Everyone:
Spoiler (click to show/hide):
Your crystal begins vibrating again. Despite what you are doing, you may or may not have time to take it out and examine it. As if sensing this, the crystal's hum intensifies, and Inquisitor Jo'rahn speaks, the noise emanating from you. "This is an automated message. The Magicii have finally distributed your funds through your crystals. You each have twenty Ulji'ra coins, and five Compono coins. You may requisition these coins from your crystal by holding it in your palm facing upwards, and thinking: 'Ultima Prosper, X, Z.' with X being the coin type and Z being the amount. Your coins will be transferred to you in your hand through the use of teleportation, so do not request forty Ulji'ra coins, as they will overflow your hand. To deposit funds, hold your crystal in your hand along your palm like before, and with your other hand, you must drop the coins you have collected into your opposite palm, while thinking of the words: 'Ultima Treasury.' If you do not have access to both of your hands, you may simply press as many coins as you'd like against the crystal while thinking of the words. That will be all. God bless you." And as quick as that, the crystal dulls to its original darkened state.

You crouch slightly and place your hand on your katana, ready to bolt in any direction if you could not lash out at something hostile before it got to you. (Threat roll: 16, quantity roll: 6) Unfortunately, as you listen more closely to the sound of rustling through the woods, you realize that it isn't just one creature; It's multiple entities! Steeling yourself with this knowledge, you don't have to wait much longer until a party of seven goblins suddenly thrust themselves out of the bushes, snarling and snapping their jaws shut as they look around briefly, before spotting you. On opposite sides of the river, both you and the group of goblins have yourselves a staredown. Neither of you make a move for the briefest of moments, before a goblin with a half-helmet that fails to cover his jaw yet the entire portion of his head raises a small machete and screams, sounding a battle call. They all charge forwards to the river, but with their height never exceeding a total of five feet, they'd more than likely have to swim over to you. You feel confident that you could cut down at least a few of them before they could reach the shore of the river, (Enemy wit roll: 3) and fortunately, they don't seem to be smart enough to come up with a plan better than that one.
They dive head-first into the water, the river spanning about ten feet wide as they kick their feet and begin swimming at you alarmingly fast. They really are dumb; They're all swimming towards the same spot and are going straight for you, tactics to the wind!

Spoiler (click to show/hide):
As you peer around the grass looking for the creature, it fails to show itself as it would either be hiding, or attempting to flank around and ambush you. You don't see any movements, nor does it continue making any noises. Having believed in yourself that you were confident enough to fire at the creature, you do just that, and launch a volley down at the area you believed it would be in. (Roll: 11 [Blind attack: -5] = 6) You don't hear a reaction coming from the creature. Could you have hit it in the he-
Just as you (Roll: 17) nock another bolt in your crossbow, the grass rapidly shifts and brushes noisily coming in a curved pattern towards you, the creature isn't dead! You raise your bow and aim down the sights, attempting to calm yourself in this alarmingly-fast encounter. You have less than a second to hit it, or else it will probably jump at you again. (Roll: 11 [Half of Perception + Dexterity = 8, surprised debuff: -4 = 4] = 15) Despite being surprised by the creature's quickness, the ferocity, and the fact that it's still alive, you track it with a bit of difficulty as it races towards you and jumps in the air, limbs outstretched-- Only to be skewered mid-air by your crossbow bolt straight through its' middle. The bolt lands with a satisfying thwack and the creature flies off into the grass, before getting impaled into the ground.
Stepping up to it, you check the body after collecting the other bolt that had gone wide, and take a closer look down at the creature before you. Despite your earlier thoughts on it being something akin to a spider, it is, in fact, not. Its' body is covered in green scales, with its underbelly a slightly lighter color. It hardly has a face to speak of; Just two red, slitted-pupil eyes and a small circular hole between them which is inhaling and exhaling extremely quickly. Looking down its body, its limbs appear to be best suited to lock around something, and you eerily recognize that it would have been your head. Towards its crotch is a genital slit; It's almost too small for you to see, but it's definitely there. You'd imagine that it would be close to your mouth, should the creature have latched onto you.
The creature emits another few garbled chucks, and something that sounds faintly of human laughter, along with a heavily-distorted: "W-wwwww-wha-a-aaat wzzzzzzz t-that?", stuttering and sounding like a coughing fit of collected blood in the creature's lungs, before it finally settles and dies. Blood pools on the grass beneath the creature, though you can't imagine that you've come into contact with corrupted entities yet. Those will probably be further down the line; This was just a regular creature that pervails in the land of Arae. Maybe if you encountered more, or met someone who knows the wildlife, you could learn more about them?

