A new version has been uploaded.

- A MacOS version for the game updates will be uploaded from now on.
- The new version contains a new character sprite and a CG picture for the Ice Spirit
- Several bugfixes
- Improvments on dialogs
- New CG scene (Spoiler details below )

The walkthrough has not been updated as I’m working on a wikia page to replace it. I think the wikia will be better arranged than a pdf file and make it easier to find the informations you seek.

You have done really well with this project so far.
I might not create games, but I will test them, Then I will give advice on what I think needs to be added, removed, or improved.

I just uploaded a new version 16.07.16 to fix a bug at the police station. The update also contains a little event for a 1on1 battle between Brad and another brawler in the arena of the capital. This cage match is supposed to be the first of many matches for Brad which I'll add in the near future.

I'm also aware of a problem some Mac users have with the game. It's being investigated and I'll try to take care of it as soon as possible.

I uploaded a new game version 24.07.16. This version contains updated plugins which will fix problems like disappearing savegame files and possible game crashes. Since this fix was very important I made the upload before finishing the new content so nothing new is playable for now. Therefore you only need to upgrade your game from the last release if you’re having any problems with the game.

Oh cool, so the game randomly closing down was just a bug?

I’ve uploaded a new game version for all systems. The update contains:

- A fullscreen option in the menu (it’s also possible to just press F4)
- New UI layout . Please let me know what you think about it! =)
- A short scene with my artist Scarlett. Please note that it’s meant as a joke and she’s not really that horrible of a person.
- New map items show pictures of certain parts of the world map with the names of all areas. This should make it easier to find every accessible map and locate areas you need for a quest. This change also includes new names for most major area shown by signs at the entrance of each area.
- Merchant at abandoned village in Amagal selling red slimegirl essence.
- Some enemies are stronger now.
- New CG scene with Elly.
- New events with Sandra in a new dungeon. This treasure hunt with her involves some riddles. Please let me know if you felt them too hard or easy and if you managed to solve everything.

I’ll be away from home and limited to my laptop for a while soon so if you find any bugs or problems please let me know quickly. It’ll be easier and faster to fix it while I still have my PC. Thanks!

I made a very small update with some fixes.

- Hints for Sandras first treasure dungeon room have been improved.
- Dead plant as the treasure dungeon has been replaced to avoid possible confusion about it.
- Sandra and Ryen will now "share" the items from the final treasure room. This won’t decrease the actuall reward you receive.
- Made a change to the thief girl events to avoid getting the event with the portal at two different locations.
- Other small changes


The walkthrough has been updated but I haven’t done this in a while so let me know if anything is still missing. :)
The RPG Maker MV got an update. I haven’t seen any problems with the game yet but if you notice anything please let me know.

But i think you should get the strategy and diplomatic system asap so you can get more people to play it

I believe the way he has the game should stay as it is, sure a "strategy and diplomatic" system ...... wait, what do you even mean by that. This game does have some strategy to it, which is fine. but a diplomatic system, why would that draw in more people? This is how RyenSaotome wants to tell his fictional story, no need for a huge Diplomatic system to be inserted

You could set trade agreements with the different Kingdoms, hire dwarf engineers to get more out of your mine, the possibilities are endless really, I love how the game is going, and look forward to each update, but no need to stress the creator ...(yet)... :twisted:

But this game has some great potential...

I have some more ideas for stuff I could add for diplomatic options or more strategy gameplay but I already have a long list with things that have priority so it might take a while. But thanks for your feedback! I always like to hear what the players enjoy or would like to see more/less of. :)

yo no stress :D

But there is a war system planed? I only thought it would get more attention on the game if its implemented earlier because i saw mostly developer Posts here and no comments of Players. A lot of great art is done alrdy and in my opinion it would spice up the game lot :D

I only got praise for the Game and wanted that it gets more Honor from Players :D

And if you need some ideas etc ask me we got same motherlanguage i played nearly every game here and in other Forums x) But LoK is best <3

Yes, a war system is planed. :) But I still need to think about how to make it work out in the details. Maybe once I have a clear plan I can squeeze it in. I actually enjoy making up system with the mechanics given by the rpg maker to challenge myself and see how far I can get without plugins. :D

Hey, not sure if you have much control over this (assuming you're working from Windows, not sure if you can easily change file permissions for MacOS binaries), but I noticed an issue with the MacOS version which many users might not know how to solve: Game.app/MacOS/nwjs doesn't have user execute permissions on, meaning if you try to run the game it'll just say "Application can't be opened" with no helpful error message. I assume this has to do with how you're compressing it or uploading it (automatically disabling execute permissions on executables or something), but unfortunately due to the way MacOS applications work as far as I can tell there's no easy way for users to fix this if they don't know some terminal-fu/otherwise have an above-average level of understanding of how the OS works.

(If any other Mac users are having this issue, the fix is pretty simple: open up Terminal, type in "cd /path/to/Game.app" (you can drag+drop Game into your terminal after typing cd if you don't know the path), then type "chmod u+x MacOS/nwjs" and everything should work (EDIT: See below))

Incidentally, great game so far!

Edit: This issue is a bit bigger than I thought at first. The game would boot up but crash instantly. This bash script makes things work properly (when run from within the same directory as "Game"), at least insofar as the game now launches and works at least for a while. Will report back if there are any other issues.

I do work with windows, which is why I have little knowledge about Mac and have a hard time solving problems for the Mac version. I only started to upload the Mac version since someone tested it before and said it works without any problems but that seems to be different on other Macs.
The compression is done by the RPG Maker MV itself.
The game folders inside of game.app are "read-only", would it help if I disable this?

I am running a 6 yr old Macbook Pro on El Capitan 10.11.3 and have really no issues with the MV compressed Mac versions of many games now. Attached is a list. I have no special settings on my system - HD was recently rebuilt but other than that a standard device. That some systems would have a problem I can only guess that they are running advanced settings or something else not right out of the box...
