You glanced up, just in time to see something diving down towards your direction like a missile.

So I decided the only way out, was to just struggle my way through with only my bare hands-" He was cut off as a Herdier came in, carrying a small watering pot to water some of the flowers by the edge of the observation deck, you quickly recognized him as the Herdier from back at the gates. "Oh! Captain! I see you're already meeting up with the big hero of today, huh?"

"Yeah, a horde of like hundreds of Zorua attacked Claw Town while you were out."

"And this guy here, he roared and literally scared all of them away, even a big Zoroark who was leading the pack and had just mopped the ground with one of the Explorer Veterans."

"Anyways, I got some flowers to water downstairs...Uuhh, good day to you!" He stated, before walking back off downstairs. The Braviary just kind of stood there, beak tightly closed as he stared at you from the corner of his eye, seemingly now pondering whether he should continue his story or not. He let out a short 'eh' and simply rubbed the back of his head. "So uh...What's your name?"

As you walked after Khan, you quickly found the Rescue Leader walking about in the hallways, fixing up his armor around his collar, until he turned around to hear your request, listening in to you. "So, why don't you take the rest of the day to ask around for people who could accompany towards the Forest of Fairies, hmm?" He proposed. "I'll get the paperwork sorted out and you can come by tomorrow to head out once you got at least...Say...Two other Pokemon, to go with you. That sound good?" He questioned, smiling warmly at you. Glancing over around, the two of you were currently just outside of the hospital, he finished up the pack of gummies and tossed the pack on a nearby trash can. "The guild is a good place to start...But, yeah, ask around. Maybe try to contact some of the other folk you met up here in Claw Town, I'm sure you'll find other people who'd love to be helping."

Alternatively, looking up to the skies, you spotted a Braviary landing somewhere off in the distance, you could only assume that was the Guild's Headquarters or something...Maybe you could go over there to look up more information on the virus and the current efforts against it...

Rikku

This is her first good look at the place, and it certainly was busy from the looks of things... although it was more likely than not thanks to the virus crowding everyone in here. Still, it was somewhat charming in its own way, and it took Fe awhile to refocus on what she really wanted to do... help out with what was going on. And just as luck would have it, she manages to spot the local leader of the Rescue team. What better way to help the cause than speaking to the pokemon in charge? Without a second thought, she barges into the conversation, grabbing both the Arcanine and the Lopunny's hands and shaking them, saying, "Hi! I couldn't help overhearing you two! Something about a mission, yeah? And you're Khan, leader of the Rescue team, yeah?" Fe asks, turning her attention to Khan shortly after a few more rough handshakes for both mons. "Name's Fe the Maiden, at your service!"

This time is rather peaceful, even when it's just simply being spent cuddling up inside of a ball of jelly. Ashton was pleased to see the roof when he took the last few steps. With how high up this was the view just had to be perfect. He was not disappointed with what he saw. The land stretched for miles out in every direction. While he couldn't see the details the sheer scale of it was enough to take his breath away. Below he could see the town with everyone going about their business. It also appeared he had impeccable timing as the sun was just starting to set putting a wonderful display of color on the horizon. He would certainly have to consider coming up here some other time when he just needed a good view.

His awe was interrupted by a strange whistling noise. Searching the roof for the source he finally found a sign indicating some used this place as a landing sight. His eyes barely had time to look up before someone suddenly came down for a landing. Ashton had to look away as the burst of wind from the landing pokemon blew past him. His hair now a mess he finally got a good look at the huge Braviary. The man quickly spotted him and walked over. Ashton soon found himself introduced to Basil, but before he could introduce himself Basil moved on to a tale of his latest exploits. Basil certainly enjoyed hearing himself talk as he regaled Ashton with the story that was probably at least a little embellished.

The story was soon interrupted by the Herdier from the gate come to water some flowers. He soon told Basil about the happenings at the gate and Ashton's involvement. Ashton still wasn't quite comfortable with all this hero talk surrounding what happened at the gate. He also wasn't sure what to make when Basil considered him once the Herdier had left to water some other plants elsewhere, but he seemed to remain amicable giving Ashton the chance to introduce himself now. "I'm Ashton, sir." He held out his hand sheepishly to the larger pokemon.

Before you able to walk out, both you and Khan are taken over by the small Klefki, Fe, who takes both of your hands and greets you excitedly. Khan chuckled heartily, gladly shaking her hand back. "Yes...Hey, Cotton, maybe you got your first companion right here." He proposed, chuckling a bit still. "Anyways...I need to head back to the guild. I'll see about providing you with a map...Or maybe transport." He mumbled, rubbing his chin as he walked off ahead, leaving the two of you to share the information on the mission yourselves.

