I noticed that Aquatic Supplies doesn't up the influence in any of the other areas, did you remove it to re-balance it or was there a coding problem?

Yes, it was too over powered.
We are trying to balance it, because of that it's on standby until we choose a better way to do it. (We have already some ideas but we haven't implemented it yet)

Eh, in terms of actions working or not working, why not just leave the cap at 100%.

150% doesn't make sense from a mathematical perspective, sure.

But there's nothing but annoyance to be gained by always having a chance to fail.

Yeah, I'ld rather be confused by numbers over a hundred than mess up some basic action, find my combat skills fail, lost influence everywhere, possibly multiple nights in a row. I didn't find any events with any special characters, shop or such. I liked that dumping tons of power could speed up the game, at least currently while things are mostly identical between areas.
Oh, and combat is guaranteed lose currently, unless I missed the ability to switch targets...

I've been able to win combat, but only when it's one individual, and I'm not sure the way it works makes sense. Everything's down but *red bar* and they are still attacking, and the attacks seem pretty brutal to me but don't seem to do much to the guards... also think that if you win the fight with the guard(s) you should have some sexy fun!

Regarding whether an ability should be able to fail or not when influence is high, I suppose it depends how realistic you want the game to be. Even someone who's done something for years messes up occasionally, right? It's not likely, but there's still a slight chance. If you guys remember, think Monster Rancher and how they capped things at 99% probability - there was ALWAYS a chance that an attack would fail, no matter how slight. Is it annoying? Yeah, very, especially when chance succeeding is 98%. Made the game more fun though because it worked both ways - the opponent has a 98% of it working and fails? YES!!!

Very fun to play through. Such a great concept and design. Look forward to more, hope people throw money at you.

Yes, we had forgotten to fix the cap in this version :P . We think this is good idea, because there are attacks that gives a lot of exp points.
Well, a little chance to fail could be interesting with the global picture. We'll think about it.

We are adding more things and it's not going to have nice balance until it's more finished. :|
The combat skills now are very basic and unbalanced. In future you will have to upgrade them.
About the singular characters Kaeryn has a 10% chance to appear when you are observing an area (all areas) and Rala with 10% chance in the forest.

Yes the combat is unbalanced, some skills that you will learn in the talents tree will be combat skills too.
Some attacks will be "fuckalitys" that will be used when the arousal bar will have more than 50%.

So I see you plan to go the NES difficulty route. Welp, if anything will motivate me to learn code enough to scale everythings reward up it would be trying to play games in old school difficulty.

For now the combat is pretty hard because Elana only has beginner stats and skills.
We don't want make a game that's only be a walk but neither a NES difficulty game. At some point if we see the game it's too hard we will decrease the difficulty ;)

I find that the time you take to raise stats and do missions makes it that much more enjoyable to earn the rewards after, but this game has a load of potential.

Definitely a fan of this game, love the artstyle, the blog frequently getting updated to show constant progress, and the nice stress-free pace of the game. Kudos!

Potential suggestion: Maybe after doing a task/power/observation you have the option to stay in the area you're influencing rather than getting punted to the world map every time. (I particularly needed that when having to spam into the forest a lot looking for the event characters, kept accidentally clicking into other parts of the world when trying to skip dialogues). Perhaps your chance of success falls the longer you stay within an area without exiting to the world map (residents catching on to you).

Maybe the player got too much reward too fast, but it will go escalating in intensity :D

This has changed in this version, now the player after observe will stay in the area. The other options (power, steal, magic) will exit the area.

First, a bug: once you use the potion to see the spirit (guessing the sigil is used for it?) you can't cancel out of the items area. It's always there, while it's not game breaking it is annoying

Love the new content! Just wish when you fight someone, you have a chance to win (chance is still next to zilch when there is more than one person). One other thing, after telling Kaeryn about the *new way* to harass the noblemen, that's the last one...over and over. I would think there is one after that, because it seems bizarre to have the encounter each time, with Elana telling Kaeryn each time about it...

Regarding the *work for a bit*, you can only do it once a day, for 15 gold. That makes it real hard to buy anything when you have to shell out gold for one thing, start with no money, and stealing seems to be a lot harder! (She clearly isn't stealthy!)

One last thing: Will she be able to influence people in power eventually? (The Queen, the high wizard at the academy, head merchant, etc.)

Thanks for pointing the bug, we will fix it ^^
mmmmh the sigil for now doesn't do anything. (It will have a purpose but it's not revealed yet):P

In next update Elana could upgrade her energy and mana points with the study and the combat training. The shop will have more items, one of them will be health potion (restores health in combat).
About kaeryn, yes in future she will have more history.

We know, the actual steal method it's quite useless but it will be the possibility to upgrade it. Also Elana will earn gold in other ways.

She will influence people in power, not everyone but some of them. ^^

And soon will have one ritual more :D

It isn't implemented yet. In a future the exp will be needed for evolve. At the moment you can use it to buy skills in the menu character.

About the cap we still have to adjust it. We are making big and little changes all the time, because of that the cap is not definitive.

I encountered the pink catgirl in the Woods and she asked me if I want to see some dirty stuff from her world. Of Course I selected yes and the hole game froze
