(Encounter Roll - 6)

You head outside and have no trouble finding your horse stabled in the castle. After saddling him, you follow the directions given... north, across the river and out of the town. The area is heavily wooded compared to the open plains surrounding it. Visibility would be impaired and it's an ideal area for any kind of ambush.

(Perception Roll: 20+5=25)

You're riding trotting through on horseback when you hear a branch cracking behind you. You twist on the saddle to see Orcs, four of them, wearing nothing but leathers over their legs and arms and their muscular, scarred, green chests exposed. They have weapons drawn, battleaxes and falchions.

The one in front says, "Get offa the horse and give up, girly, or we'll make ya."

Juliana spun Kallen around taking stalk of how the orcs were approaching her. If they were all in one direction it'd be incredibly easy for her to break the other direction and hit them with a barrage of arrows as she gallops in the opposite direction.

If they surrounded her she was going to need to find an opening between orcs using Falchions since their weapon reach will be shorter than the battle axes, though she was pretty sure her riding capabilities were more than capable of evading a couple of untrained orcs. [Would like to make a ride check to run from the orcs]

"Well it looks like you guys are going to have to catch this prey today boys." The ranger springs into action hopefully leading Kallen away from the orcs so she can get a couple arrows off against the orcs.

(Guiding your horse to move with your legs while shooting or attacking is a pretty easy roll, just for future reference, so you won't usually have to worry about not making it. You will take a penalty to the actual attack roll however as it's much harder to fire from horseback where you're unstable.)
The Rolls
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

(Initiative rolls: Juliana 18, Orcs 13. Juliana acts first.)

(Using rapid shot, you're able to fire two arrows, though both arrows also take a penalty.)

Ride check: 6+8=12 SUCCESS!

Attack Rolls
9+1 = 10 MISS!
13+1=14 HIT!
4 damage

18 arrows left

Juliana looses two arrows against the four Orcs closing in on her. One misses and the other lands in the closest Orc's shoulder. He groans in pain, but doesn't go down right away. The four Orcs chase after Juliana on horseback, but are unable to catch up to her. The two in the back put away their falchions and pull out short bows.

You seem to be able to keep out of melee range as long as you keep firing from horseback, though it would be harder to hit your enemies due to the significant amount of motion.

From behind a nearby thick tree, a man steps out wearing silver breast-plate with a red dragon emblazoned on it. Wielding a longsword and a heavy steel shield, he charges in with a thunderous battlecry, "Over here, beasts!"

He jumps in the middle of the four Orcs, with the clear intention of drawing their ire and he says, "Flee, my lady, I will handle these creatures!"

You recognize him immediately as the man described as Lady Ferdaux's son and also as the man you saw in your dreams, the one of the seven figures who broke your chain and spoke to you.

"Yes!" Juliana let out a cheer as she managed to nail at least one of the orcs with her arrows, but there was a longer battle ahead of her, she was about to come back around to let loose a few more arrows when she saw the man and immediately recognized him.

"wait! My lord! Wait! Alphonse!" Juliana immediately tugged the reins on Kallen and gallops at full speed toward Alphonse hopefully she could rescue this idiot of a price before he gets himself hurt and she would need to deal with the wrath of a second mother. As she gallops back toward the orcs she lets loose 2 more arrows then switches over to her long sword to take passing swipes at the orcs.

The Rolls
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Juliana
3+1=4 MISS!
13+1=14 HIT!
6 damage, 16 Arrows left, Orc slain!

Orcs (on Alphonse)
3+4=7 MISS!
8+4=12 MISS!
10+4=14 MISS!
17+4=21 HIT!
2+4=6 damage to Alphonse

Alphonse (on Orc with battleaxe)
12+4=16 HIT!
8+3=11 damage, Orc slain!

You turn your horse to heel and ride back toward the small group of Orcs, loosing two more arrows, and scoring another hit on the same wounded warrior. The second arrow goes through his chest and the pain is too much as the Orc crumples to the ground in agony. In the time it takes you to do that, the Orcs all take swings at their only target, Alphonse. He side-steps a heavy swing from one Orc, blocks an arrow with his shield, but the third strike slashes across his mid-section and leaves a red wound open across his hip.

Alphonse grunts in pain, but still seems very capable of fighting.

Round 3
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Juliana
Roll 5+3=8 MISS!

Orcs
(On Juliana) 4+1=5 Miss!
(On Alphonse) 9+4=13 Miss!
(On Alphonse) 10+4=14 Miss!

Alphonse
20+4=24 Critical threat!
1+4=5 No critical hit!
6+3=9 damage, Orc severely wounded

You switch from your bow to your longsword and prepare to ride up and swipe at one of the Orcs. You ride by and hit only air to your chagrin, as the Orcs are proving to not be entirely unskilled. The warrior in the back fires at you with his shortbow and the arrow narrowly whizzes over your head.