Spoiler (click to show/hide):
As you step back from the bushes and steel yourself, the rustling grows louder and louder, until: (Threat roll: 11) A man dressed in leather armor, somewhat on the thin side, steps through and groans, holding his head as it would be covered by both a hood and a black mask, rendering his identity utterly unrecognizable. He seems to be content to continue walking forwards towards you as he for all intents and purposes doesn't so much as see you, until you either stop him by calling out, or he gets close enough to look down at you while holding his head.
In either situation, he immediately jumps back and whips his hand around, unsheathing a dagger from behind his back and holding it up with a practiced stance. He looks legitimately caught off-guard, though when he speaks it's of a strong voice and a stern tone. "You there, little bitch. It's not very polite to sneak up on someone. Give me all your fuckin' money, or I'll slit your throat. Don't fuck with me, I'm serious." He warns you, starting to lower himself into a combat stance. It seems you have a fight on your hands!

Spoiler (click to show/hide):
As you cautiously edge your way closer to the figure in the distance, they're starting to look tall. Easily starting to look as tall as six feet, though they don't seem to be your height. It's only when you just start to get a tad bit closer, that (Roll: 2 [Half of Perception = 3 - DANGEROUS ENEMY = 0] = 2.) you fail to notice a rustling in the grass behind you. It's when a vicious growling from behind you starts do you turn around, though not in time- A leopard is already leaping in the air towards you; (Roll: 19 [Dexterity divided by 1/4 = 1, surprised debuff: 4] = 16) You manage to sidestep and dodge the leopard, taking a swing at it with your newly-acquired sword, though as you bring it down, you only manage to shave a few hairs off the tip of its' tail. It lands on its feet and snarls at you, baring its fangs.
As you get a good look at it, you see that it's got-...Leather armor along its body, with a satchel along its right side. It's likely a companion of someone, though you can't afford to divert your focus right now, on account of its tail flicking as it prepares to launch itself at you again. (Roll: 6) Unfortunately, although you're more prepared this time, you're not prepared for the fact that it first darts along at you in a linear pattern, which would be in a straight line, before it suddenly digs its paws into the ground, flings itself to the side, and then leaps at you! Fortunately, it digs its claws into the arm of your leather armor that wasn't non-existant, and that takes the brunt of the sharp claws and teeth digging into you. (-3 health!) As the leopard mauls you, you notice a smell starting to emanate from your forearm, along with the feeling of liquid trailing down your hand. You growl and (Roll: 14 [Strength divided by 1/4 = 4] = 18) charge your arm up to volley it off of you, quickly whipping your hand around in an upwards manner in hopes of sending the fucker into the air. Unfortunately, it senses your plan and immediately jumps off of you, and lands on its paws, growling and glaring.
Just then, a horn sounds from the general area where you first spotted the unknown figure; Its' appearance still unbeknownst to you. The leopard issues one final growl, before immediately turning around and darting off. Blood seethes down your shoulder, and although the cuts aren't deep nor are your wounds life-threatening, stopping the bleeding would be a very good idea.
Looking down at your arm that was mauled, there are several gouges and rips along the arm of your armor, though it appears on the whole, unscathed. You look at your forearm and see just what happened, before recoiling at the scent of piss. It seems you've been urinated on by the leopard, though only a thin stream dribbles down your hand onto the ground. You have a distinct feeling that this is not the last you've seen of the unknown figure.

Spoiler (click to show/hide):
As you receive the message from the Inquisitor, you nod and recognize how much money you've got in your account. A twinkle appears in the man's eye as you ask what he has for sale, and he hops off the wagon with enthusiasm. Stepping up to the right side of his wagon, he grins to you and simply hits the side of it with his fist. Instantly, the wall of the wagon collapses and then neatly falls to the floor, and an incredibly large array of miscellaneous gear neatly rolls into place. The wagon likely had an enchanted prospect about it, or he was moving each and every single item with magic without speaking the words; In either case, magic is prevalent when it comes to this man.
"Just anything a seasoned traveler could ever need, my dear!" He proudly explains. He unveils his hand around the newly-formed table out the side of his wagon at his merchandise, and you eagerly paroose his wares.
Ulmnioson fruit: Fills your stomach up quickly; Though your Intelligence takes a large toll. (20 copper)

