Water!
It's your first thought as you wake up. Surrounding you, crushing you, drowning you, darkness and water.
You can't breathe, thrashing and struggling seems to do very little, though as seconds that feel elongated into minutes tick by you see a light above you and things brighten. You realize you are floating towards the surface as the murky depths give way to aqua green. There is something around your neck, pushing you upwards to the surface, it covers part of your face as well, sticking down your throat as you feel it pump a last breath of air into your lungs.
Your vision dims again and you realize you are almost at the end, maybe your life, filled with violence, flashes before your eyes and maybe it doesn't. All you know is that you're about to die; and that's when you breach the surface.
The device, or whatever it was, suddenly bursts free of you and sinks back down into the murky depths below, out of sight. Looking up you see a cloudless blue sky above, the heat of sun beating down upon your face in the warm water. To the front you see a large island in the distant, covered in thick jungle it is the only landmass in sight. You are just realizing you are naked when suddenly a metal pod bursts to the surface nearby and bobs about on the short choppy waves. With nothing else to do you grab the pod and swim to shore, using it as a make shift float.
When you reach the sandy beach the pods suddenly cracks open, revealing everything you had on and were carrying before... before... You can't remember how you got here, it was just a normal day and the suddenly there was a blinding a light, followed the blackness of watery abyss behind you.
Your thoughts are suddenly snatched away as you hear the unmistakable sound of a gunfire and screaming in the distance.

You are violence. Controlled, wild, directed, restrained, unleashed. It doesn't matter what adjective you put before it, violence has been a part of you for sometimes, a welcome or unwelcome old friend. It's part of your daily existence and has helped shape and mold who you are. Maybe you were soldier, a cop, someone who protected others... or maybe you weren't, maybe you were good at it and that's how you paid your way through this world, maybe people needed protecting from you.
Character Examples: Soldier, Mercenary, Militia, Police Officer, Professional Fighter, Thug, Gang Enforcer, Convict on Death Row etc

This RP will use a Blind System. That is to say, there's a system but you wont see it. Your character will still have stats and dice will be rolled to determine outcome, but you wont know what your stats are or what the dice results were, you'll only find out the narrative result.
The reason for this is I'm going for a survival/horror feel for this RP and I find this helps sets the mood, the unease created by the unknown. The stat line and skills of your character will be based off your description of your character so you will know roughly how good you are at something, but not exactly. It's been my experience that this stops the power or metagaming of a character walking into a horde of enemies because they know their stats will get them out of it, it helps create the actual fear of enemies.
