It'll be April for sure. I'm just sending off the first chunk for editing in the next day or two. That takes a few days, and then I'll send out the next, and so on. There's no way the entire chapter will get done in two weeks. Plus, now I've got an animator working on a few scenes and a composer adding 3 new tracks to the 2 that were already there. Doesn't mean I won't finally throw people a bone, but the entire chapter won't be done by April. All I can say in defense is that the chapter is larger than most DLSite games I've seen (not the good ones, but the basic ones).

My desktop pc's psu decided to fry itself yesterday, and my laptop is more slow-going than my cancer.

My pc was off, at least, when the psu decided to burst into a brief flame. Maybe my expensive gtx 950 for which I had to travel to the usa to buy managed to survive. Lord have mercy on my soul.

I do appreciate the kindness, Tiger. I don't really know how we'd manage the handout, but I really do.
Although, my bigger concern is not so much the psu but whatever other things it decided to fry with its own suicide. Namely, my cpu and gpu since they're the most expensive components (my cpu is a second generation i5, so if my mobo fried I'll probably have to replace it anyways.)

My psu was some 'eco friendly' 700w horseshite from a company called XTech. Some people will cry outrage for using a psu from an unrecognizable company, specially one that claimed to be 'eco friendly', but my pc is an old fag that was built originally by my dad that I have been trying, despite my lack of job, to modernise. My focus had always been gpus, starting with the original one, which I can't even remember the model, whose fan was shitty and kept gathering dust until the fan gave out. Alas, that gpu took a shit, so I replaced it with whatever I could buy in my country, with my savings. That was a GT 630. Some time went by, and I got tired of the limitations (and overheating), of my passive cooled GT 630, so I once again stocked up on my savings, and when my family went on a trip to miami last year I bought a GTX 950. And so the story goes. My pc is (was) a bit of a frankenstein, with bits and pieces ranging wildly in age, and some even coming from other machines (One of my dad's laptops died so I asked him, after connecting the disk drive to my pc to retrieve his data, if I could keep it. My PC's system drive was a 500gb hdd, so the 1tb latptop hdd came in handy)

one option, its not an optimal one but for games like the ones on these forums it can work. the rasperry pi. yeah i know its not a super gaming rig. and you must have an hdmi hookup for video. and yeah pretty much linux only (there is a win10 iot os, but its really limited) but for 35 us$ its a decent really cheap computer. current best model is the pi 3 model b.

otherwise you might be forced to buy online. i would suggest amazon, but look around for the best deal that delivers to your country. the first thing you should do is open up the case and see if theres any physical damage to the mb or anything. then replace the psu (if theres no catastrphic damage to the case) and see if everything works. if you can get your hands on one that is being replaced (like say your dads job is upgrading their computers or something) that could save you the hassle of scrapping up the money.
if the mb is damaged or the capaciters are damaged or broke open, then you may want to pull the hd and gtx950 and try to get a new computer.

I sure hope the psu only fried itself. However, I won't really be able to know until I get a replacement psu.
Sadly, my central american country of Honduras has no working mail system (it's shit. Never used it, and for most of my life I thought that was a thing only cool kids like Murica could use it), so if I wanted to say order things from Amazon I'd have to rent a 'locker' (essentially a third party company that promises to receive your package and keep nice and warm for you to retrieve. It's one of the reasons why I preferred to buy my GTX 950 when I travelled to Florida.)

The psu didn't have that dramatic an ending. I literally just pushed my pc to the side a wee bit after having shut it off, then the psu sparked (which I could see through the vents of the psu), smoke came out of it, I stared at the bloody thing for a good 2 or 3 seconds in shock thinking 'fuck my life' before finally flipping the psu's power switch off. I doubt there's any actual physical damage to my pc, after all, I did spend the next half an hour or so disconnecting my psu from the rest of the computer and then prying it off the case and opening the bitch up to see what exactly sparked up. Mostly I just ended up staring at the guts of the psu for like 10 minutes, maybe more, internally screaming, in the middle of the night in my room.

My dad owns his own company. And in the troubled economy of this country (specially after the 09 coup), he simply wasn't able to keep the little office building he had made a while back. No, I'm not rich. Far from it. His projects do earn a lot of money, but most of it goes back to repay the material costs. The biggest problem he has is most of the companies he does projects for never like to pay in time, so he has to fork out money from his own account to cover expenses of the company while he waits to get his projects paid.

John, relax a little, i work with IT, specifically on the maintenance/hardware area... you have a chance of a nice 80% whereabouts that only your PSU is gone... those thing have some level of protections to let the rest unharmed and the other pieces also have some level of protection so... rest a little better... unless yourself is a case of that really unfortunate Murphy-Laws-chosen-ones

as for your paticular issues of getting a replacement... i cant say im an expert on honduras or anything, but if theres an electronics dump or if any of the tourist hotels are throwing away any electronics its possible to ummm liberate them of the hassle.
unfortunatly the only other semi-reliable way i can think of getting any parts to you would be for someone to take a vacation to there, and meet you someplace.

and john i was just trying to help. to give advice for a low cost solution. like ynsao i also work in IT. a lot of my spare parts comes from the companies i do work for. they often have me dispose of "old" stuff when i do an upgrade, or tear down a pc or laptop that is not working. and a surprising ammount can be reused.
heck i had a hdd i sold to the same company 3 times. it was originally a main drive(secritary's comp), then a raid0(company prez), then part of a raid 10(virtulization/development comp), now its part of their in-house backup. each time i pulled it for upgrades i wiped the drive, then reformatted it. it would sit for a few months, then pulled it out for whatever upgrade they needed it for.
