Is there room for one more in this RP? Been wanting to get back into things on this forum for a while, and while my life got a bit too busy to keep up with it in the past, I did enjoy Misc's old Pokemon RP when I still had time for it.
Here's my CS, if you'll have me.
-Name/Age: Tsubaki Zanbo.
-Gender: Female.
-Biological Appearance: (had to go with text, since my old pic for this character is no longer available...)
Spoiler (click to show/hide):
Generally speaking, Tsubaki's figure appears moderately athletic; she's no bodybuilder or Olympian athlete, but her muscular structure is indicative of her physical activity as a child. That being said, puberty was relatively kind to her; her C-cup breasts filled out in a way that doesn't impede her roaming, adventurous nature, and the growth of her muscles was complimented with subtle, yet noticeable curves in all the right places. Her eyes are usually brown, but some claim that they seem to light up like little embers when she feels excited or angry. Her hair is a slightly orange-ish hue of the usual red, and her skin tone appears slightly tanned, reflecting her love for the great outdoors.
However, there is something about Tsubaki that sets her apart from the others of her hometown in Orre's Phenac City. Instead of the usual human ears, a pair of fox-like ears with rosy-colored fur to match her hair sprout up above her head, and a short yet bushy canine tail sprouts from just above her waistline. As it turns out, Tsubaki is a half-Pokemon, half-human hybrid; while she was born from a human mother, her father was a Pokemon. It seems that while exceptionally rare, some human+Pokemon romps can end up fertilizing the female participant, leading to hybrid offspring. "Which Pokemon was the dad," you ask? Well, mom always said an Arcanine, but Tsubaki's come to doubt that recently. After all, if daddy was an Arcanine, then why does she have a red-furred tail instead of the more blonde-ish color that an Arcanine sports? Perhaps one day she'll figure out what her father really was...
-Handedness: Ambidextrous.
-Preferred Fashion: Tsubaki's usual attire is either tan denim shorts or jeans (depending on the weather), combined with a magenta shirt with sleeves appropriate for the season. Her choice of footwear is almost universally tennis shoes, given her outdoor adventuring habits. She also keeps a pair of brown leather gloves on, to keep her hands from getting callouses; she may not be the most popular gal with the boys, but when she finds that special someone, she wants her hands to be silky-smooth for the cuddling and...other stuff.
-Outward Personality: Provided that the people she's with aren't a bunch of morons or dick-driven pervs, Tsubaki's usual demeanor is a kind and social one, albeit a tad eccentric with a dash of tomboy. She's also not afraid to show off Nobi to her friends and get them acquainted, since Nobi is almost like a son to her. Of course, said motherly affection with Nobi means that an easy way to piss her off is to bring harm upon him...and woe be to anyone foolish enough to do so, for their fate will be far worse than just losing a Pokemon battle and "whiting out"...
-Sexual Preference: In spite of what one might guess by her hybrid genetics, Tsubaki has no interest in doing it with Pokemon. Her mother may have done so willingly, but it's like any other form of sexuality; just because a parent swings one way doesn't mean the child will do the same. No, Tsubaki wants her partner to be at least 50% human...even though she doubts her chances of even meeting another hybrid in her lifetime, much less long enough to develop a relationship. Her current preference would be a guy, though she has been feeling a tiny bit bi-curious more recently; she wouldn't strive for it on her own, but if she develops feelings for another woman, she might be willing to give it a try. In either case, it's the "why" that really determines who she is and is not willing to share a bed with; a woman has to have standards, and her standards can be summarized as "fun, kind, and willing to roam the wilds with her." Those standards can't be too high, right?
-Turn Ons: Being a big fan of the outdoors, the thought of a hot night out with her lover in the untamed lands of mother nature is certainly an enticing one for Tsubaki. Unfortunately, she fears it may just remain a little fantasy of hers, considering the threat of wild Pokemon attacks that would be inherent in such a scenario. Aside from that, however, Tsubaki is a sucker for a romantic atmosphere. If her partner wants to make her night, a great way to do so is with some well-placed candle light, or a starry night on a just-the-two-of-us camping trip.
-Turn Offs: Aside from the usual set of generally disturbing fetishes (vore, guro, scat, watersports, etc), Tsubaki generally has zero tolerance for being treated like an object in the bedroom. If she's sharing the sheets with someone, it's because she feels a special connection with her partner, and trusts them to care as much for her satisfaction as their own. Oh, and don't bring your Pokemon into it, either; remember, just because her mother did it with one doesn't mean she'll invite them into her own bed as well.
-Turn Mediums: Eh...anal could qualify as this, though closer to the "no" side of the scale than the "yes" side. Like, your only real chance of that is to be
married to her, and for said marriage to be on fairy tale levels of happy. In other words, if she is willing to let a man stick it in her back door, then he had better be ready to devote his life to her.
-Beliefs and Ideals: Tsubaki's moral standing is largely in favor of personal freedom. She believes that everyone should be able to live their life as they see fit, as long as doing so doesn't harm anyone else. That being said, every person
is still responsible for their actions in exercising said freedom; if someone commits their life to a path that is inherently oppressive and/or harmful (such as the escapades of groups like Cipher and Team Rocket), then they should be ready for the consequences of their behavior, up to and including dealing with those who would use force to stop them. For this reason, she has often seen the underground Cipher organization of Orre's history as a representation of great evil, for not only did they mass-produce Shadow Pokemon that were utterly robbed of any sense of individual freedom, but were perfectly willing to use said Shadow Pokemon as biological weapons with which to place the entire world under their feet. Thankfully, she was born in an age when Cipher had already disbanded, after not one but
two upstart youths with powerful Pokemon teams utterly wrecked their shit.
