Simply put, it's mostly because of what Doxy said in their response to S-Purple, that they want to "steal" the art to make something similar for BS, which is triggering all sorts of red flags. It'll be safer to get new designs going for this game, for simply because we don't want to be associated with either S-Purple or H-Bomb just in case they want to do something that might involve any legal cases.

So we got an artist for this and we while it'll be nice for Doxy to be interested in the game, they're not the best choice...

steal art? You mean from breeding season? I think it belongs to the patrons as much as the creator

That's not exactly how that works. All that art that S-Purple did very much belong to him to begin with once he was put on board for the game. It technically didn't belong to the other patrons, unless a couple of them specifically asked for a certain character to be drawn by S-Purple, that art is all his. So if he wants to up and take everything from them, then he had the right to do so.

What I mean by stealing art is basically referring to Doxy going in and doing similar to tracing work to where the art looks completely identical to S-Purple that he might as well used S-Purple's work to begin with. That can raise some serious problems if the game goes back up and the art used in that game looks very much like it did before it was taken down. So if like S-Purple saw that his "art" is being used again in the old game, he could go in and ask to take it down, all because of how similar the art looks.

Also, it's not a good sign that, as an artist, you want to "steal" from another artist that did wrong for a game. Sure S-Purple did a wrong, but it's not right to do another wrong on top of that (like doxxing S-Purple?)

Ultimately, ownership of the art comes down to contract law. It depends entirely on what contract the artist had with his patrons or his team members.

Morally, I think you're right though, yamayashi, the people who paid money to see Breeding Season completed were really shafted.

They also tried to support .swf with Unity, but that didn't go anywhere. Believe it when you see it.

Unity doesn't need to support swf or ren'py. Its system is simple and intuitive enough to accomplish goals of both environments.

Its a work in progress anyway. But it's something to keep in mind for the future if it anything ever comes from it.

The impression I got from reading the article is that ren'py will provide an export for the Unity Player engine, not that projects will be ported from one editor to the other. Which is a small thing but potentially *very* useful because the unity player is used similarly to the flash player, but for more complex games with larger file size limits and 3d support.

Hello Everyone,

Shames here with an update for you guys as a tide me over of sorts while we get things settled for a demo for you all to enjoy. I going to start by giving you a proper introduction to the team and then I'll get into all the fun stuff you want to see.

So let me start by introducing you to Code Bunny Studios, We are a group designed around bringing erotic games. Our team consists of our team leader and coder Evildumdum, LairdEnvy our second coder, ValturNaa is our resident lore machine and a writer, VintageBass is our character Designer and another writer, Jumbo70 is our very talented artist and Me as our PR and community manager who dabbles in art and spriting. Our Goal is to create a game that's enjoyable to play and fills the needs of our audience.

With that out of the way I can get into the things people want to see. We have some art teasers for you as provided by me and Jumbo. I'll start with his work.

Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Jumbo has prepared this lovely Claw Wolf

So is it all going to be humanoid monsters or are we getting more animalistic ones too? A lot of people are miffed at S-Purples new game only being humanoids so it might be hard to get support for this if it's the same in that regard.

Of course you can't just directly copy what BS did because S-Purple will be all over that but imo I feel like this revival should try to be more like BS than this Cloud Meadow or whatever game seems to be.

Looks like they're making something totally different and putting the BS tag on it to get that Patreon money of BS fans.

My advice generally would be to do what people want, within reason, as in don't cut things like futa out of it like they're doing with Cloud Meadow. Neoteny is totally understandable, that is one of the more weird things.

I'm not sure what this aversion to futa is all about, maybe people drawing aren't in to it but if you're already doing dick art is it really so taxing to apply it to female models...? Weird.

ValturNaa Wrote:Also, bear in mind that this is a discussions thread. I'm sure we'll be announcing the project under a very different name, once we settle on one that works for everybody. The purpose of this thread was to gather a functional team interested in the revival. We now have five members and a number of proposals on the table for gameplay elements. At the rate we're going, we should have a working world lore, basic story, and five monster concepts by the end of the week at least. Once we decide certain key game components, we can start working on a tech demo as proof of concept. Which means the purpose of this thread has essentially been fulfilled, and now we just need to create a project thread to keep people updated on our progress.

ValturNaa Wrote:We are working on a demo, it is not finished yet but it is coming along. When the demo is ready, it will be appearing under a different name and we will provide a link to the new thread.

