, maybe have an option to cancel dialog when you first select it?
Totemist Wrote:Seriously though, staggering. We would have eaten up a demo release with a handful of scenes if everything were of the quality shown in the tech demo.
Totemist Wrote:Can't wait for the 20th, and pretty please keep supporting for Linux.
Volume controls do nothing on this version, don't know if they haven't been fully implemented yet or if a bug.

You know what...? I can't reproduce the issue on my side.
But I believe you. I've lost the number of times I've seen that happening in the other game I was developing before this one. And the player controller is basically the same with some tweaks.
So I'll try to come up with another approach even if I can't properly test it on my side.

Aestral Wrote:Shame, since it's most likely going to slow down the development, but I'm sure you did what's best for the team and the game.

Totemist Wrote:Let me know if you need a writer/story idea volunteer, since if I remember right Programmer was the words guy, although the current dialog from the game and recent screenshots is better than fine.
