I have a request. While your not taking the call to arms and all i would like to mess around with one of your monster models so i under stand how you design them.
Just something i would like to mess around with.

Also should i go though my DnD books and get you some monster any nerd should know?

Of course. I tried to avoid making suggestions that were more work than they're worth, and I didn't realize how multifaceted my "simple" solution was. Foregoing it acceptable.

If you have to, an inventory item will be much easier to implement. You draw a map. code an item, link the picture and the item, drop the item on the floor somewhere, and done. Sounds a lot easier than trying to make a minimap work. Also, I rather enjoy having to find my own way around.

That seems reasonable. Just remember that Horny will have to be dynamic for this to work. Here's some possible solutions:
Decrease the speed Horny resets. 1/2, or 1/3 speed seem perfect.
Runes. There's a lot you can do with Runes, and your "Wind Rune" suggests you don't need much assistance here.
Mushrooms. My thought here is to make the best healing mushroom add Horny as a side-effect. This makes sense both in the feel of your world, and reads better than simply allowing the character to masturbate on the spot. (Sidenote regarding mushrooms: on my first playthrough, I ate two red mushrooms to heal before accepting the quest, and had a very hard time re-finding them. Making them un-usable, or making them... seashells or something would clear confusion. Very low priority though; for now don't worry about it.)
The Revolting/Handsome stat (maybe negative 50 through positive 50) could be added (or subtracted) from Beth's Horny stat when she encounters an NPC. Handsome elves get her mind racing, while repulsive orcs inhibit her ability to build arousal. Further down this train of thought, to give Beth a "preference" you could use Horny+(Handsome/Revolting+Sluttiness)=Horny. Or something to that effect.
And, maybe have Sluttyness be the minimum score for Horny. A sufficiently whoreish Beth would be in a constant but mild state of arousal.

Again, all of these are just suggestions.

Of course. I like that Beth can be represent numerically, and my tastes towards the complex and intricate should be read as just that, my tastes. Simplicity is the better approach, especially in early development. But if you're ever in a lull for things to add, more stats are always fun.

But I don't like the idea of clothes having a probability to be destroyed. Just Imagine when Beth finally finds THE magical bra that gives +10 to seduction, and then, a monster appears and rips the bra. That's annoying. One way to avoid this is giving the clothes the option of being repaired (as the armours in WOW). I'll think about an easy way to implement it.
Here's a simple way, clothes don't drop, or appear for sale until after the bramble patch, and only your starter outfit is capable of tearing, and only tears once.

Aaand, I went looking for the games, they're hard to find. In one, Sophie is hurdled into an unfamiliar world of monsters (sounds familiar), and it plays like a choose your own adventure book. In the other, she's a Priestess of Aphrodite, and it plays like a turn-based RPG. If I could find one I'd post a link.


All that said, you have the start of something pretty great. Keep it up!

Sure, just send me an PM or email (you can find it at my blog profile) and I'll send you the monster fla. Anyway, don't spect something really impressive. My flash skills are very limited. Actually, I learn flash tricks every day, and when I see my previous work I can't help thinking I could improve it.

Well, for the momment I don't need ideas for monster. Actually I have all the D&D monstrer manuals (from AD&D to D&D3.5 xD). What I really need is some floor concepts. I'd like to change the digitalized floors in my game. I tryied for days to do some floor stuff, but I was totally unable. And so I had to put those digitalized ones.

I'm also interesting in some character look to adapt. I'm looking for something far from manga style. Something more like Ganassa artwork (http://ganassa-artwork.blogspot.com/?zx ... e36ad330db), Atilio Gambedotti (http://www.bibliotecahentai.net/foro/co ... k-ing.html), Spacebabecentral (http://svscomics.com/adult_comics/9383- ... ntral.html) or even Dmitrys (http://dmitrys.deviantart.com/).

I'll have to adapt it in order to fit with the Beth's Monster High look.

Well, your comment is helpful, as far as I'll keep in mind for future characters.

Your are totally right. Changing and trying new eyes won't be a problem.

That's the easiest way to implement it. I mean, it almost doesn't require any effort. But most of people said they prefer a minimap. Depending of how difficult it would be I'll do in one of the two ways.