Bottle of alcohol: A bottle of whiskey. (15 copper)
A collection of ropes, snares, and small crafting materials. (Price dependent on amount and quality purchased)
A small blue crystal with a pulsing, aqua aura around it. It gives off a minor health and mana regeneration field that affects only you, though the affect will attract anything that can sense holy properties, demons being among these, and you get a -3 to all roles. (60 copper)
A small vial of blue liquid, which when rubbed on your skin, providing you with an extra layer of protection. However, you may be severely allergic to this concoction, and the affect will only last for 72 hours. (50 copper)
A vial of green liquid, said to be a paralyzing potion that has a chance to fail. (40 copper)
The shopkeeper grins and tips his tophat up at you, the twinkle in his eye still present as he cocks his head. "So, willing to buy anything, lass? Unfortunately, I don't have the capacity to repair items, I apologize."

You hear the message cast out by Inquisitor Jo'rahn through the crystal, and recognize that you do indeed have money to pay for him, causing you to shut your mouth before you speak about being poor. The wizard laughs as he snaps his fingers, and out pours a magnificent gust of wind that sends his purple robes flapping, making him look like a man taking on a storm. As you close your eyes to avoid the heavy buffet of wind, you slowly open them to see that the man's shop has already been completely set up!
A light-wood staff rests along a dark-wood table, the end of it outstretching into a bright-blue bulb of luminescence. This staff is infused with the breath of a sage frog, and was crafted using birch-wood. It's a step up from your current staff, and it also provides light automatically, at the small cost of a spark of your mana every ten minutes. (80 copper)
A water scroll, capable of a spell that calls rain in the area around you to buffet the earth ruthlessly. While not a spell that causes damage, it sparks a heavy rain that can be useful for a multitude of situations. Only has three uses. (40 copper)
A fire scroll, capable of a fireball that explodes upon contact with something after it's cast. Has five uses. (30 copper)
A dark-magic scroll, capable of increasing the lust of your target along with casting temporary illusions of what the caster wills them to be. You gain corruption if you use this spell. Has four uses. (40 copper)
A blank tome, capable of writing your exploits, spells, or something else entirely in. Used also for creating new spells, or recording an incantation on a scroll so that you may learn it later, as opposed to using the scrolls and throwing them away. (70 copper)
A bag of go'ri's breath. This powder may be infused within a wand or staff or something of the like, increasing its conductivity and in turn, increasing the weapon's magical effectiveness. Has a chance to fail the operation if the user is unskilled. (60 copper)
The mage grins as he confidently crosses his arms. "I do happen to repair certain things, though...By the feeling of that cloak, it's magical-imbued. The price will be 60 copper to repair it to its full potential. So, my child. What'll it be?"

Spoiler (click to show/hide):
You growl as your face stings with the hot presence of your blood, which trickles down your cheek. Your axes are in your hands as you roar and strike out at the lizan, (Roll: 10) barely grazing along its chest as you would have gouged out a bit of its leather armor, leaving a satisfying, deep cut along its chest. It snarls and barks, before lashing out towards you, (Roll: 2) and completely misses you, losing its balance as it lets out a hiss and starts tumbling towards the ground! (Roll: 1!) Unfortunately, just as you yourself are going to counterattack, you lose your balance as well and fall on top of the poor lizan! It screams in protest at your overbearing physique and kicks its limbs attempting to get you off. (Roll: 13) Fortunately, you manage to stay on top of it and you grin as you drop your axes to the ground. You reach forwards and grab his helmet with both hands, starting to increase the pressure on its head dramatically. You howl in your bloodlust as you press your fingers and hands harder and harder against the screaming lizan, before its' helmet concaves into its skull, blood starting to spurt from 'neath the helmet and run down its' scales. You slowly stand up, satisfied that it'd be too busy clutching its' head in pain to move, and grip both of your axes. You raise them above your head, and with a boomingly-loud war cry, bring the two of them down on the lizan's neck, treating it like a chopping block as you sever its neck, its head rolling along the ground. You're hit by a spray of blood starting at your shin and raising to your eye, further accentuating your bloodlust.
The lizan looked to have some equipment; Its sword was small, but at least appears to be sharp.
