It seemed there wasn't a way to placate the poor girl, so she continued to hold her for a bit. After a bit she left the child to be held by the human and approached Luva at the gate. Trying to get as good of a look as she can both ways down the hall she spoke to Luva, "so how are things with you?"

"Thank you for the help.", Maxwell will say to the half orc,"This must be the madness spoken of when discussing blood elves. If so then she will be a liability. I will tend to her wounds and sedate her, unless someone has a better idea."

If no one speaks up after a moment Maxwell will use the supplies in his kit to sedate the blood elf and treat her injuries. He will also check on the elf he brought with him and make sure she's well.

Eliza Sharpfang
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

"I dunno. I don't know how I feel about this all. I mean, if I'm sold as a slave, I'll most likely be bought by another Alchemist. And then I'll be back to doing what I was before, just without any pay." Luva said, turning to look at Eliza as she spoke.

Maxwell Brewer
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

The half Orc simply waves him off. "It's nothing. Honestly, I would have preferred to just kill her off. Blood Elves are just bad news, no offence." She says, looking at the other Elf. "None taken." The regular elf replies, making the half Orc continue. "Unfortunately, our slavers believe she'll go for a high price if they restrict her with obedience spells. And if she was to be found dead by our hands, we wouldn't live long ourselves. And I don't know about you, but I'd rather live and hope for a better life than die as a slave without having tried." She tells him.

Concluding his conversation, Maxwell left the Blood Elf in her capable hands as he began applying simple treatment. He didn't have much in ways of medical supplies since the bandits had only provided him with the most basic of tools and medicine, but he could at the very least clean the wounds. Once done, he went to check on the Elf he had brought with him. He noticed her beginning to show signs of discomfort about laying on the cold ground, most likely meaning that she was close to waking up if she wasn't warmed up soon.

Maxwell will pick the elf girl back up, doing what he can to keep her warm and comfortable. Looking over to the half orc he'll say,"I'd enjoy discussing the philosophy of your opinion sometime." With a smile he will add,"So make sure you live long enough for that to happen."

Returning his attention back to the blood elf he seems to think for a moment. She is currently a liability since he lacked sedatives. But even that was a distasteful idea considering what the half orc said. Leaving her here would see her magically forced serve another.

Perhaps there is another way. With a sigh he addresses the blood elf. "Young elf, listen well as this may be the last time you're asked to make a choice. If we leave you here you'll never be free to roam where you wish. Unfortunately your wild nature is a liability to us so we cannot set you free. Neither choice is agreeable, so I will give you a choice. I propose you choose to allow yourself to be magically obedient to me so we can all leave and be free. We have little time to work out details but I do promise I wish you no harm. What do you say?"

Aelius shrugged at her question "I had no idea, I did what seemed best, and rushing into that thing might have seemed like a smart thing to do for you, but it certainly seemed foolish to me!" He sighed, actually after all this action, chatting with Auri seemed like a great thing to do, but he agreed. "Lead the way, I'll carry these swords along, we can give them to the others once we're back."

Maxwell Brewer
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

The half Orc simply huffs before responding. Don't worry, I don't plan on dying for quite some time."

(Maxwell's charisma roll: 18. Success.)

As Maxwell begins speaking to the Blood Elf, he notices that it actually looks like she's paying attention to him this time. But as he finishes she looks at him for a short while before bursting into full blown laughter. Once she calms down and opens her eyes again, her eye whites and irises are missing, her eyes being nothing else but black marbles with an endless darkness within them. And then, she begins to speak. "Gon galmed druxmedgisg gisgnagondruxveh gonmedvan vandruxgalgraphdonfamgisgundruxgal. Famnagraph unurdongraphungalgon famgraphdonvangraphfam vandruxgalgraphdon talgraph, Galdonmedfamfamun. The Blood Elf simply sits there as if waiting for a response while Maxwell notices that all the Elf's previous injuries are gone.

Maxwell arches a brow in thought and looks to the others in the cell. "She offers to help us leave so long as she is allowed to deal with our opponents her own way. Considering our situation I feel the deal is agreeable.", he'll explain.

Eliza thought about the undead's situation. It was certainly very bad, but she wasn't certain what she could do about it. One thing was certain if what happened to her was the same as what almost happened to Eliza it wasn't right. Even if the bandits were caught the slaves were still slaves in the eyes of the law regardless of how they came to be slaves. Her hand clenched in anger as she considered this. "I wish there was something I could do. To think how close I came to being forced into slavery by an illegal band of cut throats and the government just deciding that's how things need to be is infuriating." Unable to hold back she wound up and punched the bars hoping to hear a satisfying ring from them.

Auri nodded in approval. "Good idea." opening the door to the storage room so they could continue searching, albeit at a quicker pace. The elf could only hope this place wasn't as large as some of the ruins she's seen maps and diagrams of before.

Hearing someone opening the door of the storage room, Vella quickly darted back into her hiding spot before they got there, glancing down to see who was coming out. She felt somewhat relieved to see the two people from earlier leave, meaning whatever had caused her to sleep earlier had likely been dealt with. Vella tried to keep hidden and watch them go, planning on slipping down to check out the storage room herself.

Maxwell Brewer
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Closing her eyes again, the Blood Elf began speaking in the same tongue again. (Translated for all of your convenience since Zero Paradox figured it out.) "Well, then. I thank you for giving me the opportunity to enlighten my follower about her misgivings. Had it not been for you and the absence of magic, she would have continued to act like the rest of my followers. Hopefully, through her, the others will be brought from their madness as well." She spoke before a pink light began shining through her clothes with it's origin being on her back. Opening her eyes, they were back to normal. Waiting for a moment she this time spoke with a different voice, this one a bit lighter than the other one. "So, could you ask Mrs. Mountain here to get off of me?" She asked, looking at Maxwell with her red eyes. The other slaves in the cell seemingly frozen in either fear or confusion.

