LOK Rebirth 0.4

New Cenvir content
Three new sex actions in eight progression/repeatable events.

Sex sounds
Most of the animations have sounds now.
I've had only one day to set up this, so there's room for improvement.

Minor changes
- Main Title music is now more 'anime-ish'
- Dick wetness layer implemented (very basic atm)

Looks good so far. I have no animation/drawing skills, though.

Welcome back, Kuja! I have to say I was always a massive fan of your animation style and models. Would be lying if I didn't sploosh a little when I saw this post.

Thank you very much GoRepeat, but I'm a bigger fan of yours than you're mine lmao, your projects rocks and you do finish your stuff!

Wow! What a pleasant surprise! I remember seeing your work back in 2010 and thinking it was amazing. Your skills have matured into something even more incredible. Sadly I don't have the skills to help you with your work, all I can offer is moral support. I look forward to seeing what you end up creating.

Oh fuck off...

But seriously, these are bloody great, especially Krystal's expressions. You should totally do a collab with some talented animator/programmer (GooooRe? *nudge* *nudge*) and MAKE LEGEND OF KRYSTAL GREAT AGAIN!

There's never enough LoK games, and we've seen exactly 0 of them since LoK vG which came out almost 3 years ago.

I'd say you should rename the thread and move it to Creative Corner. "Another LOK Attempt" sounds like if you just took the original LoK sprites and tried to do some low-effort "game", and the LoK forum section is pretty dead in general (Hell, I wouldn't even find this thread if I didn't decide to stalk through GoRe's posts the other day). The more people see your thread, the bigger the chances of you finding some folks to work on the game with you, and CC is most likely the liveliest place on the forums.

I don't have the power to move it to Creative Corner and I don't know what name I should use instead of its current name. I'm just trying to "remake" the original LOK game right now. If I ever manage to finish this then we can add new content so idk. Maybe I should wait for an admin to move it for me? I don't even think I can delete the topic myself.

Try poking one of the mods with a stick a couple of times. They'll either bite your head off or move the thread for you. Worth a try ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Despite not thinking it'll change much, yes, you can move it to CC and thank you very much GoRe.

first up: those models look stunning. Great skill on display.
second you are looking for coders and animators.
What is the language/suite you will be using? If it is Unity I'm willing to pitch in with a couple of scripts.
If your preferred option is Flash I wish you the best of luck as I am unfamiliar with the language and suite. And my short forays into it have thought me not to get involved :)
I will be keeping a close eye on this thread whatever way you decide to go.

Why hello there!

I'm interested to see what you do. I'd love to offer help, but I'm a real amateur and I know enough about project management that my "help" wouldn't actually be helpful. I can only wish you luck.

I don't think Alcander is still around, but I'd send him a PM if you're interested in using any of the Area52 backgrounds for you game. I thought they were solid. If you don't have access to the archived posts from that forum, then I can help with fetching assets, though it's not entirely organized.

Edit: Alcander hasn't posted since 2012. If you want to contact him, send him an email, not a PM.

Edit2: I'm very forgetful apparently. Alcander was coding and engine, RonPepper was backgrounds. His signature has a link to all his backgrounds. Last visited May 2015, so he's another to consider email ahead of PM for contact.

Actually guys, I'll let whoever code/program it decide which kind of language he should use. I'm no specialist after all, If I ever need to readjust those sprites/models to suit his needs, I'm fine with it. I'm just the guy that draws, I'm no project leader. However, I'm hoping that we can at least redo the entire original project and focus on something on a small scale, so our chances of finishing it are bigger and like I stated before, if we ever manage to finish this, then we can think about what else we can add via patches I guess, so keep that in mind when choosing an engine/language.

I think that project needs more people. I would like to be involved in creation of some project with Krystal and even to learn some new language for that  if it will be nesesarry.
But i have not got enough time now so ... I can not spend to much for anything unfortunatly :(

If you decided to create some thing it will be good to think about game play first. If it will be some kind of original LoK game with room by room gameplay then even flash will be enough.

If some kind of open world - flash will not be enough. You will need some kind of storage libruarys for flash or another dev tools.

Read a little about unity - but as i understand a lot of functions are limited in not professional version may be i am wrong. If so it is bad too

For a long time unfortunatly i think that LoK topicks on this forum always have the same problem - 1 may be maximum 2 people try to do some thing and do not have enough time / motivation and etc to make the game.
But i hope it is possible to gather together and make some thing good ;)

Despite saying I'm not the project leader, there are a lot of things that must be discussed with the assembled team about how we will work on stuff such as animation methods, which animations should we include or not, poses and everything else you can manage to think about 2D gaming creation inside the paramenters I stated before(which are the ones I plan to work on, but things can change, who knows). There's a lot of do's and don'ts that we should discuss. I'm not going to work on it alone anyway so I got to hear what the others have to say aswell before stating anything else.

How the FUCK have I missed this thread? Your artwork is awesome! And a new LoK game? Yessssss. :3

I know a few things about programming, and I could help out with this project if you want. But the good news is that you don't need to know dick about programming to make a game. You can use tools like Construct 2, GDevelop, or Stencyl to make games without needing to code. They're all perfectly easy to use, and allow for rapid game dev. :)

Alternatively you could use RPG Maker. A lot of adult games do, and seeing a LoK RPG would be a different and interesting thing.

For animation, I'd suggest something like Spriter or Spine. They make animating complex characters super easy to do (and are ideal for game dev), although admittedly the end result isn't nearly as good looking as frame-by-frame animation.

Either way, I wish you luck with this project. There aren't enough good furry games out there, and I know how it feels to let a game project die.

Have fun! :D