"...I see." Rena mumbled, glancing around a bit in thought. "I'd say your performance was perfect, dear. You be sure to let me know how that goes and I'll be sure to come around again." She stated with a big wink, watching you get up and leave, she lifted up a hand to deliver a flick to your butt with her gel hands as you walked off, giggling to herself on your way out.

At any rate, you proceeded on your way back to the top, just in time to see Snow sitting on his desk, dozing off with his head slightly down. When you entered however, a small bell by the door rang and woke him up, which got him to sit somewhat upright. "Ah...You're back...Well, the review from the client should be coming anytime now then..." He stated, sticking his hand out for a tube on the wall. There was a low, hissing sound before suddenly a roll of paper shot out from it, landing exactly on Snow's hand. He unrolled it up and glanced inside for a moment, already speaking up right away. "You only got a 1 out of 10? That's pathetic, I can't believe I expec- Wait." He turned the paper around. "Oh...It's actually a 10." He stated, staring at it for a bit. He quickly began reading up on the report a little bit more attentively, eventually setting the paper aside. "Sorry about that...Good job!" He announced, a big bright smile on his face before he began fiddling around with some drawers on his table and tossing you over a bag with 100 Pokédollars. "There, don't spend it all in one place, will ya?"

"I'll stick with Ashton, don't worry." His eyes slowly scanned you up and down, sizing you up a bit. "...So. Tougher than you look, huh? Saving the city while the others were out, did you?" He chuckled, bumping you on the shoulder. "Say, what do you say going for a little practice round with me? I spent the whole day flying, I could use a little spar...I'll go easy on ya. Tell you what, if you want, I could teach you a move, once we're done." He proposed, ruffling up your hair some.

Rikku

"A bed, huh. Yeah, maybe, if we're going to be breaking such boundaries." He replied, trying to joke back a bit too. Which ended up sounding a bit more serious than he probably intended. "Ah...That, was a joke." He stated, before dropping his head slightly. As he heard you reply to his invitation, he raised a brow in confusion slightly, before finally understanding her acceptance, which got a big smile on his entire face. "R-right! Let's head over to the market district then, I'm sure we can find something there." Without much further ado, the two of you proceeded towards the Market Plaza, browsing your way through the streets, shops and little buildings all around. For better or for worse, the streets were all pretty crowded with refugees and the like, but hey, you take what you can get. Eventually, the two of you managed to find a place still open, not exactly the ideal place for dinner but...Hey, it'd work. It was a small bakery, small and cute looking, the entrance covered in big red and pink ribbons. Roland glanced around a bit...He felt...Strange in there.

The fact he was probably one of the biggest Pokemon in there probably didn't help much. There were a few other Pokemons around, but most of them were closer to Rikku's size than Roland's. Not that there were many Pokemon around, anyways mostly seemed to be around just for shopping baked goods, just one or two actually sat in the tables available to eat the baked goods right then and there. Despite this, the Drapion didn't particularly show much concern, as a small, chubby Slurpuff girl waltzed over to the two of you.

"Oh, hello! Hello!" She announced, flailing her arms around a bit. "Welcome to Puffy Poffins." She greeted, bowing her head slightly. Roland cleared up his throat some. "Uhm...Table. For two, please." The Slurpuff nodded with a big smile, before guiding both of you over to a small table round white table, with two seats for the two of you. The two of you comfortably got seated down and took your orders, to which the Slurpuff rushed off to tend to. Roland turned his focus to you then, however. "...Kind of feels like I should've asked you out on a date before...Well, you know." He stated, nervously flushing up his cheeks before he continued. "...So uh..." He nervously poked his fingers together, seemingly not sure how to start a conversation. "Would you...Maybe like to train with me afterwards? I think I could teach you one or two moves." He proposed, smiling. "Uh...If you'd be...Interested in that...That is..."

Twiggy enjoys the playful flick towards his butt as he heads on down and meet up at Snow's desk to get his report on how things went. He waits patiently, feeling a bit down that after going through all of that he ends up with a terrible review from her, before finally getting the good news. "Don't worry, I'll save it up for something good," he replied, putting the coin into his own purse and shoving that back into hammerspace before waving off to Snow. "Take care, I'll be back!" At the very least there is the Guild who can provide a better income for different rescue and exploration mission for the Chespin to do, so getting more money isn't all that bad. Plus he did apply for a part-time job, so the pay isn't going to be that great compared to a full-time worker. Although if this is a 10 rating, he might be doing all right...

