This was up for consideration early on but I opted not to do that. Instead, as the game goes on NPCs will transition from the basic, traditional trainers that players recognize to more adult oriented versions later on. Such as PokeManiacs going from cosplayers to PokeFreaks who have a pokemorph giving them head or riding them in the trainer are.

Also, Sycther has the link to Seadra's pic. Might wanna fix that.

Jolteon's boobs, Magmar's fire and a lot of similar details will be fixed when White Vine touches up the artwork. But I agree, not entirely sure what happened there or what I was thinking at the time.

Fixed the link. Thanks for letting me know about it.

No. The sizes of their heads were intentional. Some of them have larger heads because I tried to keep their original essence intact as much as possible.

The Nidorans are a special case though. They were part of a loli experiment. Oddish, Poliwag, Abra, Machop and a couple of others were given the same treatment. Only the Nidorans survived.

Would you be willing to make Geodude's arm stubs a little longer? I feel like in the horny image it looks kind of like the Venus De Milo. Also to me Voltorb just looks like it's sitting on XJ-9's body. On a side note I absolutely love Staryu and Starmie.

That....would have been an amazing reference when I was designing Geodude. I didn't even think about Venus. I'll see what I can do but I won't make any promises. Geodude has a complete set so the changes will have to wait until all other sets are done. I plan on making the same announcement when all sets are done.

That's probably cause Voltorb is sitting on XJ-9'so body. I used XJ-9 for Voltorb's reference.

Brief update. We still have quite a bit to do before we finalize chapter 2. But look forward to a HUGE update. We're filling in all missing scenes from chapter 1 and the first half of chapter 2 and adding in about 4 or 5 events just around Cerulean.

We could really, really use another artist to help out and speed up the process. If any are lurking about please send me a PM. I'll provide some examples of what we'really looking for.

I haven't seen all the pokemon yet (151+ images will take time to get through), but I did look at a few. The Mew one seems a bit...off to me. Based on the first movie, Mew is really rather tiny. So seeing her have humongous boobs is a bit shocking. I was expecting her to have tiny boobs to be more like her original body type. I'll say more of what I think after I look at them all.

Mew is on my list of potential redesigns when I get to completing the sets. I tried giving her a smaller, almost lolicon look but couldn't find a good look for her. Still, looking forward to hearing more feedback.

Now for a quick update. We're almost done coding chapter 2, which we packed -a lot- into. Realistically, I'might the only thing that will be holding us up once we get through the bug testing.

I'm having difficulties pumping out the scene art which, the few I have, are still in line art form. My forte is with battle art and I'm struggling with the scenes.

So, seriously, if there are any artists lurking about please send me a pm.

Aw no. That's really distressing. I liked the way Mew looked. The fact that it went completely against what you would expect of Mew is what made it so great. And also on that note, the big boobs were great.

I'm sorry for any misspelling, I'm not very fluent in English so I'm depending on online translator
Note: I am a bit of a perfectionist and boring with details, do not get 100% what I say seriously (after all could not do even better :| ).

In my opinion about the appearance of pokemorph (in a quick analysis) WHAT can improve:

venusaur:
I slightly exaggerated the amount of "warts", but to be a feature of the original pokemom is not very strange.

Squirtle:
I think it possible improvements your body makes it more detailed?

Pidgeotto:
This good, so I thought it was very tin the left wing, this a very crooked position.

Fearow:
His face could be modified more, let more friendly.

Nidoking:
The appearance of the front could be more detailed legs, smoother?

Wigglytuff:
It could be more detailed, and the most adjusted to face the way they pokemorph.

Paras:
The less aggressive mouth? although it is the same pokemom right.

Meowth:
The front image of the face looks a little bumpy for the body.

Golduck:
The most friendly face?

Bellsprout:
The body could be smoother? less rustic.

Grimer:
The face is not like me very nice, middle undefined.

Onyx:
The pose Horny could be sexier.

Cubone:
Particularly, I prefer the previous version, but it was not bad.

Jynx:
I think so need to improve the posture of the back.

Gyrados:
I just thought it was kind of weird tail in Horny pose.

jolteon:
I found very masculine body, rustic, maybe something softer.

Flareon:
It's just fix a little face is a little shrunk.

Omastar:
I was a little afraid of her, especially the mouth.

