heh, i'm glad i waited to report the abandon house scene not working until after i read the whole thread before posting about that bug, but yea the times i did get it to work it threw up an error

Although I know there is a bug in the abandoned house that needs to be fixed, it can have some funny implications. Like how has kyle not gotten the guiness world record for most time fapped. Before I read the thread and found out about the bug, I though i would try waiting and so i waited 99 hours and kyle is still going strong.

I still don't know how some people can get the missing cutscene to run. Any details you can tell me? And thanks for the compliment! Too bad I can't finish it anytime soon until I get a replacement graphics card.

I've actually made it so that any hours you select after 24 is still fixed at 24. So you've only actually waited 24 hours and not 99. I'll eventually make the wait UI a slider (a la Bethesda games) or a simple 2 digit selector to make it more clear that the maximum number you can wait each time is 24. I should probably also make it so that you can't wait during an important story sequence.

You said that, you in terms of fetishes will do anything without breaking the law or do some of the most fucked up shit that dont even relate to sex. but how far are you willing to go? Bestiality? or making ppl look loli althought they clearly arent? I hope yu good luck with your project and i wish you could be a bit more simplistic about what you are going to do.

Furthermore I read that you want the game to be a running foreign video world, althought being unobstrusive,keep in mind that it should feel like a job in any way, ever thought about job progression like in Bandit assault by Draga?

I think "anything" is too strong a word. I'm not about to include anything I personally feel disturbed by. Like scat, for example. I'm not about to condemn anyone for liking scat. It's a fetish. I don't care. I just won't do it. The bar's pretty high though, feel free to ask if you're unclear about a specific fetish. And while I can't give you a detailed list of what I planned for fetishes, there's a pretty rough list of what I'll do and what I won't do. As far as bestiality and child/loli/shota sex goes, bestiality is definitely planned. But any child looking characters is off the table. Period. It doesn't matter if said loli is over 9000 years old. If she looks like a child, she not gonna be sexable.

There's definitely going to be some form of "job progression," but I'm not spoiling anything yet!

Hey, I think I figured out the problem as to why the cabin scene doesn't start for some people. I played through it a few times, and every time I hit "Yes" on the first selection, the scene doesn't start. When I hit "No" though, it starts just fine. Probably a switch that needs to be fixed. Which is actually working as intended. The first choice asks whether you wish to skip the intro or not. And the scene in the house is part of that intro. So the scene not starting when you chose yes really isn't a problem at all (the missing Player.png file is fixed though). There IS a cutscene actually missing in the Forest Path though I confirmed that for reasons unknown the two cutscenes sometimes does not even run after having done a thorough playtest. So I fixed that now. It'll be in build 4.2.

And for some relevant news, I was actually going to update the link for build 4.2 on my blog and inform everyone. But I took it down again to do some more bug fixing. So yeah, I have to make you guys wait again. Woohoo!

Pre-build 4 is a train wreck. Quality Assurance is important, people. Don't neglect QA.

Some things were tweaked and added, much bugs were fixed. I believe I fixed most major bugs I could find. I didn't exactly document every changes I made this time. Also something to note is that I found out fast forwarding causes some of the events to not run properly. While mechanically this doesn't break anything (all switches and stuffs still runs properly), it'll sometimes make an NPC or two invisible. So just something to note, don't fast forward if you want to watch the cutscenes play out visually as they're supposed to.


I've also removed the changelog from the OP. It's getting kinda annoying to update multiple changelogs. So I'll have to annoy you by making you read the changelog either in the downloaded game folder or the tab on my blogspot to save myself from the annoyance.

if it'll help i'll upload saves of it working and it not working, so all you have to do is move down once to trigger it or not trigger it, i'm not sure if you can figure out what switches are triggers like that though

edit never mind, it seems that the previous poster saying the first question meant "what about you, <name>?" answering "yes" doesn't let that scene trigger, saying "no" lets it trigger

Thanks, but that won't be necessary anymore. Whatever the problem was, I fixed it in build 4.2. I still don't know how the problem appeared in the first place. I believe I fixed it, but let me know if the problem still persist somehow .