I agree with you I have to reduce that decrease. That is in my "to do" list. xD

I thought the same when you wrote about the "perversion" stat. xD
I have to think it more carefully. I mean, both stats go from 0 to 100. So having 100 of Sluttyness will make Beth always horny. xD
Maybe each 10 points of Sluttyness gives 1 point of "perversion".

I'm not sure that this wouldn't be too ambitious, but given that you can alter Beth's look and preferences at the beginning of the game, perhaps it might be worth it to do the same for her antagonist? It could be a way to subtly alter the game to be more in-line with the player's kinks. Depending on how the player tailors his interests, certain monsters may appear more frequently, item drop rates may change, or certain quest events/H-events may happen differently...

For example, the same way you ask about her favorite leisure activities (I imagine it will have an impact on her starting skills later), you could ask about his favorite type of monster- werewolves for furries, succubi for yuri action, tentacle monsters for... well, tentacles. You could also ask what kind of outfits he finds most attractive on women, and that could affect item drop chances during the game (though that might be a beast to affect, depending on how you were planning on handling inventory). It could also simply outright change the appearance of certain pre-scripted armors... it's likely that if he's designed the entire universe of the game, the best items might very well be schoolgirl uniforms he adores so much instead of full plate armor or bulletproof vests. But you probably already thought of that, and didn't feel it needed to be mentioned...

Similarly, if he's designed the virtual world, he might very well have made the items able to rip, but unable to be fully destroyed. So they can become ripped, torn, or simply left partly undone and open, but will never be fully destroyed unless some special ability is used on them. If there's a drawback to them being damaged, perhaps it's that they 'fall off', either onto a monster if removed by an attack, or onto the ground if something in the scenery like brambles or strong winds did it. It could be irritating to retrieve them, but they are never permanently lost except by glitch. Something such as a Rune, skill, service or special item can be used to restore them to fully working order.

There aren't more H-events in the current version.

Your ideas are awesome, and the kind of things that transforms a good RPG into a great one. But I think that spending time with the antagonist configutarion is something that doesn't really worth. I mean, not so much players would really care about him.

Mmmmm, interesting but it carries out a great complexity. But your idea gave me another option: just make different looks for the same armour and let the player choose his/her favourite. For example, you'll be able to buy the full plate and the uniform version of the same armour, and the stats they grant will be the same. Only the look will be different.

That's what I'll surely do. And Beth will have to go to the repair man and pay for it (or maybe she could use other kind of skills to get the repair free xD)

Let's just assume Beth has a skilled seamstress and clothing designer as a family member, so that any ripping or tearing of clothes is temporary and is back to normal after a rest or something.

Hey i though of another idea that could be good. at the beginning of the game you can choose which family backround you come from for example. (worrior class family) better hit points, more damage so on. (Prostitution class family) hornyness already I don't know say 20? already unlocked handjob and so on. (defensive class family) take less damage better armors at beginning of game. (Mage class family) better mage skills at the beginning,more damage with magic skills and so on. (Master cloths design calss) As Usernamerak3 said it takes longer to rip cloths, and the look of your cloths looks better. and thats all my ideas.

family idea sounds stupid to me. What your family does has nothing really to do with what you do like this idea implies.
You could say it's a game live with it and i say "Well does it really add anything to the game and if it does isn't there a better way of adding it"

Hell heres a idea. Past employment.

prostitute; (as said before.)

My comments in "customizing the antagonist" referred less to him as a character and more to how he would shape the virtual world, but yes, that would entail a great deal of complexity and is probably best left as an idea when much of the basic groundwork is done.

My main thoughts in the customization process-

If loot is going to be dropped from enemies or chests randomly, if the player has specified a preference for certain styles of armor (let's say a bikini for example), then when loot is rolled for, have it roll multiple hypothetical batches instead of just one. If any of those "batches" contain armor with the "bikini" tag, it is automatically selected (or moved to another round of selection, if many batches have bikinis in them). Perhaps in order to prevent a "bikini flood," such batches only receive a weighted average chance of selection instead of automatic. But I suspect anyone who professes interest in customized armors wouldn't mind...
That would require tagging every piece of inventory, but as you mention you've found a way to manage inventory info on your blog for the game, perhaps that's not an insurmountable task. Having a bit of programming experience, I know it's painful grunt work, but I'm sure lots of people (myself included) might not mind lending some time to keep you from getting bored with the project. (Sadly, though, the only other language I know is French, and not that much of it...)

