Haven't done much this month, sorry. System is ~40% funded. Concept design still unfinished :/

My first post here, been lurking for a while without an account, but decided to make one to post this.
I've been developing games for over 6 years, and I'd happily help you out with programming and learning engine stuff.
I'd prefer to use Unreal Engine though, but Unity is fine too.

Update on the project after a long time. The usb storage hard drive attached to my raspberry pi 3 nas died last week and I seem to have lost almost all of the content I created... I still don't have my new system and have been working with a mid level laptop. I think I'm going to wait until the new am4 platform comes out before I decide amd, intel, or nvidia and what the new build plan will be to suit my needs and budget. As of now I'm practically back to square one...

riddlebox1321 although the 1366x768 option is low on votes is better consider it because is the default Laptop setting i believe, i have one dell with geforce that is gaming inclined and it is 1366x768 and i work with IT and 90% of the notes that i looked was 1366x768.

Anyway, just a note. Good luck with the project.

Thank you for your insight. It's very helpful.

I've been watching how titles like rust and farcry primal handle gameplay for open world survival games and how some new games might handle it to find design ideas to copy and go off of. I'll leave a link below of some new games, maybe you guys can help me brainstorm and find things that would be great in a game, please tell me what you think. Also, I've been focusing mostly on learning how to use agf pro to create maps but that's about it. I will most definitely need help making this game. I plan on starting the dev team within a few months once I fully understand the legal issues with creating a game with creative commons and patreon.

Update for June.
I've decided to go with a Ryzen 1600x cpu, a gtx 1080ti and 32gb of ram for my workstation; I'll have to wait another 2 months but it'll be worth it. The full build is posted on the main post and a video log will be added once it's done.
For the meantime I've been playing around with AGF Pro, Unity, Blender, Gimp, and Fuse. I may be getting rid of Fuse. While it works well enough, it has been a very naughty program and doesn't play well with Unity or Blender. AGF Pro is great for creating levels and cells quickly, but I don't know how to merge them for open world design. For dungeons, caves, buildings, and closed areas AGF works great. I'm still figuring out how to port content from AGF Pro to Unity, once I do things won't be so limited.
Now is a good time to hop onto the project. If you're interested, please message me through the forums and add me as a friend. Currently there is no dedicated team, there are a few interested. Members of the team are volunteers who will be recognized for their work and may be compensated later through funding on patreon. If the project pulls enough funds, a donation to a school, library, or charity may be possible. The project still needs coders, modelers, writers, and sound effects producers.
The game will be free. The most recent builds will be available first to donors, and second to the public. The goal of this project is to create a free, modable game with as much open sourced content as possible.
The plan for lewd content is to be introduced as mods. As of now I will not be able to work on anything lewd due to work policy limitations. Until there's a person or team in charge of lewd mods or dlc it will be up to the community to produce them. As for any other mods, anyone can create them.
