Character sheet finished and ready for approval. Some changes in equipment, modified last part of the background. I'm not 100% happy with how the background turned out, but I don't feel like rewriting it. It would be generally the same anyway, with only details and some wording changing.

So, that's it, I guess.

Still looks fine to me. I'm letting people have ALOT of freedom with what they want to do. I put an intro up in the last post that you can use, if you like

So what are the Eldar-Ork relations like? I know that the Eldar are all about preserving the race and such but what do the Orks want? I'm in the rare case of my character knowing more about the universe than I do. So uhh only indulge my question if my character would know anything about Orks, which so far as I can tell is debatable.

Here are some choice quotes which should explain Ork wants and needs

Eldar look down on humans as being savages, so hold Orks with much more disdain than that.

Travellin' through space is boring. Well, boring unless da hulk yer on is full of dem gene-sneakers, or a base fer da chaos lads wiv da spikes, or already has Boyz on it. Or if humie lootas come callin', that's always good fer a bit a sport. Or unless yer have a mutiny or two to pass da time, or unless strange fings start happenin', which dey usually do when yer out in da warp. One time we had some bloody great ugly fing come straight out of Weird Lugwort's 'ed! It butchered half da lads, that was pretty entertainin'. Come ter fink of it, space is a pretty good larf. And that's before yer find yerself a nice world ta crush!

Now, where’z we gunna get enough red paint ta make a sumfing as ‘uge as dis Kill Kroozer go fasta?

We’s stomped ’umies, we’s blown up stuff and we’s driven our traks from one end of da world to da uvva. We’s gonna come back next year!

We’ve got our Gargantz an’ we’ve got our weapons. Wot ain't we got? We ain’t got anyfing for target practice iz wot! So I'll tell you wot we're gonna do. We’re gonna give da Humies a taste of ‘ot metal death is wot. We’s gonna take Big Gork and Big Mork ‘ere an’ we’s gonna stomp Hummie!

I'm da hand of Gork and Mork, dey sent me to rouse up da boyz to crush and kill ‘cos da boyz forgot what dere ‘ere for. I woz one of da boyz till da godz smashed me in da ‘ead an’ I ‘membered dat Orks is meant to conquer and make slaves of everyfing they don’t kill.
I’m da profit of da Waaagh an’ whole worlds burn in my boot prints. On Armour-Geddem, I led da boyz through da fire deserts and smashed da humies’ metal cities to scrap. I fought Yarik, old one-eye at Tarturus, an’ he fought good but we smashed iz city too.
I’m death to anyfing dat walks or crawls, where I go nothin’ stands in my way. We crushed da stunties on Golgotha, an’ we caught old one-eye when da speed freeks blew da humies’ big tanks ta bits. I let ‘im go ‘cause good enemies iz ‘ard to find, an Orks need enemies ta fight like they need meat ta eat an’ grog ta drink.
I iz more cunnin’ than a grot an’ more killy than a dread, da boyz dat follow me can’t be beat. On Pissenah we jumped da marine-boyz an’ our bosspoles was covered in da helmets we took from da dead ‘uns. We burned dere port an’ killed dere bosses an’ left nothin’ but ruins behind. I’m Warlord Ghazghkull Mag Uruk Thraka an’ I speak wiv da word of da gods. We iz gonna stomp da ‘ooniverse flat an’ kill anyfing that fights back. We iz gonna do this coz’ we’re Orks an’ we was made ta fight an’ win!

I've considered my character as not very judgemental, in Eldar standards, picking possibly the least stuck up of all of the Craftworlds to hail from, so if before she was disdainful of orks, she might try and form an opinion of them first hand. I get that it is ultimately up to me if she had run into orks before while raiding or defending. And thanks for the quotes. As far I as can tell they are pretty much the definition of chaotic evil, they just want to wreck shit and kill everything. But the Eldar are pretty evil as well, they could give no shits if the tryanids killed everyone else, as long as the Eldar still lived they'd be happy. I'm just going to have to approach my next post very carefully. Being a lone wolf is always stressful.

Quite correct. In general 40K lore, nobody really likes anyone else, but Orks are somewhat unique in that they can switch who they are fighting at the drop of a hat. Generally, they will pick a fight and go with it, until a better fight comes along. And yes, th Eldar tend to look down on practically everyone as primitive userpers of a galaxy they used to control. You are in a unique position here, however, as the boss of the Orks you have encountered is an old character of mine - a Blood Axe (known for being un-orky, and doing things like trading and hiding) and a Mek. If you have something to trade, then he will be very mercenary about the whole thing. But, he is still an Ork

How close do I have to be in order to land some mind probes and/or other telepathic abilities? Celedra has no reason to think that these Orks are any more or less civilized than the rest of the Orks in the galaxy, and she values her life too much to just waltz up and start a conversation. So can the psychic powers be used at a reasonable range? And by reasonable I mean I could safely run the fuck away if I was noticed.

Most non-physical psychic powers can be used so long as you can see the target. You kind of have me at a disadvantage on the Eldar powers, as I'm not as familiar with them as I am the generic ones. I would assume that, so long as you can be reasonably sure of the target's location, you can pull it off. And there are a lot of Orks

Name: Natalie Greer
Race: Human
Age: 25
Gender: Female
Appearance:
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Image

Background: The daughter to an ArchMilitant serving a Rogue Trader dynasty, Natalie was raised as a soldier. Unlike the dogs that made up the ranks of the imperial guard however her father taught her the ins and outs of just about every weapon money could purchase which she quickly took to. Her physique made her well inclined towards large melee weapons and heavier firearms which was fine by her. As she came of age she often accompanied her father on long voyages serving on the dynasties flagship. Whether it was cleansing space hulks, protecting valuable cargo from pirates or simply protecting the Trader while they conducted business Natalie excelled at her job and may have even taken her fathers place eventually. However the Dynasty met its match three years ago when word of one of its lucrative operations reached Commorragh. The Dark Eldar came from seemingly nowhere and quickly decimated the trade fleet, boarding the flag ship. Natalie fought for as long as she could against the fierce warriors until a sadistic Wych broke the woman's spine and began to toy with her. Whether by the will of the Emperor or sheer luck however the capital ship shuddered from some great internal failure and the resulting explosion slew the Wych and trapped Natalie. The Dark Eldar took slaves, valuables and overlooked Natalie leaving her to die a slow death. However the ships distress beacon was answered with uncharacteristic haste by the Imperial Navy and Natalie was saved.

The few surviving members of the shattered dynasty split the remaining salvage amongst themselves leaving Natalie with enough to aford cybernetic replacements for her spine and some internal organs that were too badly damaged but not much else. With no master remaining but freedom and ample combat skills Natalie began working as a mercenary seeking out areas like Rollards Respite where she could earn a living so long as she could tolerate Xeno's something that wasn't a problem growing up serving a Rogue Trader.

Cocky, and bold Natalie is well aware she's a better fighter than most guardsmen and common mercs. As long as the price is right she doesn't mind working for just about anyone be it Xeno, or heretic. While she holds a grudge against the Dark Eldar for destroying her spine and the trade dynasty she severed she is willing to work with them though she's more likely to double cross or outright murder them once the job is complete. While she might be called a heretic due to her indifference she mostly stays in more open communities like those of Rollards Respite than risk being persecuted in more puritan based sectors.

Probablt best be at the front. It's where the Orks are. Otherwise it's mostly just bumming around in the city.

Also, just waiting on Pheonix, I believe, before I can post again

Whoops, I've never noticed that the GM post was edited, I saw it where there was no mention of my character in it and waited for another GM post.

I'll write a post when I return home.
