Sorry Lilbooth, didn't spot that update. But yeah, spots are open for one and all. I'll give a look over your character in a bit, but from a glance it looks fine. One thing to note, the psyker ability gives you access to a discipline, rather than a single power.

I'm well versed in 40K lore, and Mel seems to know her stuff too. Exalted as well, looking at the shoot. So feel free to ask questions

ok well then I guess I'd love to see a list of disciplines, all the sources i found for warhammer lore just gave specific powers

edit: I found some pretty in depth psyker discipline description so I'll edit the sheet in a bit to reflect my new found knowledge.

Ah, yes. Looks fine. Between us Mel and I have gotten her extra gear sorted out, so now all I need to do is work on storylines for everyone. Anyone have anything specific they would like in terms of starting out? Otherwise it will probably be as follows:
Tau on board Orca dropship on its way to the starport
Battle Sister: At the convent with information on heretical works
Dark Eldar: On a Raider having just arrived
Craftworld Eldar: Stepping out of the main continent warp gate
I am aware that this will likely mean that both Eldar groups will in inside Ork territory, and not get a lot of info about what is going on in the capital, but if people would like anything specific, please do say.

That start looks fine for me. Cramped dropship, lots of fire warriors, dangerous territory - what could possibly go wrong?

what are languages like in 40K? I assume there is some sort of common, like all other rp's, but does each species have its own established language?

Actually language is discussed in several cannon novels and the RP supplements, such as Dark Heresy, for the 40K universe (if by Lore you meant 40K and not this RP, Mellissa).

40K lore wise there are two governing dialects in the Imperium, High and Low Gothic, but that each planet/tribe/country/hive or world might have it's own local language which is separate from High or Low Gothic. Anyone dealing with the Imperium will know either High or Low Gothic, depending on their station, but the average joe citizen might not have clue.

High Gothic is used by the ruling classes/senior military/ educated etc type dude.

It's pretty much all simplified to everyone speaking in "English" in practice, like in the video games and so on.

Name: Jeyla Tarner
Race: Human (Gue'vesa Captain(Gue'vesa'vre))
Age: 27
Gender: Female

Background:
Born on Qual, a world that had to suffer greatly from imperial tyranny, due to a typing error of an administratum adept, who per acciedent raised the agri-worlds tax to 500% percent, instead of the planned 0.0005%. As such the whole population was forced into slave labor, and had to give almost all of its natural resources and food to the administratum. It was in the mere age of five, when Jeyla had to watch how her father was beaten to death by an local troop of arbites, during a hunger riot. Sentenced to death for being kin of a rebel, Jeyla surived the following purge by pure luck, as she was able to hide in the ruins of the farmhouse their family called home, while the rest of her family was arrested and executed. Raised by rebels, she swore vengeance to the empire under the aquila. By the age of seven she was building explosive traps, by the age of ten she was spying on local enforcers and by the age of twelve she killed her first guardsman.
Each strike of the rebellion was followed up by imperial retribution, which only fuled the hate of the people from Qual. What started of as a small desperate rebellion of a few members of the former PDF, turned into a planet wide uprising, by the time Jeyla turned sixteen. Armed with looted imperial equipment and the local low-tech weapons, it would have been a short fight if it werent for an alien power to intervention in the conflict. While many rebels drew the line at working with treacherous aliens, Jeylas, who rose to a local leader, embraced their new Xeno allies. With the powerful Tau weaponry, and support from Kroot and Fire-warriors alike, the imperial force was crushed, and Qual was free. Welcoming the new Tau garrison and administration as liberators, many accepted the chance to join the Tau military. One of them was Jeyla Tarner, who still had the burning desire to make the imperium pay for all the suffering they brought to Qual.

Direct and filled with hate for the imperium, Jeyla volunteered to become part of the auxiliary-force send to Rollard's Respite, in order to undermine imperial authority and prepare the world for the day, the greater good would liberate this world as well as it did Qual. Until then she is quite happy to kill as many supporters of this tyrannic imperium as she can, for only a dead tyrant is a good tyrant!