Zapdos:
I think the legs got a little strange, look like they were twisted.

Mewtwo:
Honestly I thought very aggressive face, very rustic and masculine.

mew:
And as some people think, does not match the original, perhaps something more loli

In relation to mew, I also liked the current appearance, what happens and when some imagine to mew in the form of the human body, they have the sense of a small body, something more delicate, something slim. This current appearance means that broke this expectation, something more "loli". But for me it does not matter, I was just making a, say, watching for some people expected of Mew.
Note: I noticed a misspelling in the Mew. :o

No Problem, the English language can be very confusing to word out do to all the different meanings one word my have

The Orginal had warts and so will ares

??? don't really see what you mean, see how it is not very strong looking but instead smooth all over matches what squirtle is like
NaoSei Wrote:Pidgeotto:

the wing being in its colapsed position? it is basically like what a normal bird would do to keeps it's feathers protected and clean by having its wings tucked and agenst the body.
NaoSei Wrote:Fearow:
His face could be modified more, let more friendly.

Ok, no, have you seen Fearow's family tree in the anime or read its pokedex entrees, this is not a friendly bird but an aggressive one
NaoSei Wrote:Nidoking:
The appearance of the front could be more detailed legs, smoother?

It is a big masculine male pokemon, if anything, it would be less smoother and thinker muscles
NaoSei Wrote:Wigglytuff:
It could be more detailed, and the most adjusted to face the way they pokemorph.

??? what?, if you are refearing the white patch covers a good potion of her body? looK Wiggletuff's pokemon sprite.

How is that aggressive? it's mouth is just like Pinsir's but very small and not even open.

will give you that one, but don't see how any changes will improve the way it looks

NaoSei Wrote:Bellsprout:

its a plant, plants are not smooth except maybe some leaves and flowers
NaoSei Wrote:Grimer:
The face is not like me very nice, middle undefined.

Noticing a tread with the word nice, it is little a sludge monster, the face droops a little for that reason
NaoSei Wrote:Onyx:

how to make a two to three story tall monster that moves like a snake and is made of pure stone sexier than exposing her female parts?
NaoSei Wrote:Cubone:

you are refering to the version used in humbird0's game, those where temps untill we had drawn new original art for ares.

Agreed, but basically the tail is doing a wave like pattern behind her body, like what gyrados does normal to swim

This one we know needs changes
NaoSei Wrote:Flareon:
It's just fix a little face is a little shrunk.

I can see that, but you must remember, the white hair mane she has does cover most of the head and neck of the original pokemon
NaoSei Wrote:Omastar:

be afraid, that one fits the original pokemon pretty much if you just look at the head
NaoSei Wrote:Zapdos:

yep, I can see that, have no arguments with that
NaoSei Wrote:Mewtwo:

Have you seen the first pokemon movie, this pokemon does not mess around and is very powerful, it deserves its aggressiveness and masculinity
NaoSei Wrote:mew:

Really? Look at all the picture, look at the size of what are small pokemon turned into morphs are like, there is a good reason we don't make them look younger than needed in anyway, if anything, just use your imagination that you are just look at this pokemon very close to you, like a foot or two away, it could still be two feet tall (not inluding tail) and still have that body.

Now, now Deadman. Play nice with the other Pokemorph trainers. :P

In truth, I would almost say that I crave a lot more posts like this one. So before I respond, I want to thank you for taking the time to type this up. So thank you!

Before I do the individual responses, all of the morphs will be receiving a 'polishing' before getting transferred into the game. White Vine cleans up the original art, smooths them out and does more intimate detail work that what I covered. So expect some of them (or possibly all of them) to look much better in the game.

Also, each piece was done trying to keep two things in check: the integrity of the pokemon (its looks resembling as close to the original as possible while changing little other than giving it a humanoid body) and the personality of the pokemon. Pokemon, like other animals and people, still have emotions and expressions. Some of them are happy-go-lucky, some of them are naturally dumb, some of them are arrogant, depressed, humorous, lazy, sexy, etc. I tried to match personalities with the pokemon so that all of them didn't look like pin up girls. So if a pokemorph looks scary or aggressive it's because that pokemon was scary or aggressive.

