Huge update. huge meaning you basically remade it from the ground up. Starcraft and Starcraft2 while they look a lot a like they aren't so this would be a huge.
Big update. Normally your reworking a lot of stuff. Maybe adding 3 new areas would be considered a big but it could just be a lot of bug fixes.
Small update. Small updates might be 5 or 8 bug bug fixes.
Minor update(not part the 4 numbers) so what notch does is every update he releases with bug updates he adds a underscore and number like _1.
Build update. Builds are basically so you can keep track of the over all updates you've ever done. Public and private. What i normally do is add a bit of code and if it work say "woot" and raise the number by 1. If not i fix the bug or error and raise by 1.

I think I've just discovered an ultra-easy way to do it:
for (var m in _root.Beth) savedGame.data[m]=_root.Beth[m];
This authomatically copies all that variables. And it seems to work!