Another 40k game? Man, I need to check forum more often, I'm pretty much only checking if there's a new update in the game I'm in. Character coming SoonTM
If it takes me two weeks or more to respond to a RP without prior notice, send me a PM. It's more likely I've missed the last post, forgot or got distracted and need a little reminder rather than deciding to drop the game without warning.

Name: Lilith
Race: Human (Chaos cultist)
Age: 25
Gender: Female
Appearance:
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Image

Background:
For fifteen years, Lilith has served as a pleasure slave to a noble involved with minor Slaaneshi cult. While the cult was fairly harmless, hardly anything more than just a bunch of bored nobles fallen to (even more than the usual) decadence spending their time on orgies and bloodsport, they dabbled with forbidden sorcery and hardly even paid any attention to a slave girl being nearby: she was just a slave, after all. But Lilith listened, watched, and learned.
For a slave to Slaaneshi cultist, she was being treated surprisingly well by her master. Sure, she was raped and abused reguralry by the cultists, but she avoided common end of her fellow slaves, being fucked or tortured to death, eaten alive or rendered into drugs. Her master even had her arm replaced by bionics when she lost it to injury from a fight to the death with other slave for the amusement of the cult. All in all, she could almost enjoy her life.
Some time ago, however, her master got his hands on a much rarer plaything: an Eldar captured during a raid on the planet. The Eldar was resisting, of course, but that only made her abuse much more enjoyable. Slowly, Lilith grew jealous of the attention her master paid to his captive, and afraid she'll be disposed of when he had no more use for her. But what could she do? One night, she got her answer: a voice in her dream explained how she could change her fate.
Lilith murdered her owner, then sacrificed the Eldar to Slaanesh, to appease her and avoid his vengeance for the death of her servant. The voices of two Chaos gods explained how foolish and weak the cultists were, complacent with their lot, without ambitions and not depraved enough to be truly worthy of Dark Prince's gifts. Lilith, however? She is the lowest of the low, but she's got the will and potential to raise above mere men, if she dares to. The Dark Gods gave her enough power for start, and are awaiting the amusement the watching of her deeds will bring them... or to claim her soul if she fails.
Lilith is a psyker gifted with powers of Chaos. While she's influenced both by Slaanesh and Tzeench, she lacks true allegience to either of them. Even her long enslavement hasn't broken her will, and while she's physically weak and unskilled with guns, she's got some training with melee weapons thanks to her fights with other slaves, and she's a little more resilient than average human. Her current goals include destroying or somehow taking over the cult of her late master, or creating a different cult of her own. Ultimate goal would be ascension to demon princess, as with any good cultist, but that sort of thing isn't easy or fast.

Stats:
Weapon Skill: 3
Ballistic Skill: 1
Strength: 2
Toughness: 4
Willpower: 8
Health: 9

Skills: Psyker (Tzeench, Slaanesh), Stealth 1

Gear:
Weapons: Last Kiss (Force Whip (3)), Envy & Betrayal (short, curved swords. Bears symbols of Slaanesh and Tzeench, respectively (1+1))
Armour: none. At best, she's wearing some stolen clothes.
Miscellaneous: Bionic left arm (comparable functionality to a real arm, but more resilient and doesn't feel pain. Overall lower sensitivity), Daemonic Familiar (default form is a purple snake-like thing, but can change shape and comunicate telepathicaly with owner (inspired by this), Chaotic Tome (useful for learning how to use her new powers, propably Tzeenchian, just to diversify from Slaanesh everywhere.)
Cash:

In the interest of everyone involved, I'll avoid more extreme stuff that's otherwise normal with Chaos cultists.

Hey, I'm willing to let people play genderised Orks, so chaos cultist is just fine by me. And yes, especially since a cult doesn't need to be large and actively working towards bring Daemons or Chaos Marines to the world. Just so long as no children are sacrificed, that's fine by me :)