NaoSei Wrote:I'm sorry for any misspelling, I'm not very fluent in English so I'm depending on online translator

It's alright. Where are you from originally, if I may ask? Oh, I'm taking everything you say from here on out seriously. But that's fine cause I can handle criticism. :P

NaoSei Wrote:venusaur:
I slightly exaggerated the amount of "warts", but to be a feature of the original pokemom is not very strange.

I just noticed I uploaded the wrong Venusaur image. Oops. As for the warts, not really exaggerated. But after looking over all of the Venusaur (pokemon, not morph), I could easily remove the warts from her torso. It might look better that way.

NaoSei Wrote:Squirtle:
I think it possible improvements your body makes it more detailed?

Ah, I think I see what you mean. Are you referring to her joints (elbows and knees)? If so, that can't be helped. If you extend Squirtles arms and legs without joints that'd look kinda of flabby.

NaoSei Wrote:Pidgeotto:
This good, so I thought it was very tin the left wing, this a very crooked position.

As Deadman said, the wing is folded in on itself. The arm, itself, however is a bit long. That might be what's throwing you off.

NaoSei Wrote:Fearow:
His face could be modified more, let more friendly.

This goes back to what Deadman said as well as what I stated above. Some pokemon are just mean looking.

NaoSei Wrote:Nidoking:
The appearance of the front could be more detailed legs, smoother?

Nidoking will likely be changed in the future. Nidoking is my first Futa drawing ever. I just wanted to emphasize on the addition. I personally want to make her a little more masculine, muscular and aggressive.

NaoSei Wrote:Wigglytuff:
It could be more detailed, and the most adjusted to face the way they pokemorph.

I'm not sure what you mean here. Could you elaborate on the bolded part? Otherwise, Wigglytuff is a rather plain pokemon. Other than giving her a bit more round figure and belly (which I think White did, I'll have to check) there's really nothing more I could do for her.

NaoSei Wrote:Paras:
The less aggressive mouth? although it is the same pokemom right.

Yeah, that mouth can't be helped. Sorry about that. Just don't go sticking anything in that particular hole and you'll be fine.

NaoSei Wrote:Meowth:
The front image of the face looks a little bumpy for the body.

I think White fixed this too. It's a lot more smooth and shiny now.

NaoSei Wrote:Golduck:
The most friendly face?

Dead2112man Wrote:more like why am I even bothering fighting you, the face of someone who does not care

Not going to lie, Deadman's response made me laugh. As stated before, some are not going to be friendly. Some may even be uncaring.

NaoSei Wrote:Bellsprout:
The body could be smoother? less rustic.

Yeah, it's a plant with bark for skin. It's meant to look that way. However, White did smooth it out a bit and brightened the colors. So you'll have to wait and judge the in game model.

NaoSei Wrote:Grimer:
The face is not like me very nice, middle undefined.

The face mimics Grimer. Not sure what you mean about the middle section though, most of it's covered by her arms.

NaoSei Wrote:Onyx:
The pose Horny could be sexier.

i....honestly think Onix is pretty sexy looking for a mean, 2 story tall, rock snake monster. She became even sexier after White fixed her.

NaoSei Wrote:Cubone:
Particularly, I prefer the previous version, but it was not bad.

What Deadman said. Also, White completely edited this one. Same pose but made her more...condensed? She looks smaller and much better.

NaoSei Wrote:Jynx:

Not sure what you mean either.

NaoSei Wrote:Gyrados:
I just thought it was kind of weird tail in Horny pose.

What Deadman said.

NaoSei Wrote:jolteon:
I found very masculine body, rustic, maybe something softer.

Yep, Jolteon will likely be overhauled when we get to updating the art and finishing the sets.

NaoSei Wrote:Flareon:
It's just fix a little face is a little shrunk.

Also what Deadman said. If nothing else the main could be larger.

NaoSei Wrote:Omastar:
I was a little afraid of her, especially the mouth.

But. If you zoom in you'll notice she actually has lips and a normal mouth behind the exposed 'teeth'.

NaoSei Wrote:Zapdos:
I think the legs got a little strange, look like they were twisted.

It looks strange because she's flying. If she were standing her legs would look like a normal double jointed bird.

NaoSei Wrote:Mewtwo:
Honestly I thought very aggressive face, very rustic and masculine.