And just a heads up for everyone, I'm working on updating the dialogue in the house scene and porting them over to my animated text bubbles system (most existing dialogue is already ported over except the house scene). So look out for pre-build 4.3. Build 4.3 is gonna be the last stable update for build 4. After that, I'll be working on the long awaited story content for build 5. (Am I the only one excited for this?! Moar story!)

Hi guys! To be a bearer of bad news, I'm delaying the update again. I'm just generally being an unproductive ass for the past few days. But long story short, I've got my hands on a decent laptop that can handle Photoshop, started drawing again, and I decided to draw a one off manga of Captivity. Once again, details on my blog, but here's a teaser.

looks neat, those would make for an awesome way to add an intro/backstory and maybe what's going on outside in the world while the people are stuck in there

MOAR TEASER! This is a WIP of the cover art for the manga. I'm only showing the faces of the characters because everything below that isn't in a presentable state. You'll just have to trust me when I say everything beside their faces are currently just wire frames.

These are the two main characters of said manga and also the major characters in the game as I mentioned on my blog post. I'm still debating whether or not I should make a separate thread for this manga. Lemme know what you guys think.

It's unlikely that I'll reveal anything that's going on outside in the world. I won't say anything more than this to prevent revealing a may or may not be major plot point and or twist. :>

Hi again. I should really stop posting teasers and shit. But I'm an asshole, and I like posting teasers. So, yay! More teasers!

And just so this doesn't become spam, I'll reveal a little more about the two above characters. The man on the left is Resonance, guild master and founder of Integrity, one of the highest ranked guilds on the North American server based in Estal City. And the woman on the right is Meowtiny, guild leader and founder of Kitten Overlords, who's also based in Estal City. The requirements for entering the guild is to have both Cat Ears and Cat Tails equipped at all times, which lead many to believe Kitten Overlords to be a roleplaying guild.

Besides world building, character development, expositions, one of the other reason I'm making this manga is to showcase the universe and its quirky characters more and generate some more interest in the project. Because, you know, the game is progressing really slowly and I haven't even progressed the story to the point where you meet these characters yet (which supposedly happens just a little after entering the city). So, yeah, manga. Here you go.

Also, I think most people think the whole "trapped in a video game" setting is VERY cliche, but a cliche isn't inherently bad. This is my take on the genre and setting, so, you know, give it a try. Not that there's much to try as of yet...

I don't mind the trapped in a video game. So far the ones I've seen are yours and another one in development here, Artifacts of Adaar.

So looks like Meowtiny has a firearm of some kind, is it a musket or a rifled gun, if I may know? I'd think musket since we do have magic and most people are wearing armor and so I'd assume that swords and melee type weapons are still more common at the moment? Sort of ala Rurouni Kenshin / Meiji era?

Artifacts of Adaar has the trapped in a video game as its setting? I didn't even know. Mostly because the OP didn't say much about the game's plot, but eh.

I touched on this a little before on my blog, but DragonSong is a weird hybrid of high fantasy and modern fantasy. For example, Estal City's architecture borrows many elements of medieval, Victorian and even modern aesthetics, for which you'll see in the future in game and subsequently in the manga. Meowtiny's clothing design in particular, (aside for giving me an excuse to have a character that bares a lot of skin) leans toward a modern military tacticool look with hints of high fantasy in it. And as stated in the flashback character creation scene in the intro, there are 4 main classes. Warrior, Magician, Archer and Rogue. And Meowtiny is one of the 2nd advancements of the Archer class (I'm being vague with her class because I still have no names for the 2nd advancement classes yet). Her gun is the Pioneer's Rune Rifle (more context in the manga). Which is, well, a rifle. There's also muskets, but hers in particular is a rifle. The overall design of the Pioneer's Rune Rifle is somewhat inspired by Warframe's Sybaris. Look it up to get a general idea of the full aesthetic of the gun.

tl;dr, it's a rifle. And this game's universe is weird.
