LOL the only trouble with those is, they're people with scattered features and clothing that makes them look like pokemon. It's like the "people look like their dogs" pics I've seen. Still funny as hell.

Oh, I remember these! I saw this set when I did my first bit of artwork for Humbirdo's game in....2012, I think. Wow....just realized how long I've been a member on here.

I really liked this game, but there are too many bugs, sometimes the game crashes when I start a battle, if you go inside that cave where you found Pidgey you can't get out, and the worst bug to me is that you can't load the game from your saves and you have to star all over again, this always happens when I advance a long part, if you fix those bugs and put a new version to download then this game would be great

We are busy working on ironing out those bugs that we can ... the issue with loading from saves and crashing when starting a battle are both related to the editor itself, which is beyond our grasp, but we're doing what we can. Actually I've also heard that the latest version of flash is causing issues because it refuses to use save cookies (the primary mechanism for saving this game). So, yeah. Sadly I'm no IT expert to tell you exactly what's going on and if it's even something we can fix at our end.

Is there anybody following us who is comfortable with constructing and tweaking .swf files? It's not a full time job or anything but we could use a hand with a few of the hard coded items that are just a -bit- off from where we need them. Most notably the title pages at the beginning.

Well, I realize it's been quiet on this thread lately but I'm excited to announce that I've been doing a great deal of writing this month and have begun coding for chapter 2. My apologies for the continued delays on releasing the bugfix (it turned into far more than a mere bugfix, and due to a new artist we are now revisiting all of our old battle arts) but I'll make sure it is released, at the latest, when chapter 2 comes out.

Let me apologize to the team and the community for my sudden MIA. Real life booted me in the head and I'm still recovering. I'm going to get caught up with our group and hopefully have some new content posted for everyone by this weekend.

Added Machop and Meowth to pokemorph list, as well as a disclaimer stating that the listed pokemorphs will appear differently in game. White Vine is recoloring the morphs to give them a shinier look. Get it...shinier look? Shiny pokemon? Eh, eh? Ah, forget it.

I'm also pleased to announce that we'll be posting an updated version of the game sometime within the next few days. Due to it taking so long we're not just going to re-release Chapter 1 as intended but also give you the first half of Chapter 2! There's still some work to be done on it. Also, we apologize ahead of time. We're on track with our battle art (with White Vine reworking the ones currently finished) but our scene art is a bit lacking at this time. We're pushing to rectify that by the end of Chapter 2's final release.

Edit: After talking to Val, we're going to be releasing the alpha version to the first part of chapter 2 as route 3 and Mt. Moon still need some TLC. It also dawned on me that due to the content of this chapter (and most of the chapters we have planned) we make be breaking each chapter down into several releases due to the sheer volume of content we have in each chapter. That's not to mention the plethora of events Val will add in on a whim while he's programming everything. The changes in Chapter 1 can attest to that. So this release will have the alpha. Next mini-release will have Rt 3, Mt. Moon, Rt 4 and maybe Cerulean. Then after that will be rts 24/25, [spoiler] and [spoiler] with the final release having rt 5 and [big spoiler]. Afterwards we'll begin working on Chapter 3!

Had a breakthrough with Tentacool. I went back and saw that it wasn't really a bad concept but went ahead and made a second version. Now, the question isn't which one is better (Tentacool 2 would win), it's which concept/design is better and which one would you prefer to see cleaned up, developed with a front and horny pose and used in game? Vote above and discuss below!

Lol, you make me sound like a loose cannon :P most of the events I'll be adding in will be the ones we've planned for all along but just could never work out how to put everything into the guide. Although, you are correct: while I'm in the mode of coding everything, sometimes things click that didn't during the planning stages and I know exactly how things need to go.

Most of the Mount Moon story is complete and functional. I still have to check on the character who guides you back through the caves, to the route 4 entrance. Didn't get to that last night. But I think I can get that part ready, and maybe produce an end at the beginning of route 4. Still going to be alpha, as you said, as there is a lot more going on than I can get to in a short time.

I've got just one question regarding the tentacool poses. Are you aiming for tentacool to be coolly superior and completely self-confident? Because the second pose exudes that aura. The first one is more shy and self-conscious. Personally, I picture tentacool being less confident, then gaining confidence as tentacruel. Only other difference I can see is the blue belly, which for me works either way (I think I ever so slightly prefer the black belly, partly because we have so many pokemon with bellies of a lighter shade).

I was thinking Tentacool would be more forward and aggressive given our plans for them. Then Tentacruel would be more commanding and assertive. Hopefully I have another breakthrough that'll give me an equally as promising concept for Tentacruel. If nothing else I can give the old pose the new look and have the ne new pose evolve into Tentacruel.

I personally prefer the second one, but the first would be soooo much easier to sprite. i'm just a tad conflicted...

I added another option to the poll and enabled users to change their vote if they want. We'll keep this poll going until the end of Chapter 2 or if we need another poll. Tentacool isn't relevant just yet so it's not a high priority.

Speaking of priorities, we're going to go ahead and finish route 3 and Mt. Moon and then release the alpha. Should be within the next few days. I know I keep saying that but bear with us. We're doing a lot to make sure we provide a quality game experience for the community. The thought of releasing an incomplete portion of the chapter (scenes still sadly excluded) didn't sit well with us.

Edit: Didn't realize updating the poll would reset the count. That's good to know for future reference. Oh well, going to disable the option to change votes.

Everything feels wicked unbalanced, like after every single battle I have to go to the PokeCenter to heal, and the attack value and the HP taken away are not the same. Is there some way to fix this on my own through the database? If so, then how do I save changes made to the database?

The battle balance is hard coded into the game (or, perhaps, into the .swf file that controls battles), and the attack power and hp are determined entirely by level. And it rounds the values it prints, but not the values it subtracts. That's all hard-coded. Nothing I can do to fix it. All I can do is learn to use certain moves that tip the balance in my favor. There are some seriously OP attacks in this engine.
However, if you wish to save changes to the database...while in database mode, look for the database drop-down menu at the top, then "copy database xml." Open the database.xml file (notepad will work), select all, paste. Save and close. It's a bit clunky.

Clefable added to the roster. Which means we have all the pokemorphs needed up until this point finished and in game!

There will be at least 16 more morphs in the next half of chapter 2 which doesn't include 4 (technically 5) special morphs. As well as 12 more trainers. Sorry players, the trainers are still keeping their clothes on. They're shy like that. We'll also include the 9 missing scenes as well as the.... *explicit deleted*....pardon me, just saw how far we're really behind on the scenes...approximately 21 scenes coming by the end of chapter 2.

Mr. Mime is here!....albeit several chapters early. You can find the concept on the roster. I posted an uncolored non-futa version for Humbird0 to use in his game over in his thread.

Anywho, we can say that the update is drawing close. We're anticipating putting it sometime today/tomorrow, Dec 18th. The team, with Deadman's help, have been searching for and squishing any bugs we find and are happy to inform everyone that they will be able to go as far as Rt 4, right before Cerulean.