Eliza Sharpfang
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

"A slave is a slave, not much you can do besides finding an Alchemist willing to remove the branding. Of course, there is always the slight possibility if you somehow can prove that you used to be a legal citizen of either this city, or were kidnapped and enslaved somehow. Then the royal law keepers would find an Alchemist for you. Of course, it isn't easy to present proof when you're a slave." Luva said, sighing. The Elven child beginning to calm down.

Auri Von'athem
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

As she was leaving, Auri suddenly hear the cat's voice again. "You're lucky, you know that?" Turning back around, she saw the cat sitting a little bit away from where it had been lying just a moment earlier. Now however, it seemed completely unharmed. "You've managed to take two of my lives in the matter of a single day. Not many can claim to have done something like that. And honestly, I'm afraid I might lose a third against you if this continues. Fortunately for both of us, I promised myself to retire once I was down to my last two lives." The cat stated before pointing a paw towards the door, a clearly audible 'click' was heard from the door. "I've unlocked the door and you're both free to leave, I will show myself out." The cat said before turning to black dust and flying past Auri, the door slamming open as he makes his way outside of the room before stopping in the corridor, reforming and looking back. "Ah, I almost forgot. I cast a sleep spell on a nosy Elf on my way in. Just thought I'd mention that." He said before turning back into dust and disappearing out of sight.

Aelius Feralian
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

As Aelius follows Auri to leave, the black cat makes it's appearance once again, unharmed. Much to Aelius confusion, instead of attacking, it simply opened the door for them and left, but not before informing them of someone else most likely still being nearby.

Vella Antina
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Unfortunately listening through the door wasn't easy. But a few mumbled words were picked up, not enough to know what they were talking about though. However, as soon as the door seemed to unlock with a loud 'click' Vella tried getting away from the door.

(Vella's Dexterity roll: 16. 16+18= 34. Success.)

Vella easily manages to get away from the door before it swung open violently and even managed to get back to her earlier hiding place. A black dust cloud made it's swift escape before stopping and forming into a cat who informed those in the room about it's apparent encounter with her before disappearing.

Overhearing the cat that materialized mentioned her, Vella became worried. She wasn't sure how they would respond to her presence learning about it this way. She had been considering revealing herself to them beforehand, but on her own terms. Now, the... magical cat... presumably the thing that put her to sleep in the first place ... was providing them with information. Maybe they were on the same side after all. Panicking, Vella retreated even further away from the door, trying to keep hid and back off to avoid capture.

Maxwell will help the half orc up and off the blood elf, then help the blood elf should she need it. "How do you wish to continue from here, blood elf? You are currently the strongest one here and the deal is you get to handle the undesirables as you see fit.", he will ask respectfully.

Her eyes widen at the sudden sound of the felines voice. For it to be back alive already. The cats words do little to ease the fear in her gut she struggled to mentally beat into submission as she turns to face the cat once more. Auri quickly follows it out of the room watching it vanish around the corner before glancing around curiously. Were they really being followed? She wondered.

Maxwell Brewer
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

After helping the half Orc of her, the Blood Elf stands up and both of you are able to get a better look at each other.
(Imagine this girl without the wings and weird hand as well as the hair piece.)

"I guess I owe my thanks to you for giving my goddess the opportunity to save me from my own madness. The very least I can do is come with you. You interest her and it would be withing her interest not to lose you. I would also be able to save any other of my kind that we come across. Should any prove to stand in our way, I'll deal with them. I don't have any plans of my own besides following my goddess." The Blood Elf explained before walking out of the cell.

Eliza calmed herself as she listened to Luva talk. "It's sad to think, but if I don't get away before they brand me I don't think I'll be able to prove it. I'm not a citizen here, and I doubt the bandits would have had a reason to keep any of my caravans documentation that would have proven I was on their payroll. It just doesn't seem right this could happen to me or any of us for that matter." Getting a bit anxious again she takes another look down the halls, "They've been gone a while now. I hope they haven't run into any trouble." Trying to avoid worrying about it she walked back to the other two sitting herself down and giving the elf a pat on the head.

Eliza Sharpfang
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

"I agree with you, the world is an unfair place. But we take what we get and make the best out of it. But the world, as it is now, needs slaves. If all slaves were to be suddenly released, it would be devastating for everyone in Berra." Luva said, shaking her head lightly. "The others will be back. I'm pretty certain they'll be alright. The Witch cat is easily dealt with if you can distract it or get the first hit in. I've seen it fight with one of the guards. While he did lose, he did reveal some weaknesses as well." She said before continuing to stand guard.

Maxwell motions for the others in the cell to follow him as he exits to keep up with the blood elf. "I'm glad i could help. It is a joy to be able to work my profession at my own bidding. So, by what name do you wish to be addressed? I go by Maxwell. And I'd offer my hand in friendship but I currently have this lovely burden to bare.", he'll nod at the slumbering elf in his arms.

Spoiler (click to show/hide):

As Maxwell leaves, the other just shake their heads and remain. "It's no point for us to leave, we're already branded and can not escape like you can. Good luck to you however." As Maxwell followed the path the Blood Elf was taking, he was a little late with picking up some slack."You may call me Ayla." She responds while continuing to walk down the corridor, not even looking back while addressing him. "I do however believe friendship would be too strong a word right now. I do trust you. But friends is not something you become in just a moment." Ayla says while tugging a little at the rags she was clothed in. "Damn these are uncomfortable." She complains while continuing to walk.
