KingK Wrote:My flash player closes when I press next, but it runs fine in a browser, kinda weird.
Also, the game and the plant room in particular is slowing down a lot now compared to earlier versions.
Good work regardless.
Yeah there is a -lot- going on in the plant room right now. Like 13+ animations? I will go back and optimize it after I finish the rest of the game.
Crossbow1701 Wrote:Gorepete did you add the Vase yet for the end of sloth? The only one I can see it on top of the fireplace. But I can't seem to get it.
It isn't in this version yet.
bob12321 Wrote:Not that I want to steal your work but I was wondering if I could see the actual code going into this project. I have been wanting to make my own games but I'm not really good with Flash. I'm more of a C# and C++ programmer. I'm not asking for the artwork or the actual document but I would like to see the actual event handleing.
On another note great work cant wait to see the ending animation/story.
Let me get back to you on that, I was planning on releasing a bare bones .fla version of this game engine to help others for just that purpose in the near future. There is no stealing here, the spirit of these forums is sharing and building off others!
CactiKillsPorn Wrote:Btw Gore just found a couple of things, when i played through, Dusty's eyes were open in the bedroom scene and i found that the plants wouldn't activate if i cooked the ingredients first
The eyes stayed open the whole time? Normally they take about .3 seconds to shut first (they start open). I will look into these issues, thanks for the report!

Picking up the page in the basement, while also having the cookbook recipie active causes, instead, the user to pick up the ingrediant rather than the page. Minor occurance but still, it's something.
Weird, I will look into it... thanks!
12eku Wrote:The glowyness on the statues is missing!! I'm not sure if you removed it or it is an error but I, personally, miss the glowy light on the statues on ground level. I enjoyed watching the red get redder and the white get whiter but *shrug* its your project brosif.
Yeah, the glow was based on the old score mechanics (+1 strength for each good/evil act on whichever statue). When I changed the way the scoring was done, I had to remove that feature. I liked it too, and will look for a way to sneak it back in.
12eku Wrote:Just in case it hasn't been brought up, as i haven't read every post in the thread. Azeral, which is remarkably similar to Azrael, seems to be a huge icon in the major monotheistic faiths. Throughout each (hebrew, many forms of christianity, islam, etc.) Azrael is the angel of death and helped by god. The name literally translates to the Helped of God. Rather than a deamon bent on corrupting man. But, again, its your project, just an FYI for you.
(and as a disclaimer. I just googeled it and cross referanced it on a few sites. My info is not professional or to be considered absolutely factual)
I just pulled the names out of the air because I thought they sounded neat
I really don't know anything about the subject of actual angel/demonic names.
Lucky777 Wrote:Maybe call him Azazel, like the demon in "Denzel Washington is awesome and 'Time is on my Side' becomes a scary song".
Fallen
Smackman Wrote:Azazel wouldnt make sense, he's a lesser demon i think. of gore were to use real angel and demon names in correlation with sins it would end up being like
lucifer
baal
mephistopheles
michael
gabriel
uriel
etc etc etc just a little too much
Meh those are overplayed. You see them everywhere. I just made up two names so it would be somewhat unique to this game.