It was intentional.
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

"Well, she's a man...soooo...."
Yep. Mewtwo has a little 'surprise' on the other side.

NaoSei Wrote:Mew:

I may have found a middle ground to the Mew conundrum. I'll have to get back on this one.

I love hearing a bit of creative criticism like this. I know that in my writing, such criticism hurts when I receive it, but it makes my work better once I get over my pride and think about how the criticism is right or wrong. And there are times when I feel like the only person who tries to give it in every online location where I find myself. Mostly I can only find it in sites specifically dedicated to critiquing various kinds of works, and everywhere else, almost all I see is either I love this or I hate this. It's like people forget that there are real human creators on the other end receiving their comments, or perhaps they simply don't care because their online presence is anonymous in all but username.

Personally I favor a bit smaller boobs across the board, but Dapper and I have had this discussion, and I won't attempt to impose my ideals on his art style especially when we are so close. I have enough responsibility as it is without trying to control the art department. And in any case, many pokemorph boobs are shrinking and shaping up beautifully when White can find the time to make them shiny. So, generally speaking, I try to either say something in the concept stage (privilege of being one of the devs I suppose) or bite my tongue and wait to see how it comes out in shining. The best example I can think of thus far is cubone, who was never terribly heavy but gained quite a bit in the shining:

You can see the beautiful new battle art for my creator avatar (shrunk down for my profile image) which features my avatar's signature pokemon, Arcanine. As the chief story architect and coder, I can also promise that you'll be meeting my avatar for the first time in the next release, even though he will not appear in battle at this time.

On that note, I want to apologize to people who were hoping for a new release by now. Our scheduled release has been postponed in order to allow the artists (who are finally getting some personal time to make progress again) to catch up with the content and also to allow me the time to code all planned events in route 5. Bug fixing cerulean city and the other events to work with humbird's newest editor has been a lengthy and frustrating process, and I have almost quit on several occasions due to this. But deadman and I are finally working out the last known bugs for the current content and I will be able to resume coding new stuff shortly. There is no guarantee we will have scene arts finished for all content when we do decide to release what we have, but at least we should have more illustrated scenes and fewer "scene pending" pics of eevee pleading for a little love. This is a frustrating process for dapper as well, and we are searching for solutions that make the job easier for him.

Full disclosure: I didn't read all 22 pages to see if this was mentioned. But I found a glitch that cost me a good 30 minutes of progress. The game soft locked when I picked up an item at the same moment a random encounter occurred. I could no longer use any key inputs - I could still use the mouse to open up the keyboard control UI but that's about all I could do.

Just a big problem with the Humbird0 engine, we have done are best to minimize it for the next update, but it might still happen every know and then, best way to avoid it, make sure you are not moving when you pick things up or fish for now.

Yes. The humbird engine has many flaws. I intend to fix this particular issue in a new engine by not allowing player interactions until all movement code (including random encounters) is resolved. There also appears to be a problem with multiple tiles receiving player location at once. I've gotten dual battles this way, sometimes referencing entirely different lists from one another, and one tester reported up to eight battles back to back, even though the code only makes one call each time the player changes tile location. And according to him, he wasn't given the chance to move in between all these battles.

Unfortunately, my coding skills are limited, and a course from which I should be able to learn many of the skills I lack to make this project in gamemaker will not come out until December. But I have been talking to a highly qualified coder who believes he can construct the engine pretty quickly in java. So it's just a matter of waiting for him to have the time. If he falls through for any reason, January is the earliest I would expect to make any substantial progress on the engine design. Meanwhile I'm doing some experiments with different methods of tiling that will allow large maps and versatile movement with high performance, and continuing work in the humbird engine.

Hello, I just started the game yesterday, and I am enjoying the more story driven game compared to humbird0's version. I still enjoy his but I like this one has more story from the beginning. I just made it back to Viridian City after going to Oak because of the Explosion. None of the officers let me Go on and when I go to Officer Jenny, she has no dialog on how to leave. What do I have to do in order to Leave Viridian?

Maybe I need to add more hints for this particular stage. Your goal is to go to the lab (the tall building with holes in the walls) and talk to Dr. Magnus about the virus. Once you do that, the path ahead will clear up. Unless I messed something up. I could see how maybe the officers should direct you there...I'll have to work that in somehow.