Anyway, Twiggy ventures out of the motel, waving off to the Aggron and heads out towards the street before deciding what to do next. There is that urge to head back to the Guild and pretty much call it a day, but he did get that invite to Hallow's place and the directions to get there. He also would need to find a way to cool off his still excited boner after his time with Rena, and it being reminded of how much fun it was boning both her and himself, so heading on over to meet up with one of his workmates may be a fun little diversion! Twiggy takes the directions and studies them, looking around where he's at before following them. Cotton turns back to Khan and thanks him for his help before looking back at Fe. "Um, not sure if I would call it a mission but I need to go to the Forest of Fairies to see if I can find a herd of Gogoats and bring them back if they're not infected still. I was told I should probably get a couple of Pokémon to go with me but I'm not sure who to ask yet." The Lopunny anthro explained to the Klefki girl.

"Seeya later, Mr Khan!" Fe said with a smile, letting the Arcanine go do his business. "And nice to meet you too, Cotton!" Fe turns her attention to the Lopunny. "Herding Gogoats, huh? Well, it would seem simple enough, but with this virus going around everywhere, I dunno if it'll be that simple... But!" The Klefki waggles her finger and continues, "I have a few tricks up my sleeve myself! I can make sure that our friends stay safe through the whole journey with my awesome powers! Oh, and I can fire beams too, that's a thing." She still has yet to let go of Cotton's hand, very much liking the feel of her soft, almost plush hands. "And between you and me, we've got alot of stuff covered... we'd just need one more 'mon to really make sure the Gogoats are safe when we bring them back, and that's it!"

Aeryn immediately paled (not that it was very noticeable) when she realized her slip of the tongue. "It's nothing, honestly," she said, truly believing that the price she paid to get that box was cheap. She took a finger, and poked the box curiously, while being attentive enough for her to listen to anything else Flora had to say. She did deflate upon hearing that there was no new information on the locations of the key pieces, but perked slightly when she was being questioned. "I'm was born in the Grass continent, but it never felt like home really. To be honest, no where felt like home, so I've been drifting from place to place," she murmured as paced in front of the desk. When the question of bedding came up, she immediately froze in place, realize she had messed up big time. "Uh... Could I perhaps get back to you on that?" Aeryn asked half sheepishly, half freaking out.

That was a good question indeed. Where could she go in a town overflowing with refugees?

"Um, I suppose. Rather not get too confident before we even begin." Cotton says as she looks at the excited girl and then looks at their hands, the Klefki girl still holding hers. "Um...You can let go of my hand now..." She says as she tugs her hand back lightly. "Anyways, I suppose we should check the guild for a third person. Maybe a Pokémon that is able to identify infected Pokémon; I rather be able to know who's infected and who isn't. Don't want to bring an entire herd of infected Gogoats into Claw Town."

As they walked through the streets, Rikku's face was one of pure happiness as she kept herself pressed up against the big Pokémon, adoring the feeling of his hard carapace against her soft fur. Every so often she would point to something or make a joke or simply steal small glances at him out of the side of eye as they weaved around the river of refugees that had simply taken up residence in the middle of the street, her mood being so ecstatic that she barely even noticed them. To her it was simply Roland and Rikku, the princess whose life had been endangered and the gallant knight who had rescued her.

When the small bakery came into view, Rikku's heart practically jumped from her chest at the adorable quaintness of the big red and pink ribbons, making Rikku giggle in glee at how utterly cute they made the little cafe look. "Awwwww, it's perfect! Let's go in here!" Rikku beamed up at her date as she gently guided him towards the entrance, not even beginning to think about how his mammoth form could possibly fit inside. Luckily enough however there was no problems and it wasn't long before Rikku was giving the plump little Slurpuff a friendly look as she led them to a table before taking their orders, Rikku having the Chocolate eclairs under the Slurpuff's recommendation, and running off again, leaving the two Pokémon to their somewhat impromptu date.

