Im going to be honest. I am not a fan of jrpgs. I came for the porn.

And then holy fuck man your story. The second it changed to Simon the game and it's story just got more compelling. I'm at the point where I could give less of a fuck about the porn, i just want more gameplay. It's story is just interesting and enjoyable. I've been awake since 1 in the morning today playing through to the finish.

I didnt think i was going to at first, but i'll probably wind up backing you on Patreon. All I hope is you continue to deliver on a good jrpg with a really engaging story. This is probably the best rpg maker game i've ever seen, and of course it was a damn porn game.

I cant even express how frustrated I am because i was playing some other games, started this on a lark and now they're just "Hey we're here love us ;--;" and all i am is "meh"

I got the message I needed a mage, I slept on the bed, nothing happened. :(

Have you followed up with Megail since coming to Stineford? Advance that part of the plot first.

I gotta wait to play the new stuff? *mutter mutter* you're punishing those of us that are poor! (joking aside, looking forward to the new stuff soon)

One thing I have noticed after replaying from the start (I had the shining sword and shining armor then realized I couldn't sell them) is Simon tends to keep his emotions in check a lot - fairly obvious when people are trying to get a rise out of him or otherwise seems... I don't know, maybe *tired of the status quo* is the right thing?

One question, will I be able to transfer my save from 8.2 to new version or should I start anew? Other games it seems buggy when I save from an earlier build, although once in a while I can transfer the save without any glitches

You should be able to transfer your save bug-free to the next version, and hopefully through the rest of the game. People had to restart for version 0.8.x, but every other version has transferred smoothly. I know not everyone wants to replay, so I always try to keep things stable.

I have, but I don't have 50,000 Sx only about 27,500.
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

I guess the mine is one source of trading material, obviously I can't get through the gate yet. I've also been through some of the spider house and found the 'strong silk' but it doesn't seem to do anything yet.

@Anon21:
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

The mine is worth a lot, yes, and the silk is related to a quest you haven't been given yet. Now, if your situation is really:
1) Had the conversation with Megail
2) Slept in the bed afterward
3) Never met Robin, can't enter the Academy

Then you're describing a bug that no one has ever reported. Are you sure all those conditions are true for the save you're using?

I have to say "Thank you!" for your amazing and promising game!

Gradual corruption, stupid Chosen Ones, incompetent clerics, sexy demons and Riala - this is all very good and i never can get enough. And humor very good too. 8-)

I wish you inspiration, good health and happiness. :)

And this must be a typo.

Spoiler (click to show/hide):

I've seen enough enough now - i don't have a reason to fight you. (Yarra the Succubus, first encounter)

Have a good day!

Thanks, glad you're enjoying it so far! You have an update coming for you real soon. =D

And yeah, that's a typo none of us caught. It'll be fixed in 0.9.1, thanks.

Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Megail is the rich merchant lady who has the suite at the inn? If so then yes I spoke to her and slept in the bed afterwards and no I couldn't get into the academy. I guess I was using the latest public release. 0.8.2.
Unfortunately it looks like I deleted the game after playing as far as I could (oops) so I can't double-check anything.

Er, if I sign up to the Patreon at $5 now, the first payment would go out on July 1st and 0.9.1 will be out shortly later? I'm not sure I want to commit to a long term $5 / month but I would prefer to replay with the latest version if possible.

Version 0.9.1 has been released publicly! ^-^ Get it here:

As you can see above, 0.9.1 is the public release, so you're getting it right now. ^^ If you pledged now, you'd pay $5 on July 1st - you could then cancel at any time and you'd still receive 0.10.0 later in the month.

Saves can be transferred between all versions after 0.8.0, by the way, so keep them unless you want to replay.

I wanted to replay this time anyway. I'm sure I missed some stuff, and I want to be more careful with my money this time through.

Oh hey, bug. I managed to freeze the game. ^ ^;

I went back to the village with Simon, he was all "Let me think" and then after I first convinced him to boink Yarra we talked to the old man at the West side of town. Only nobody said anything, the game froze. I tried replaying to the same state but I haven't managed to get it to crash again.