The Orcs near Alphonse take swings at him and he deftly uses his armor and shield to turn blows away and avoid any further strikes. His retaliation slash slices open a deep wound on one of the Orcs chest, causing the creature to cry out in pain, but it's not enough to bring the beast man down.

The ranger was almost impressed by the young prince; glad that he hasnt yet been torn to pieces by the orcs but also the fact that he is easily holding his own against them. At this point Juliana decides that going on foot would benefit her more than taking this hit and run approach.

Once off her horse the Ranger takes out her bow once again and finishes off the wounded orc then letting loose another arrow towards the orc that tried to fire at her.

Ride check for fast dismount: 19+8=27 Success!
10+5=15 Hit!
14+5=19 Hit!
1 damage, wounded Orc slain!

Orcs
(On Alphonse) 10+4=14 Miss!
(On Juliana) 12+1=13 Miss!

Alphonse
5+4=9 Miss!

You steady your horse and slide off of the saddle and draw your bow in one fluid motion. You quickly notch one arrow, fire, and finish off the wounded Orc as the arrow pierces his chest. You notch a second arrow, loose again, and it lands in his stomach, punishing him for taking aim at you. He growls in pain, but remains at fighting strength.

The Orc notches an arrow and looses it, aimed at you. The miss is narrow, a mere inch from your shoulder, but misses nonetheless. The second remaining Orc swings his battleaxe at Alphonse, clanking the crude piece of steel against his shield and doing seemingly no damage to the lordling.

Alphonse retaliates and trades the Orc a miss for a miss. The prince clearly had some formal combat training not unlike your own, though he clearly favored the knight's style of trading blows and banging steel.

The wounded orc looked ripe for the slaying; trusting in her longsword Juliana drawing the 3 foot blade as she raises it in a swift motion to decapitate the orc. She didnt need this to go for any longer than she would have like anyway. If Alphonse is any good as a knight-in-training then he should easily finish the orc he was still trading blows with.

You draw your sword and move toward the Orc you wounded with the arrow. He has little chance as you slash his throat open. The warrior drops to the ground, gurgling, and suffocating on his own blood, and eventually dying.

The remaining Orc takes a swing at Alphonse and once again hits his shield. Rather than finish the Orc, Alphonse suddenly grabs him and says, "Tell me, you whores son, where is she? We'll cut you to pieces unless you tell us!"

It seems the Prince has another objective here, one that either Lady Adrienne wasn't aware of or didn't tell you. Alphonse holds his sword against the Orc's neck and demands again, "Speak, you foul beast. You have three seconds. Tell me where your camp is and I will let you flee."

Not having much choice, the Orc quickly growls, "T-The cave! Under the hill, near the burned down grove."

Alphonse grins and says, "Good... Now go."

The warrior, knowing his odds, makes no effort to fight and simply sprints away when given the opportunity into the woods.

Alphonse turns back to you and says, "Forgive my manners, I am Alphonse, my dear, and whom do I have the pleasure of meeting?"

Juliana picks up one of the Falchions giving it a few swings to see how it feels in her hand, she wasnt very trained in using curved blades but it is always interesting to learn more about the art of war. Once she's taken one of the scabbards for the blade she moves on to reciprocate Alphonse's greeting.

"Im an outrider from House Rafont, im currently on a mission to find you because your mother requires you home. And im doing this for your mother because i require her forces to repel the invasion that is currently besieging the castle. So please tell your mother i have found you and i have completed the end of my bargain." Juliana is practically oozing with desperation once she catches her breath she just needed this prince to not be an idiot and what ever he was doing out in the woods in the middle of the night is beyond her she had to save castle Rafont and her family.

The falchion is a heavy curved blade. To use properly, you would have to wield it with two hands, though it would certainly do more damage than your current longsword that only requires one hand to wield.

You inform the prince of your purpose here, but not of your name, and once you finish, he smirks and says, "Now, my dear, I believe I asked your name. Someone else is forgetting their manners as well!"

He wipes the blood coating his blade on the grass before sheathing it.

"On that note, I cannot return to the castle until I find who I'm looking for. Every minute could mean her life."

Alphonse looks down and notes the three dead Orcs and says, "You're clearly skilled in combat, my dear. How about you come with me? It'll be faster and I'm less likely to die on you, we all win, no?"

Stunned Juliana recoils backpedaling as she just heavily disrespected this nobleman. "I...im sorry my lord my name is Juliana Baird. Im a simple ranger and the eldest daughter to a family of warriors.."

The ranger thought about his proposition, but she desperately needed the help for Rafont. "My lord, if you return home any more injuries your mother might not give me the support i need, If you let me handle this quest i'll return with your charge and she wont be any worse than when she was lost."