"Ha! Well, I thnik if you recall, I was the one to initiate the ah... *ahem* anyway, I'm sure it wouldn't have changed much, We're here now, aren't we?" She smiled up at Roland before slowly reaching out to gently squeeze one of his large hands to try and calm him down a bit, his digits completely engulfing hers, "I would love to learn everything I possibly could from my savior! But for now, how about we just enjoy each other's company, hmmm?" She said with a whole lot more confidence than she felt right now as she looked up into the big Drapion's eyes and blew him a kiss, "I mean, if you want to at least, we can, uhm...go train now if you like?" Please say no, please say no, please say no! Rikku mumbled in her head after she asked the question, enjoying the intimacy more than just a little bit as she tentatively gave his hand another squeeze.

Ashton wasn't expecting such an enthusiastic handshake, so for the first few moments his own shake was limp wristed until he had adjusted. Ashton wasn't sure how to respond to Basil asking about a nickname though it turned out responding was unnecessary when the Braviary quickly decided against it. He tried to keep his shoulders from slumping when Basil mentioned his appearance, "Well I never really saw myself as all that tough. Honestly I hadn't even expect the roar to even be all that effective." Basil soon asked for a spar, but Ashton wasn't quite sure about it. Sure, he could probably do with the practice, but not only did the bird appear quite tough, he was also second in the rescue team, so he obviously couldn't be all talk. In the end the promise to go easy and the offer of a new move to round out his own repertoire seemed too good to pass up for the Vulpix. Allowing Basil to further ruffle his already messed hair Ashton smiled and responded, "Okay, I guess I could try. So are we going to do this here, or did you have somewhere else in mind?"

Twiggy

There was a short walk and a few turns towards a few alleys, but before long, Twiggy found himself arriving at Hallow's home. ...Actually, he had kind of identified the place as her home a bit of a distance away. Mostly because the entire home was covered in Halloween decorations, coloured streamers, plastic pumpkins...Some zubat paper figures hanged around the place. Heck, there was even a faint orange glow coming from within the house! At any rate, he slowly walked up to the front door and, after browsing about a bit, found the doorbell...Upon pressing it, there was a sinister, if a bit goofy, evil laugh that echoed from within the house, weird choice for a door alarm, the synthesized voice quickly being substituted by another voice that Twiggy recognized all too well. Hallow shouted out from the upper floor. "O! Can you answer the door?"

"Yeah yeah, I got it." Came in another voice, this one unfamiliar. It was...Deeper than Hallow's, but not to the point where it was manly. It was somewhat older...Probably her older sister she mentioned! There was a bit of a rumble and suddenly the door of the house swung open, revealing a MASSIVE lady within.

She was ENORMOUS. And the worst part of it was that she was currently sitting in some kind of floating pumpkin which served as her legs, though the fact you could see she had legs to pull out of that only meant she could get even taller! Heck! You didn't really have any way to measure right here and there, but you could guess she was easily over nine feet tall! "Well, aren't you adorable?" She questioned, tilting her head to the side slightly. For better or for worse, she wasn't really wearing anything. Well, save for her long black stockings, but you got the feeling those weren't actual clothing. "You must be "Twiggy", my sister told me about you...Didn't think you'd be showing up today, still." She stated, rubbing her chin slightly before moving out of the way for him to enter. "Come on in! I was just making some pie." She proposed, a big smile on her face as she let you into the cozy little shack, which was just as filled with Halloween decorations on the inside as on the outside. "Make yourself at home, eh? Hallow's upstairs, I'll go let her know you're here." She stated, before floating off towards the upper floors.

Aeryn

"...Doesn't sound like nothing...You didn't pay anyone for this, did you?" She questioned, staring right at Aeryn. Flora's glare was...Bone-chilling. She usually always had that big, happy smile with soft, gentle eyes on her face. But as she opened her eyes, she revealed she only had two very small red irises that seemed to pierce right through one's souls as a ray of infernal fury.

"Oh well, I'll take your word for it." She stated, resuming her usual happy mood. She slowly listened in to your explanation, rubbing her chin in thought until you actually mumbled about a place to sleep. Flora seemed to giggle happily once more before joining her hands together. "Oh well, I'm sure I can get you a nice place here in the Explorer Team barracks for you to sleep...If not, well. My room is pretty big, I'm sure we could set up something comfortable for you in there too...You wouldn't mind the sofa, would you?" She questioned, slowly tilting her head to the side.

Rikku

Meanwhile, Roland ordered for himself a Poffin made out of Colbur berries. As their orders arrived, Rikku's chocolate eclairs and Roland's berry poffins, the Drapion slowly took the big, meal sized Poffin into one of his hands, biting down on it. As he listened in to her, a bit of a heat crawling up his body again as she grabbed so tightly to his hand. "R-Right...Enjoy the company...S-Sorry, I didn't mean to..." He cleared up his throat a bit, glancing around nervously, it was one thing for him to act like a dork just in front of Rikku, but if he did it in public like this. He seemed to crack his shoulders a bit and simply smiled. "O-Of course. Uhm, well then." He idly began to toy his fingers against hers, wrapping his larger digits in-between her own fingers as she squeezed down on his hand.