-Goals: Tsubaki's ultimate goal is actually not one that is meant to be achieved within anyone's lifetime. All she needs to keep her going is her natural thirst for adventure, and the freedom to seek out said adventure. Her home region of Orre had plenty in terms of unsettled outdoor environments, yeah...but more than half of it was just pure desert, and there's no adventure to be had in that. Not to mention that Phenac City - her hometown - was an oasis smack dab in the middle of said empty desert, which one could only leave with a vehicle rugged enough to handle all the dust and heat out there. Thankfully, this "Hoenn" region sounds a lot more adventurous from what she read on the travel pamphlets in Gateon Port. All those forests on the mainland seem to Tsubaki as a ball-filled playpen would to a small child: vast, colorful, and so very fun to play around in. Indeed, the thought of so much prime material for adventure was what helped her step onto the boat to get there, as Tsubaki's not very fond of water...
-Current Team: Nobi (Growlithe)
...and for the start, that's really about it. Wild Pokemon weren't all that common in Orre until recently, mostly due to the
huge honking desert covering most of it, but after a number of projects to try and re-cultivate the earth little by little, there have been a small handful of sites where they have sprouted up. Nobi, however, was not one of those few wild Pokemon; instead, Tsubaki found him in the street at a very young age, and took him in to be raised like her own flesh and blood. Ever since, they've become inseparable partners, appropriately akin to mother and son...and anyone who implies that there's any sexual element to that partnership may find that Nobi's teeth are often a conduit for his disapproval.
-Background:
Spoiler (click to show/hide):
Tsubaki was born in the Orre region, in a remote oasis city by the name of Phenac. Unlike most in Phenac City, however, her family hadn't lived there for generations. No, her mother - Mika Zanbo - was brought there from Pyrite Town by uncle Kouga, already 3 months into carrying a Pokemon's baby. Considering the nature of the father, Kouga felt that the child would not be safe in Pyrite, what with its notorious crime rates and occasionally trigger-happy cops. It seemed to them that the gentle, pristine waters and calm community of Phenac was far more fitting. 6 months later, Tsubaki was born, and raised as a citizen of Phenac City by birth, separate from the slums of her family's origin.
However, the oasis in which Tsubaki's hometown was rooted had nothing but barren wastelands beyond it for miles and miles, meaning that whatever entertainment she wanted had to be found inside the city, leaving her with relatively few options. At first, she tried to sate her innate thirst for adventure with video games, but those only kept her content for a couple years. She needed more physical interaction in the mix, more actual adventuring, instead of sitting in front of a screen and pretending to be on an adventure.
Caught between a Geodude and a hard Metapod for much of her childhood, Tsubaki's luck started to change when she found a lone Growlithe puppy wandering the streets in the waning hours of the sun one day. Feeling sympathy and compassion for the little thing, she brought him home and - after mom got him checked for any diseases - had her first Pokemon companion, whom she gladly named Nobi. From then on, Tsubaki nursed Nobi back to health, treating him like a child of her own making, even though she was only 12 years old at the time. For the next few years, the two lived alongside each other in peace, inseparable and without a care in the world.
Not too long after her 15th birthday, however, Tsubaki's thirst for adventure took her out into the desert surrounding Phenac City one night, with Nobi following faithfully just behind. What she was hoping to find out there, she didn't know; she had enough food and water packed to last for about a week, though she had to sneak it out of her mother's fridge, since mom would never approve of this sort of thing. Still, anything would be better than the boring oasis town, right?
Unfortunately, this was where nature - cruel mistress that she is - chose to show Tsubaki why the shelter of one's home is not to be taken for granted. The darkness of the wasteland's night sky was not something she was used to wandering through, and not long after leaving Phenac's city limits, a wild Spearow dove in seemingly out of nowhere, pecking and clawing at her with alarming ferocity. Were it not for Nobi's equally ferocious intervention, she would have been lucky to escape that encounter at all, much less without suffering any permanent damage. Nobi, however, was not so lucky; while she was able to get him to Phenac City's Pokemon Center just in time (thankfully, they were open 24/7), he still bears a visible scar across his right eye, a constant reminder to his adoptive mother of why one must always prepare before setting out into the wild. Her spirit for adventure might be indomitable, but she now knows that said spirit must be tempered with appropriate caution. After all, she had someone to look after now...and she'll be damned if she just lets someone scar her precious little Nobi again.
-What Brings You to Littleroot?: "Self-explanatory" is right. After all the previous hawking of Tsubaki's love for adventure, it should be rather obvious as to why she's come to Littleroot. Compared to the sparse settlements and vast deserts of Orre, there's so very much more to do on this side of the ocean.
-Miscellaneous: It should be noted that because of how she met and raised Nobi, Tsubaki does not have a Pokeball to keep him in. It's not the same deal as with Pikachu in the anime, though; instead of Nobi refusing to hop into one, Tsubaki simply can't bear the thought of what is practically her adopted son being cooped up inside some little ball to be hung along her waistline.