Bug 2. It looks like the orc infested farm has communication problems. When I went back there after the initial encounter, nobody was talking and the game froze when I tried to speak to the lead orc. I loaded a recent save and tried again - that time it worked. *shrug* I hate intermittent bugs.

For some reason, I can't give the salvaged wreckage from Rebel's pass to the red-haired person in Stineford?

Next time you get something like this, try hitting Ctrl, which hides the text box. That can give the appearance of freezing.

Sadly, you're not the only one. I hope to figure out why some people are getting this bug before 0.10.0.

Played through the new version, and splendid work, as always.
I like how you actually have choices about your new companions.
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Will we later be able to decide on how we breed orks?

I didn't get to the bridge, though; Does that mean that you can only do a certain amount of things per time period, or did I just hit the ending trigger before I got there?
What's notable is that I didn't hit any roadblock fights this time, aka nothing that required be to bruteforce my way through with the reload function. That's a nice touch. ;)
I suppose to get any Trin scenes, I do need to behave more asshole? ;)
Oh, btw, end of last version, trin asked me if she should duplicate a bank clerk, and I said not yet, and then the option never came up again.
Would it have had I had the money?

Also, in the camp, I get a scene with Hilstara that clearly assumed we were still in the castle.

Spoiler (click to show/hide):

It'll definitely be in the plot! I haven't decided how much player choice I can code or have a use for in the game, though. Definitely going to be an ongoing objective/sidequest, though.

UnLimiTeD Wrote:I didn't get to the bridge, though; Does that mean that you can only do a certain amount of things per time period, or did I just hit the ending trigger before I got there?

It's in the Stineford region and isn't the most obvious quest. Seems to be bugged for about 50% of people, though.

UnLimiTeD Wrote:I suppose to get any Trin scenes, I do need to behave more asshole? ;)

Well, her variable also starts pretty low. But being an asshole helps. ^^

I believe that one is money-triggered, yes.

I ran into an interesting thing, dunno if I did something or if she just gets 15 relationship points from act 1 to act 2...

I agreed to let Trin zap the bank guy, that raised her relationship to 15. Outside of asking Robin about the contract and having her research it, I didn't do anything to warrant increasing Trin's relationship, but it increased 15 points to 30. Does doing that increase her affection for you because you are interested (sort of) in her?

One question on the new content: it's more or less linear for act 1, but act 2 is much more free-range. Are you intending to have it be fairly free-range from act 2 on? One of my favorite RPGs had a *you need to get to point A, but you can take the most roundabout way to get there* and I loved it for that reason. Will The Last Sovereign follow a fairly linear path or a fairly *get to point A but you can see the sights first* style?

EDIT: I found a typo. After you fend off the Impaler, Ana thanks you... with a question. *Thank you for getting rid of the orcs?* She isn't sure you defeated the orcs? :P

Well, mostly it's now "You need to get to A and B, and eventually C, but in which order if your business. Oh, and look at those nice flowers!".^^
Regarding Orcs:
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

You could work with limited exposition. Have player Choice slightly modify army quantity and quality, and then have one or two evens where it makes a difference. Single Scripted Scene, or limited time party member, or some text.

So tired. -_- People who have sent me private messages, I'm glad to get them, but please be patient with me.

Smeardy Bro Wrote:what with the "Consolidate economic resources" in CH2 "Preparation" Quest ???

They can't be finished yet. The big chapter quests will often have objectives that can't be completed for a long time.

I've tried to be up front in saying that I like linear RPGs. You can expect a few free-range sections and some flexibility, but that's not going to be the norm.

Doh. >.<

Oh, stuff like that you're definitely getting. Some of it's already in the game (the variables just aren't used yet). I'm just not sure if there will be a whole elaborate system for it.

One correction:
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Trin gets an automatic +5 at the beginning of the chapter. The remaining +10 only occurs if you did the contract research with Robin.