If enemies are going to be encountered randomly, and the player has specified a preference, their odds of being populated get some weighted average. If the enemies are not encountered randomly, a simple visual swap can work for some enemies (random orcs become random vampires, for example) or just a simple replacement upon entering the area triggered by a universal variable.

An amusing thought, though it might not mesh with your storyline, would be to have Beth eventually gain the ability to have a "follower." Something fairly inconsequential to combat most of the time, but would help out with some magic similar to the way Runes work. It might even use the Rune slot as it follows around. My initial thought is that it could be created by the antagonist as a means to do multiple things: spy on her thoughts, nudge her to make "correct" decisions (in his mind at least), and help keep her from dying (he wants to torment her, not kill her after all). It would also "helpfully" allow her to change the appearance of her armor and weapons to things the Antagonist finds more suitable (not that it will tell her that's why). It might develop an attachment to Beth and operate on its own, depending on how Beth treats it or if it has a quest that can be completed for its benefit. (Such a quest might even unlock other followers of a similar type, that would allow for further costume-changes or special abilities, if it has any). Depending on the type of creature the follower is, it might lead to clever ways of completing quests- a spirit follower might be able to possess weak-willed, sleeping or unconscious people, while a bird might snatch shiny objects or read images from a dead man's eyes (if a Raven). A snake could lend venom and slip into small holes, and might even grant a bonus to Seduction if going a more mythical route. Of course, they could also possibly join in the fun if an H-event broke out (and would be expected to, if the Antagonist were behind their creation).

But again, horribly ambitious. I need to stop thinking up too much work for awesome people like you, creating projects for the benefit of others, when I can't actively help...

Somebody also suggested me the idea of background options too, and sounds very good. I'll surely add a list of backgrounds and a list of sex topics Beth is into, so in the intro you could select 1 background and up to 2 sex topics (so Beth will be less reluctant to sex of those topics).

But I'll do this in the future. Before working back in the intro, I'd like to do more playable stuff.

I agree. Once the game is more advanced, I'll think about that idea of how to adapt the world to player preferences.

Hello, Hnyarly. I wonder why dont anybody mention about perfomance or i just miss it ? I using linux and here flash uses software render(as i understand) instead of hardware, so perfomance is very low. So instead of game i see a slideshow, i have AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4400+ and both CPUs are loaded on ~70% and this is on low quality. I thought perfomance issue in surface? Can you do something about this? May be version for weak computers? :)

P.S. Sakyubasu no Tatakai runs fine, dont have any fps problems.

May I just take a minute to say that this is a hentai game with some of the greatest potential I have ever seen. The scene with gropey dwarf (I think that is what you called him on your blog) was one of the hottest scenes I have ever seen in a game. Kudos to the facial expressions, damn good job!

So, that pretty much is it. I just created an account to say that the first h scene for your game was brilliant and I am looking forward to when you add some more!!!

Mmmmm, do you still have performance problems even reducing flash quality? I've tried the game in slow PCs and Andriod phones, and it was slow but playable.
I knew that at some point, I'll have to do some code optimization to improve performance, but I expected to do in a future, when more game had been done. I also planned some future optimizations, like improving the algorithm I use to swap sprites' layers (but seems that will be very hard work).

Some people thinks those H-events are not hot enough. In those first events I prefered to focus in the situation more than the sex. I mean, I find a gnome blackmailing a girl more erotical than just a gnome gangbang. And it seems you agree.
But I understand than more people prefer more hardcore sex. Actually, sometimes I prefer too xD. So, I'll do both type of sex scenes.

About the next H-events you'll find in the game, don't expect to be very hardcore, but a little bit ones than the current you can find in. BTW, I hope I'll suprise you.

I have to mention this before, i have slideshow only in you blog version, with version from here, on first page with low quality fps is fine. And about flash quality - yes, always turning it to low. As a mentioned before, i dont have any perfomance issue with Sakyubasu no Tatakai and other LOK games. I dont know do you understand me or not(my english is really bad :oops: ) when i told you about surface perfomance issues i meant ground surface. May be you can (if you have enough time) fill ground surface with some color, without any textures and upload this version somewhere so i can check it out.