He nods and says, "Ah, Juliana, a fitting name for such a wild flower as yourself."

You try to propose that he give the charge to you, but unfortunately, nothing short of magic will be able to dissuade Alfonse. He shakes his head and says, "No, I swore an oath, now I must uphold it. As a Knight, and a gentleman, I cannot pass this charge unto any other."

You've no idea who this woman could be, possibly his betrothed, maybe a sister, or another family member. Regardless, you sense the steely resolve in his declaration to be as firm as your own desire to protect your family.

"As long as I return alive, I will convince my mother to send our forces. She will not deny me... I can assure you of that."

He motions to the deeper part of the woods and says, "So, shall we?"

"If i cant convince you then please lets take my horse, you can take the reins and lead us to where that orc said." Juliana lets out a disappointed sigh as she wasnt able to stop Alphonse, but at least she has the chance to keep the lordling alive. Once the two of them are on the horse she was giving complete control of Kallen over to Alphonse. Hopefully the prince know how to treat a horse well enough.

(Encounter Roll - 19)

Alphonse says, "Very well, by horse it is."

He climbs on top of Kallen and wastes no time in guiding the two of you deeper into the wooded area. After an hour so, the terrain changes from flat to hilly and becomes a lot more uneven and less traveled. You don't notice anything resembling a trail anymore and see only bushes, trees, and the occasional animal.

Alphonse suddenly stops the horse and dismounts. He whispers, "Leave him here, we're close."

Just as promised, there's a wide-open area that looks like it was burned down some time ago. You see only cinders and charred remains of trees. Behind this open area, there was a large hill with a small cave opening at the base of it. There was little doubt this had to be the place.

You see two Orcs standing guard outside the entrance, idly talking to one another.

The ranger ties her horse to a nearby tree and follows Alphonse hoping that she wasnt being lead into some sorta horrible trap.
"Well My Lord, what's the plan? I have my bow, but im no rogue im not necessarily the stealthiest ranger around."
Juliana looks around the area wondering if there was a way around or some way to distract the orcs from the entrance...

(Perception: 10+5=15)
(Intelligence check: 14-2=12)

You look around for another way to enter the Orc hideout, or find a way to distract the guards. Odds are that Alphonse's plan was to charge down and fight them all, if he'd come here by himself. There may only be a handful of Orcs, or there could be a few dozen. Not knowing, you search for an alternative method.

You notice that the Orcs are already somewhat distracted, talking to one another. You could possibly ambush them from a distance. You notice they're both lightly armed like the Orcs you fought earlier, indicating they're probably part of the same band. You have no idea if these Orcs are part of the invading Horde or not, but you do know there hasn't been Orcs across the border in many years.

Another idea comes to mind, one spurred on by the fact the Orcs do have impressive musculatures and bulging loincloths. You could always attempt to distract them with 'other' means and allow Alphonse to slip by.

The lordly warrior says, "Have any good ideas? Otherwise, I have plenty of steel and the right mind to use it."

Juliana mentally takes stock of her options on how to take down these orcs. Judging from the previous fight using arrows would obviously be too lengthy and if they alerted the other orcs that would be a problem... Then suddenly the idea of...servicing the orcs crosses her mind. The idea makes her a bit wet but she didnt know at the moment.

"Alphonse...I-im going to draw the orcs away from the entrance do you think you could sneak in and then rescue your charge? If you see too many inside please dont charge them i'll deal with these two orcs as soon as possible and join you."

(Will Roll to resist corruption gain: 12)
(1 Corruption gained)

As you suggest the idea, it's out of a pragmatic desire to get this woman and get out, but part of you wants to see how big the Orcs are, how well they fuck. Your brother popped your cherry and now you wanted to fuck again, but he was nowhere near to sate your desires. Instead, you find yourself curious as to how someone else, something else, might fuck, and by the looks of their bulges, they were certainly no slouches in regards to size. Maybe you could tease the Orcs and lead them on for awhile, and avoid fucking them, or maybe that was exactly what you wanted to do...

He does a slight bow and says, "If you think you can handle those two, it seems like a fine plan."

Alphonse crouches off to the side, to a bush on the right side of the entrance, waiting for you to draw them away and for him to slip in behind.

When alphonse is out of sight of the ranger she takes a moment to slip off her panties from underneath her skirt and then as she gets closer to the orcs and fully in sight of them she could feel her heart skip a beat. Her face was bleeding red from desire as she couldnt help but think about how it might to fuck more things, more people...

"H-hey boys...Nice night isnt it?" Juliana shimmies up to them from opposite of and gives them a quick flash of her uncovered slit before speaking again. "Im so lost and scared...i could use some company for the night~" Then she pulls down the thin covering on her breasts this exhibitionist stint starting to turn her on more and more.