"Sorry, I'm just...Not very good at uhm...Conversation." He confessed, frowning a bit at his inability to make a proper talk with Rikku. "So uh...We didn't get to know each other very well, did we? Let's do a little game, shall we? I ask you a question, you ask me a question. We keep going with that until...Well, until we feel like it's been enough, I suppose." He stated, letting out a nervous chuckle. "So uhm...Wh-Why don't you start?"

Ashton

"Here? Hah! Of course not, kiddo! We're gonna do it in the Guild's Training Grounds!" He announced, happily, one hand around your shoulders. ...Wait. But you were all around this building...You were pretty sure there was no such place as a Training Ground- Suddenly, Basil's grip on you tightened as pretty much just took you on his arms, bridal style. "Hold on!" He announced, before jumping off the top the building...Heading down...And down...And down...Oh Arceus, you're crashing. As you were feet away from the ground, however, Basil simply opened up his wings and they puffed up for a moment, before the two of you slowly glided to the ground. Afterwards, he showed you to a small trapdoor just around the entrance of the guild's building, where he took you down through...Still carrying you, mind.

Inside, you found there to be a massive underground arena of sorts! There were several small podiums for sitting, as well as seats to watch! Several Pokemon were around, training against wooden posts or targets. Basil finally set you down and let you have a proper look around the place.

"Quite the view, ain't it?" He questioned before slapping your rear and rushing off ahead. "Come on, last one down pays for the refreshments afterwards!" He announced, already running his way down the steps towards one of the small training arenas that was available down there.

[Firehead]

Ashton was a bit confused about mention of an arena grounds. He could have sworn he looked over every inch of that map. How could he possibly have missed such a thing. "So, where is this plaaaahhhhh." He was caught by surprise as Basil lifted him bodily and threw himself off the building. Forgetting for a moment the wings Ashton couldn't help but feel he was going to die tonight in freefall.

At nearly the last second he felt a sudden loss in the speed to their fall as Basil's wings caught the air and brought them down safely. With how close they were Ashton was shocked at how easily Basil stopped the fall. He was wondering if he should second guess getting into even a friendly tousle with the powerful male. Finally Basil opened the trapdoor outside the building and carried him inside. Well, that could explain the lack of indication on the map this place existed.

Finally, Ashton was able to get his feet back on the ground and he wondered if he would ever want to be back up on the observation deck again. Getting a look around Ashton found that the arena around him was huge. He could see lots of seating and he wondered if they ever did organized fights in here, or if it was only for training. He jumped when Basil smacked him across the rear and took a head start racing with the cost of refreshments at stake. Not wanting to be left behind or to get stuck with the bill Ashton swiftly gave chase trying to get an idea of just how fast Basil was.

The Ralts shuddered as the Florges psychologically rip her a new one with just her eyes alone. Figures, she was a guild leader for a reason. Luckily, she was so terrified by her sudden visage that her jaws were locked tightly enough for her not to spill anything. Once she dropped the terrifying face, Aeryn knew she could never know of what really happened. She didn't even care why Flora got angry at her, she just never wanted to see that face again. She started stuttering phase all over again "T- Thank you for the ass- assistance," she stammered, "B- but I don't n- need anything special, even the sofa." She started poking her fingers together and mumbled "... a corner is fine for someone my size."

Fe tilts her head sideways when Cotton says not to get too confident, and she isn't quite happy when Cotton yanks her hand away from her. "Why shouldn't we be confident? I know I've got the gusto to back up my words!" Fe piped up. "And besides, if we go in thinking we're gonna fail or flop, it'll happen, no doubt! So I'd rather think that we can go in there, save all those Gogoats, and come back safe and sound!" When Cotton mentions finding someone who can identify the disease, Fe gives a couple of knowing nods. "That miiiiiiiiight be a little hard. So far, all I've seen is people who practically accuse any sort of closeness or oddness as being signs of the disease... which was really, REALLY annoying when they said I might be infected, then locked me up in the hospital for hoooooooours. Ugh, makes me sick just thinking about it... although, if we can find someone like that, I guess they would be useful to bring along. A medic certainly wouldn't hurt either."