I wish you would read back before making assumptions about our intentions with this project. If the quotes above are not clear enough, we will not be presenting this project under the name Breeding Season or in any way connected to it. This thread was built before we knew what direction the project would be taking, as a means of gathering a team to make it. The teaser by Shames only contains a small part of what we've been working on, and when the demo is ready, we will be setting up a new thread, under a projects category, and provide links from here. BS Revival will then be locked. Until we have something substantial like a demo to show, there isn't much point in creating the new thread. And until we release the demo, we won't be setting up a patreon.

That said, I haven't seen any "aversion" to either neoteny or futanari on this team. We won't be handling either one the same way BS did, however. And while I also hope for some more feral monsters to be included in the "full" release, we are attempting to limit the number of chores involved in the initial creation. That means 5 or 6 monster types, tops, and only 2 genders a piece to limit the number of animations initially required. After the full game engine is ready, there will be nothing to stop us from adding many, many more monsters and regions. Indeed, we are already starting to build up a backlog of monster ideas that will only be appearing later, and the seeds of stories that will draw the player to many regions beyond the currently planned land.

Hello Stevenator,

I felt the need to properly clear somethings up given there is either miscommunication or a misunderstanding. Firstly I want to get out of the way that this project will not be a direct clone of breeding season. The project will be its own IP and released as such, this thread was a way for us to get the team together and is being used as a temporary thread for us to post updates for interested parties.

Secondly we wish to provide a pleasurable gaming experience while keeping the game fun to make for ourselves, what appears and won't appear is up to the teams comfort levels in working with certain fetishes. I can't speak for anyone on the team other then myself in terms of what lines they draw on their work and what they will and will not do. My lines blur based on my given mood but I have a few lines I won't cross (those being things dealing with scat and the like). Personally I'd love to include ferals and non-anthro monsters for people with bestiality fetishes, in the future that may be a reality.

Speaking as an artist who has interacted with many other artists during my career everyone has things they won't do and yes there is a huge difference between drawing nude males and futas, its not just slapping a dick on a chick. I know artists who won't draw nude figures in general and others who don't care as long as they get paid but the only constant is everyone is different. That's just how the human condition works, what some people like other people find offensive.

Thirdly touching on a few things simultaneously no game to come out no matter how much they try to pander to the audience or try to include everything will be perfect for everyone. Neoteny or as it really should be called as lolitas are as much of a common fetish as futas, so is pregnancy, bestiality, rape etc... People are always going to disagree on what should and shouldn't exist in a game. You might think Spurple is wrong to remove Futas but thats his choice just like its your choice to want futas or mine to want [insert x fetish here].

Hopefully I've cleared up that we are making a game that includes features we want and that the target audience wants while keeping it something we wish to work on. We are not making a clone of breeding season though we have a similar theme, Monster breeding.

Shames.

Yes, the general body of the Wolf looks good, but her claws look rushed, and they look rounded. Maybe that's what they do to some domesticated Claw Wolves, kinda like de-clawing a cat, but they just look like they were added on in MS Paint to make a shitty OC.

Your first guess was correct. This is a domestication thing. Here's a little basic lore regarding the claw wolf.

These manlike wolf monsters are savage fighters in the wild, but the two massive claws on their hands are large and straight, and when filed round can be used as dildos. Indeed, they have often been hunted in the past, and the phrase "wolf claw" is used culturally in reference to a dildo, even one made of other materials, while simply "claw" implies a dagger. It was recently discovered that wolf claws could be filed round without hurting the wolf, and this practice has spread among monster trainers in preference to that of de-clawing the beasts.

As they where harking in huge loads of money - $42.3k a month according to here - I don't think they are gonna let others take the fruits of their labour.

Let's be VERY clear here.

Copyright is not, has not, and WILL not be the issue here.

Copyright law is only for when you're put into a judicial court system and face off against all the BS for corporate control of what artists produce.

The entire fiasco is with an inept manager and an artist who controls what HIS work has done. Regardless of that, you using the work may cause some issues but that's not likely to be the case if one is already working and the other is only smearing the relationship while you make something entirely different.

Just to be absolutely clear, all intellectual property, character and art assets to be in this project are to be original creations or publicly owned.

So I just found this thread and decided that out of boredom I'd draw a Cowgirl (Inspired from earlier post) and Bunnygirl (Also inspired) at 5am... why am I even awake you ask?! Because I saw this damn thread and got ideas D: I hate you people for activating my brain at this horrid hour. But I also love it. Abusive relations.

Anyway, here are my unfinished, unclean and slightly messed up attempts at the two mentioned creatures.
