If that's what people meant by difficulty, then yes, if you're playing on the hardest difficulty, you're expected to use your knife or just run more than if you're playing on normal... a good technique that I and I'm sure a lot of other resident evil players use is to knock them down then run. There are no ammo/herb drops in the main game, just like the original resident evils. However, I can agree that at the moment the difficulty is ramped up a little high in regards to ammo, so there will be more ammo available later. Considering the size of this first chapter though, I don't think it's too much of an issue, and I'm thinking about whether to introduce the shotgun before the first boss or near the start of chapter 2.


I was playing on normal, but ah, ok, I didn't know you could knock them over with the knife

everyone please read this post, theres a glitch that A H needs to fix, if you play the game when you get the the boss, your going to be teleported out of the level and killed from falling so dont spam the fourms saying OMG GLITCH, ill tell him myself so dont fill the fourms

I think he meant you didn't/forgot to change the update near the bottom of the bottom of the first post, still says the changelog for August 4th

A small glitch or something I found: after saving, I put the other ink ribbon in the item storage box, I continued and ended up dying in that glitch cat pointed out, but when I reloaded my game the ink ribbon wasn't in my inventory, in the item box, OR in the save room, it had completely vanished

also, maybe buff the knife a little bit? either increase the damage to meet the pistol or make it knock enemies down faster, I tried using it even against a single enemy and got raped to death, not sure how it's supposed to be a viable weapon, granted, maybe I just suck

I've been playing nanocrisis and unholy sanctuary for quite awhile and am really excited bout this game since i am a resident evil fan as well as a fan of survival horror games. i kept checking back as well as Z-Fied's blog regularly for new posts and updates. i really liked the progress bar and it seem the licker/leech sprites r done...cnt wait for rebecca's new sprites, i also wonder if FAPCOM is gnna add any of the sprites from page 7. it would be good to c different walking, running & grapple animations he mentioned cuz this 1 is getting old. i had an idea of y not add voice acting for the NPCs such as the bartender and the injured man. if u guys need voice act in any of them, i wud b glad to try ;)

In other words, i wonder what happened to ANoob. there doesn't seem to b any progress going from him.

That first glitch I've had as well, I'm probably just going to completely redo the saving thing again, since I've currently been having it freeze the game a lot.

Well the knife was always an extremely difficult weapon to use, a technique I have for using it is run at zombies, run away when they do the lunge animation, then return when they're recovering from the lunge.

Yes, the base licker, leech, and hunter sprites are done, just need animation from Cat once she's finished animation on the zombies. FAPCOM is currently working on a second base sprite for Reb.

If you're wondering about GC, I honestly don't know any more, our communication has become very rare, and he was originally working on the Reb sprites, but since progress was going so slow, I got FAPCOM started on them.

Yes, I'm planning there to be voice acting for all NPCs as well as the player. Feel free to message/email me about it, I'm always up for people going for it.


Progress:

Fixed that boss player-teleportation bug
Fixed the ammo disappearing manual reload bug

Stuck at revamping saving/loading system (for me and now one of my other testers, the game completely freezes when you hit load game after dying.)

I'll try that out next time I play, though due to the fact it takes three hits I can see it being troublesome when facing multiple enemies, though out of curiosity, how many hits from the knife does it take to fully kill a zombie?

omg me to! iv loved nanocrisis, D :< to bad they stoped working on it, and i love unholy i recently got it thanks to A H :D, actualy me and A H were discussing since im a 3d animator and modeler i was thinking maybe in sometime in the future or something maybe if i ever had the time and wanted to, i could attempted to make a 3d game that looks just like the origonal resident evil game, camera angles and all, but it would be like this the zombies would try to rape you and everything! :O i think that would be an amazing game.

mm can't seem to talk to the guy to progress on for the key. And any way to aim your gun at the Cerberus i keep trying to crouch and shot but i only have the one shot animation and it's over it's head.

no you cant aim down yet, we havint made sprites for aiming up and down, we'll get to that when we get more important things done but no you can only aim 1 way

So i might be interested in voice acting. I am right now I need to ducttape my headset to gather again.(some how i keep needing to do this with every headset. I should really stop watching movies while going to sleep.)
I have no experience but i'm not mic shy.
I am Male and unless you have a really buff Female character i don't think i could play a female (I could try for kicks and giggles )
I don't want anything sexual.

I have some experience with Sony Vegas version 9 HD mostly with game videos but i've had to do a bit of sound tweaking.

If you think there is something i can help with PM me. However i don't want a major role in this since I have my own game to deal with and a life.

ok no animation but what about the guy, can't seem to get him to talk.
