webought Wrote:I just noticed the random guy in the bunny girls room has a Sephiroth LINE!

Burning inside with violent anger.

xD in latin lol

but uh, yeah the revenge dom thing, very pro

should make it so magic classes can use it without being crippled

only problem I see is the door to the twin's room gets flooded with chaser npcs while you do the scene in their room then when you try to leave you cant because it bugs and you cant activate them or anything their just blocking your exit so your virtually screwed lol

btw you should make a Purity potion that when you are going into that pure slut slave game over mode you can resort to that so your purity goes back to like uh 4 or something real low but alive still cause a game over really bums you out xD

other than these things
epic
dont stop lol

Heh, glad someone else caught the Sephiroth reference!

I will definitely look into fixing that door to the twins' room thing. I'll likely just modify the door's script slightly so that it doesn't try to force you to walk forward or something, so that you can at least allow them inside, have them chase a bit, and then escape when the coast is clear. Silly me, I originally put the door in so that the guys won't bother you while you have sex with the twins. LOL.

Erm... well, if I had it my way, I'd take out Game Overs altogether, but keep in mind that it's more of a game design thing; not a lot of games, let alone H-RPG's, have this 'no lose' mechanic to begin with, so that makes my job a lot harder than most, I'd say. Because, what if I WANT people to see a certain scene? Then what if they lose? Sure, I can put them back a room or two and just lower their Purity, but if they go to the scene again, it's like Gwyn will have been attacked... twice? Three times? While saying the same exact lines? Or am I going to have to make alternate scenarios for the second time and so on, for every single cutscene that involves a battle? And that's just one example, as to why I temporarily chose the 'Game Over' route with some looking for relatively timely releases.

I mean no offense at all in the manner that I speak, and I really, really, appreciate your support. I'm merely trying to illustrate my point of view from the designer's standpoint... that balancing storyline and design was tougher than I was actually prepared for when I first started this project. So yeah, I'm definitely going to try and cut down on Game Overs, as well as turn some existing ones into 'keep playing' options, but it'll be down the road and not immediately, as honestly, I'd like to add some play time onto the game first before going back and fretting too much over the details, cause doing only the latter can drive someone nuts. So don't sweat it--I definitely hear where you're coming from and will try to fix this in the future, but I'm just going to have to ask my players to be patient as it won't happen overnight.

:D

Heh!
Updated to 0.06C, which has a super lame/quick/cheapfix to the twins' room in the Chambers, providing an alternate passageway so that you won't get trapped in by the chaser bandits as easily.

Good job. I think he's a bit easier with characters who are capable of some sort of stunlock, be it via paralysis, stun, sleep, confusion or otherwise.
To be fair, Gwyn's only level 4, hahaha... she's not terrible though, I'd say stat-wise she's a cross between Emilia and Cesca with slightly less OP skills, at that level anyway.

Yeah. The more he frustrates people as a boss, actually, the better I feel in that I know I've done my job correctly in making him seem strong, when compared to the other enemies anyway. LOL.

Hmm, been reading through the thread progressively and such - kinda had a suggestion so as to make Gropo the Clown relevant beyond just being some weird, jarring individual. I think people suggested making him some kinda minigame where you gotta answer a bunch of questions and such - but if you wanted to be especially sly you could make all of those questions weird and bizarre play-on-words or just ridiculous answers. Like 'when is a door not a door' - rather than the obvious 'when it's ajar' response, a clown might turn it into 'obviously when you've taken it off the hinges and put legs on it and call it a table!'

In turn, perhaps as a 'lowered purity' kind of deal, failing to answer his questions might result in him dressing the girl like a harlequinn, bit by bit, something which would likely be humiliating for some of the girls, until they're fully changed, possibly resulting in a Game Over - or if you wanted to be particularly sly, a Class Change and an appearance change until they remove the disguise. Think of it like a visible Curse scenario. Plus it's fun because harlequin girls are hot, dammit.

'What, you wanna see an H-scene with the Trouble 5 already?
Naw, they just got introduced. I'm usually not THAT gratuitous, when it comes to enemy characters anyway. You're probably gonna have to beat them up before you're treated to anything of the sort.

Haw. Gwyn was my idea of the les update; originally I was going to add more but eh. I'll continually add more in both the monster, group and F/F category as I continue since those seem to be the most popular trends, though I'll sprinkle a little of various things as well.

... I failed to mention, despite writing a wall of text, how much I liked the scene you get at the end of the latest temporary game-over boss.

ALSO

A question to the thread. It ain't a poll or anything like that, and I don't intend to actually MAKE a poll, but who are your favourite of the arcane division?
I like Adele's positivity, Concepta's scientific approach, and Svetlana's professionalism, but the gloomy one doesn't do too much for me, and the bitchy one ... well. She makes me want to shake fists. Not BLOOD, MURDER, GUTS, GORE AND MAYHEM like Wolfram, but ... ooooh man.

Dunno if they'll grow on me though.

They might. Hell, I actually DID NOT like Lanie at all at first, before she somehow jumped up into my favourites from the game. True story. XD

So, out of curiosity, how much health does our suave swashbuckler have? On an aside I rather enjoyed his personality and thought he was pretty cool. Still, he must die for interrupting sexy time AND stealing my woman! I digress; this is a great update and leaves me thirsty for more RPG goodness in the future and, if I may be so bold, I do believe that you and your team are doing very well and up to the standards of older Final Fantasy titles and other NES and SNES era RPGs in terms of dialogue and combat - with some differences of course - and minus the H-scenes obviously. I tip my hat to your fine work!

Hahaha Lucky, you hate Wolfram that much, huh?
The girls might look kinda similar since obviously I've mainly working with portrait edits, as I'm not too keen on using the facemaker as it makes things seem a little too large, and I try to go for relative consistency in that case.

Well... Eliese (the pessimist) was just something I came up with since her original portrait looked a bit like Nebula; so I went with an expression from the faceset that just made me laugh when I looked at it. Also intentionally chose different hair colors from the ones provided, to add to the whole variation thing.

Erm... Briony (the bitchy one) makes me laugh a little, actually. I'd probably hatefuck her, at least.

Concepta acts as expected of her looks, so she's... well, there. Good for people who like glasses girls. I imagine she'd be a favorite to most.

Svetlana was someone whose personality I had in mind to contrast to some of the others. Adele was supposed to be shy and quiet but I figured to make her a little more normalish, I guess.

Has someone checked Thyme's Curse of fire? If I'm not mistaken it works only on one enemy. I ocassionally rewrote save and cannot try it again on my own.

v0.06 is quite good, but...

* I miss the trio of sailors in the bar - in this version you do them 9or get done by them) once, then that's it; in earlier versions they respawned
* the Dominatrix outfit you acquire should be useful for more than revenge; ther are a couple of slavegirls in individual rooms who could stand a bit of dominating. ;)
If you notice this notice, you will notice that this notice is not worth noticing.
